  1. I'm 21 years old and still play Pokemon, a big piss off to all of the "haters"...I hate that word. What starters did you guys choose? For me it was a no brainer, Fenneken. The frog pokemon didn't exactly appeal to me, nor did the fortress looking one (doesn't the frog 3rd evolution have a tongue for a scarf? Warframe idea right there).

  2. Actually there were walkthroughs, its just that your enormous brain couldn't figure out how to access them. Strategy guides and walk walkthroughs have been available since the dawn of computer gaming. I used to personally sell walkthoughs for Infocom text adventures back in the day. And once Usenet got popular, you could get most any game info ya needed. With the launch of gamefaqs in 1995, stuff was very easy to access. Before 1995, games just weren't that complicated.

Shows you how much I even acknowledge that walkthroughs existed back then. Forgive me, I am the kind of character that likes to be able to complete a game without someone showing me how to do it.

  3. Neither do I, but again, you're a new player, not yourself right now, you have NOTHING, other than default equipment. (Nice work missing that)

And the "By not caring I get more of what I want!" Is BS, that's not how it works, it's RNG and it's luck. Nothing we can do to influence what we get other than were we farm

And that is exactly how I started, mind you I started some time before they moved a lot of the drop tables around. Had it been any different and I not known about the new drop tables, I would have never approached it any differently. It was a new game at the time, and I was more concerned about unlocking new planets and playing new missions that were interesting to me so of course I was to come across a plethora of mods in my time (Serration and Focus were some of the few that I first came across, guess I'm just a lucky sod). Am I saying that because of my luck everyone can be lucky? No, but there are some people that take stories of bad luck to the far reaches of space, exaggerating their luck to put an edge on the emphasis behind it. Never before have I seen or heard stories of people doing 2oo-3oo missions alone and not seeing a single Forma. Are they full of bollocks? Maybe.

  4. You're a new player who has been told this info:

-All enemies have their own drop table

-Some planets have enemies others do not

-More than one mod drops per enemy

-There is no source you can look up (as your assertion states)

-Other players are no longer 100% sure

Now go find redirection, a basic mod new players need.

Oh, and we did communicate with each other, it's not like we all got an email with the drop tables in closed.

By playing the game and doing different missions, I'm sure to find redirection (or other mods of importance to me at the time) eventually. The less I bother with it, the more I come across them. Half the time I'm not sure how I end up with so many duplicates...but that's right, I don't just play defense or mobile defense all day ranking up my weapons and forma'ing them 5 times.

  5. When I grew up, there were no Wikipedias or walkthroughs to hold our hand. We used that primitive organ we were born with and (hopefully) used throughout your education: the brain. We knew that if x meant y and a meant b we could find g, all without having someone tell us how to get there or where to turn. When we finally got to the point where we were polished in the ways of the game, we would conversate to our fellow homosapiens about our experience and maybe indulge them to play with us. None of that is present today--it's sickening, really. No one wants to even try without being told what to do first...

  6. We care because DE made this game a damn farm, and the only way to deal with a farm is to tackle it as efficiently as possible,  It is no fun running a mission 100x for the part you want only to realize that what you want doesn't drop from there.  Don't give me that love of the game crap,  Gameplay is so monotonous and basic that we might as well stuffing boxes.

In U7, drops were all randomized, meaning that serration had a high chance to drop through natural progression.  Now, the drops are enemy and level specific, meaning you likely will never see a certain uncommon or rare mod unless you go out to purposefully hunt a specific enemy mob.  Yes, we do need it,

Go stuff you some boxes, then. Tell me how enjoyable that is, right? You will be coming back to complain that you can't find your Serration mod.

How are new players going to experience and thrive in Warframe if all they do is get babied and miss half the experience by only farming defence missions? You guys are a really boring lot, I'll give you that. I rememeber when I first started playing, it wasn't about asking people where I can find this; or where that drops; where this blueprint can be found; will you wipe my arse--no, it was about playing the game. I enjoyed playing with my friends, unlocking new missions and really enjoying the game. Not this piss "oh just go here, stay until wave 5, stand on one leg, sing the chicken song and sacrifice a kitten".

  7. Will you imagine for a moment how boring life would be if we knew everything? Living in the unknown is the ideal situation in video games, believe it or not. Knowing that as soon as you turn the corner, a shrieking death trap of claw and teeth wait for you is not exactly my picture of a video game. It's the unknown that give life to video games. Why destroy that just because you want to know exactly how often a resource or blueprint will drop at what chance in a certain area by a certain faction of the tenth degree divided by zero? Who cares? Play the game.

  8. You only have a 50% chance with two players and 75% with three, I'm not sure why the big problem is doing them solo. The only time (read: only) you are guaranteed entry is with a full party who all have different keys. Not every team is going to have different keys (unless you vow to never play it unless you do) and not every solo is going to have the chance, either.

At the end of the day, like Megan said: this is a co-op game guys, not a single player campaign.

  9. was it confirmed by the devs that those effects cant be disabled ? (config file somewhere?) since its a PC i'd assume there has to be a way

and i cant be the first one asking this on these forums, the internet is just full of people going as far as ridiculing the game for its overuse of "bling"

There are no hidden configuration files anywhere for Warframe. The only suggestion I can offer is to play the game on lowest settings possible and in windowed mode, to reduce the glaring effects of playing in fullscreen (less strain on the eyes with a smaller window).

  11. I doubt that the slots are their main income....doesnt make any sense....if you bought the current maximum amount necessary they would make like what...10-20USD ONCE (discount plat eh).

Their main income is obviously dangly bits (all things decorational) and people who don't actually play the game but just buy all the weapons/frames right away.

I will even go as far as saying they make more money with taters as well compared to frame and weapon slots.

Their income are new players, because everything in the market for platinum besides orokin catalysts and forma need not be bought more than once.

  12. focus doesnt affect it

and how bad can a lag be to link 5 targets?

It's not lag, it's just graphical error (though it could be lag, I'm no expert). When I play with a group of my friends as Trinity they say I look like a tentacle monster from a hentai movie from spamming Link so much (I literally have a hundred links sprouting in different directions or sometimes all in one direction. The links don't actually do any damage, because on the Trinity's screen he looks just fine (as I have experienced). Other players will notice the graphical error though. When the Trinity uses Link again, it will only link 3 targets to damage at a time.
