  1. Something else I encountered. I was in a mission, with 3 others. As expected, after a couple of minutes the lag dropped in. Got to the point where I was frozen and was expecting the usual message "connection to host lost, returning to multiplayer menu", but this time it was different. The other 3 dropped out and I was alone and the lag spikes went away and I could play as normal again. Maybe I was the host and the other 3 got the message.

    ich frag nur weil allein eine linse zu bekommen is schon schwer wie soll man denn da bitte schön 4 bekommen um ne starke linse craften zu können D:

    Und das noch Solo, weil wegen der Lag Bug, ist Multiplayer für viele noch nicht möglich.

    you might want to change your screen resolution to a higher setting, you should see it then.

    Looking at your picture, your resolution is set funny anyway, the screen looks stretched from top to bottom, or squeezed in from the sides.

    I submitted a ticket with my EE.log, but I recieved a reply saying the problem was known and was being worked on and the ticket was closed. Do I need to resubmit or are these ee. files being used depsite the ticket being shut down?

  5. ooh BSoD ... you might want to do a RAM check to rule that out as most BSoDs come from faulty RAM.

    I can assure you that we are still investigating the issue regarding hitching/stuttering after U18 and it is very high on our list. 
    Alt-Tab is also being looked at.

    Is there any Idea where this is coming from. Usually I just get a hotfix and things go on ,, but some of us would be interested to hear what the problem was with this :)

  6. Although this may fix some peoples game, this is not the source of the problem for most. 

     

    The Lag spiking looks like some sort of memory leak or network problem. 

     

    See if a fix comes soon , as untill then I can only play solo, and sortee is a bit of a prblem on your own, and I NEED that lens :)

  7. I certainly think it is some sort of memory / network problem. 

     

    I have the little info console open, and the ms time starts spiking causing the lag. Even if I do finish a mission (I rush and get out asap if i am in a squad) then the bug stays in the menus forcing me to restart the game. 

     

    I can really only go solo, but the sortee missions are too hard for solo and i NEED that lens :)

  8. I cant say why this is so powerfull. What I can say is this, the DE team have done an absolutley fantastic job of capturing emotions. This music score not only sounds nice, but it seems to physically enduce an emotional feeling. I really really dont believe this could have been done any better and so look forward to further cinematics and music. 

     

    I ask myself, can it really get any better ? :)

  9. This has got the be the strangest bug I've ever encountered. It appears to only happen during multiplayer. Playing solo, there might be some minor framerate drops, but it is still playable. Playing online however, after about 5 minutes of play the game starts to stutter and lag. This lag gets progressively worse until eventually I lag so bad that I "lose connection the the host." It feels almost like a memory leak, but it does indeed appear to be GPU usage dropping to 0%. Very odd indeed. Perhaps it could be a VRAM leak?

    I also think its a network problem, as the lag goes up, which drops the fps, and not the fps dropping due to gpu overload.

  10. There are numerous theads on this. We have all submited tickets. DE are aware if the problem and are working on it.

    Update 18.0.2 didnt fix it.

    Changing vsync and/or capping framerate wont cure this problem.

    My opinion is, it is network related, as I can play solo (there is minimal stutter but no freezing), but cant play more than 2 minutes in a team.

    Wait out and see when a hotfix comes I suppose.

    Dont uninstall ;-)

    Last time the update bought such problems was U14 if I remember rightly. Took a week to fix with many hotfix patches. Just take a couple of days break from it. If you uninstall, you will only find yourself redownloading it in a weeks time. Once a space ninja, alway a space ninja.

  11. I use an intel CPU, Core 2 Duo, which up untill now worked fine, so it is not just an AMD related problem.

    My ticket was answered with “we recognise the problem and are working on it, watch out for updates“, so a hotfix will come soon ;-)

  12. Exactly the same with me. I posted my EE log.

     

    It "feels" like Ram is filling up. The Ram indicator at the bottom of page says otherwise, but thats how it feels. You get into game (in my case the first Sortee mission), its ok for 2 minutes, then you notice a stutter. The stutter becomes 1 second lags, and eventually you cant even move and in the end the FPS froms to 0, the ms shoots up over 2000/3000. This only takes about 2 - 3 minutes once the stuttering has started, and finally you get a host migration screen and end up bak in the lisset. When you do get to Lisset, the mouse is still "sticky" 

    I put my GFX settings to absolute minimum to see what happens, nothing changed other than the play time increased from (above mentioned) 2 minutes to about 5 minutes. 

     

    turning VSync on and off made also no difference.
