  1. Self dying is a constant issue for launchers to the point that a wide portion of players don't bother with them at all. Even if you have a well lined and distanced shot random occurrences might mean that the projectile explodes in your face and you go down.

Which reminded me today of CoD's noobtubes, which have an arming distance at which they won't explode, to prevent blowing up the user. That means if by any chance something gets in your LoS, be a charger, a fly or a dust spot, you won't insta die from that, while the projectile itself still deals some damage. This will allow for greater flexibility in launcher usage, imo.

The only downside would be people that hurt themselves in purpose (chroma, trins) perhaps we could use secondary trigger to switch the "safe" on and off.

  2. Relic system is infinitely superior to the old key system. You're complaining about playing with trustee's ? Back in the day you had to organnize "keyshares" with strangers and no guarantee that everyone would put their key when their turn came around.

I remember farming weeks for a single piece. With relic system even stuff like the akbolto receivers don't take me more than 6 runs or so. It's far more enjoyable and relaxed than the old system, but for whatever reason some masochists still long for that torture.

Old system also implied farming an eternity for the right keys, so no idea what you're getting at. Just venting your frustration on a very particular prime piece that refuses to drop, perhaps.

This argument makes me laugh every time I see it. "This is a looter shooter, why can't the game pick up my loot for me :sadcry:". You are effectively asking to be rid of 50% of the game's description and sorry, but you really don't understand game design.-

Finally some intelligence shed into this topic. When I want crit buff, or kuva buff, I bring the cats. The reason I avoid cats and kubs so often is mostly their AI, as you can't tell them to just avoid enemies and they often end up dragging more often than not, constantly downed trying to solo that lv50+ napalm, or chewing eidolon's ankles to death. Sure, I pick up less stuff, but that's the trade I make. People want all the QoL at once with minimal input.

Funny you mention this, since it seems to be happening lately.

    - Destroying a frame is definitely not the course of action to curtail that.-

    You seem new around here.

This was just another stage in the long story of meta-nerfing DE has. Whatever people find to be the most efficient, DE nerfs right away, then looks for the next target.

That said I'd like to add a few things: 1. Hyper damage wasn't the only thing about him: that's people's mistake, mostly. All frames have 4 skills and most of the time they have a use during our playthroughs. That rhinoers cast iron skin and play the rest of the mission like it's CoD, it's not DE's fault. 2. The damage output, even nerfed, is quite high. All it takes is a properly modded gun, a volt shield and/or rhino or adarza buff and bam, down it goes. DE had intended their eidolons to be challenging, that's why they keep trying to stop us from one-shotting them. In all other instances my chroma keeps reaping waves after waves of enemies; unless you need to take down a lv400 bombard or something, the dmg output (properly modded) should be more than enough in "normal" missions.

  5. Perhaps a "hunter" mod that increases ammo capacity. Not mutating ammo coz that was intended to be the new carrier's niche ability.

Leave it independent from pet appearance tho. That's entirely aesthetic and if you favor one size over other that's an entirely subjective thing and DE should in no way favor one over the other. The long shadow of arcane helmets haunts fashionframe to this day.

Ah, alright. Pardon for the retread then, I am fairly new and have no idea what has been covered already.

No need to apologize. Anybody with two working neurones should be able to tell you're new around, thus unfamiliar with the long story this discussion had.

The constant resurface of this topic is nothing but an indicative of what players expect. Creating an alt skin has nothing to do with creating a new frame, where they have to design and balance powers and stats for a wide range of scenarios.

If anything, as already stated, this would be comparable to making an alt/deluxe skin, and personally I have never seen anything wrong about having more aesthetic options. The way this has been denied right from the start from DE hints more at a purely political decision. After witnessing them almost fully model the Nezha deluxe skin live in zbrush or w/e program they used, I find the "economical/time/effort" point as a feeble excuse.

I have almost not experience with loki, but i used him a bit and i see him like a rush frame,-

Why even misdirect OP then? Most frames are useful in most missions, and anything can be rushed with pretty much every frame. Of course most people in public games want to get missions done as fast as possible, but loki works well in just about every game type, if you build accordingly. Since he doesn't need power Str that gives you even more room to configure. In the end this all comes to OP not having 20p for a slot, which is why I suggest him to just farm a few things and make that plat.

  8. That's like comparing hamburguers to hot dogs.

They do different things. Farm some prime junk and sell it. Last time I was on it was 10p for 5 junk pieces.

Fun is entirely subjective. Some people will say loki is boring easy, some will say mesa is boring easy. Mesa sure is harder to obtain because of the mutalad coordinates (haven't they removed those yet?) so I would keep her, but make room to get a loki or any other stealth frame because they are needed often, while most squads have plenty of dps most of the time.

I sure do use loki a lot more, he's quite versatile, whereas mesa is pure dps.

Its been so long that i no longer consider this a bug, more like a feature :P

Everything in this game is a feature, until fixed ;D

  10. In a dire situation efficiency will often have your back. It's pretty useful in both energy reduction and eximus sorties, when there's lots of energy leech eximi around. if you happen to pick a single orb you can cast something before they drain you.

Edit: efficiency will also increase your abilities duration, so depending on frame and build you mix energy max and efficiency to better suit what you want to do.

  11. These have been going for a looong time now, makes me wonder if it's been left as is just to slow down our focus farming.

Make sure you have enduring tides from vazarin (the bonus health one) which is what gives the op that huge boost.

  12. 1.00 = 100%

    2.00 = 200%

    3.00 = 300%

    0.12 = 12%

1.12 means 100% (the base damage) +12% (extra damage from VS)

It's kinda basic maths but I've had difficulties explaining people the concepts of % and decimals.

The game may round numbers. 6x 3x means you have 6 attacks that will deal 300% dmg.

Some consistency between displayed values would help alleviate these confusions. Either way, whatever people are using to 1 shot eidolon shields will be nerfed sooner than later.

-(CC, Survivability, and not useless against bosses),-

From your post I'd rather say your problem is with your builds and/or playstyle. My excal sure can take shots but he doesn't since radial blind and javelin keep enemies cc'd. Most of all the frames you mentioned have several survivability, CC and bossing options, unless you bring them with 100 health against a Kela sortie, that won't end well no matter what. Valkyr is like one of the tankiest and has her screams to slow, stun and pull enemies - perhaps also check your playstyle. Lots of people go around like it's CoD just shooting stuff and not fully using their powers. Move a lot too, you aren't supposed to sit and take shots while taking your sweet time to line the perfect shot. If something like a napalm or Nox shows up, roll out of trouble - rolling halves any damage taken.

If you only have a couple months around sortie level content might definitely pose a problem. Take your time and build up your mod library, and perhaps pick a couple syndicate weapons . their procs can give you some breathing room in tight spots.

I'm not really sure what point you're making (and you don't have to make up statistics to try and prove it). -

I'm relating what I've witnessed going on all these years. Your OP complained directly about onslaught giving focus because "many" people have farmed day and night to max everything focus-related, which I'd say is hardly the case in the grand picture. More alternatives to achieve something are something I welcome. I don't like the idea of diluting it. If I'm doing a kuva flood I want kuva, I don't expect it to drop endo or anasas to appease people that don't need kuva or are desperate to prove their gear is superior. We have a lot of endless resource sinks and I'm not eager to turn focus into another one.

Now if we are gonna talk about focus itself, that's and entire problem on it's own. Back when people were doing nice amounts of focus DE got scared and their overreaction bred the abomination we have of the combined reduced focus gain + having to pick an orb that often spawns miles away + a daily cap. Considering the massive gap of doing eidolons vs daily gain, a rework on focus gain seems pretty mandatory - there's almost no point in wasting resources into lenses right now.

Edit: they also removed respawns on non endless missions, now that I remember. Truly a sad day.

Not sure where you got that 99% of the playerbase statistic but whatever. Maybe you have a family and/or other hobbies that take priority in your life over Warframe, and that's perfectly fine. But you're missing the point some of us are trying to make here. The devs pitched this game mode as an endgame activity for veterans. -

You're missing the eternal truth that endgame is a chimera, and this has been true throughout the entirety of warframe's life. The onslaught dilemma only proves this further - no matter what they pitch at "veterans" they will never be happy - either they burn thru it just as fast, or complain just about anything else.

Of all the players that ever register, 50% leave after a short while, 20% leave after a long while, and 29% (or less) become regulars. This i'm telling from my almost 5 years farming resources around here. For all this time I've never ever felt the need to cry about endgame - most of the time i'm busy enough farming resources, credits, endo, or more recently kuva, and I play pretty often. Fluid gameplay, bug-free experience, interesting art and freedom on  how to play and tackle our objectives are things that keep me coming back to this game. Not some crazy high level missions where people eventually find the loopholes and start doing in a breeze after a day or so.

    - it's just that focus is a finite progression system. Once you max it out, that's it. You have no more use for focus. -

I might be one of the few people that have no issues with that.

People without much to do feel like the game has to give them an infinite series of tasks to stay busy 24/7/365. When you have real life and in general other stuff to do besides sitting at a game you don't care that much about that.

You can always give suggestions on what we can spend focus (considering the irrelevant amount we get in normal play, i'd rather do something else) but I don't see why that has to limit the options 99% of the playerbase has to get their focus goals.

  17. So 1% of the playerbase has been playing all day long farming focus and are already maxed?

That's great but in no way dictates that we can't have more options to gain focus.

And after 5 years people still don't understand that "endgame" is nothing but a fallacy, some set content "veterans" burn thru regardless after either asking for more, or dropping the game completely. Replay value, that's the very blood of this game.

It's really easy to say "oh this guy is offending me, so he is whining, he is attacking me, he's trying to shut me down, he's immature"... so.. who is really whining and immature?

You're the one calling other "kids" just for not joining the whine chorus. Something like that would hardly offend me, I'm just pointing facts.

I was one of the many people that supported the cost reduction, even after I paid the 5k myself. You're so lost in your frustration that you fail to read what I've posted over and over. We all agree the cost is high (even for their intended "cooperation" purpose) and will hopefully get cut somewhere in the future.

-Stop with the victimization.. grow up...

Guess who's victimizing themselves since the very first post.

That concludes yet another whine thread that lacked actual feedback and went nowhere.

Courage? So, if you care more about a video game than your friends... it's because of courage....? That's your argument?
So, what you are saying is.. "you don't have access to the Hema because your lack of courage, it has nothing to do with 15k of MS, it's YOU"... that has no sense at all...

It's not my clan, if i leave i can't get back.. i have to wait god knows...
It's not my game, It's DE's game....... so it's DE's rules.... not my rules...

"Ninjas play free" i read this as an argument so many times that i have to assume that you are a kid... i hope you don't throw knives to your parents...

    1. Caring about your friends means being there when they need you, helping each other achieve their goals, being supportive, etc etc. and I mean in situations that actually matter. Clan membership in a game is something infinitely trivial (specially considering you can reinv if they actually want to). You could have 10k less MS to farm but you choose to go 15k then whine. You said yourself you don't kick them because apparently that would make you a shallow person ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    2. Then you're screwed yourself. Personally I wouldn't go that far if I don't even have any rights around. Again, seems like this whole thing is rather irrelevant to your buddies yet you work yourself over it. And what I mean is we play the way we want (did I really need to explain that?), games are meant to be fun, punishing ourselves "because friendship" over something people don't even care doesn't seem logical.

    3. Personally attacking people that don't whine along you only shows who's lacking maturity and arguments (Look up "ad hominem" for more info). This ain't no debate since you're trying to shut down anybody who presents rational thinking, and even possible solutions to your self-imposed issue.

To answer your final question, DE is more than aware about this, just like you pointed at the very start. There were tons of feedback. Tons of threads like this. They didn't change the amount. They probably will in a couple years? Only time will tell.

    In case you missed it.
