  1. We are an active and positive storm clan that has a majority of the research done.  discord is optional, but nice.  We are part of a huge alliance. our clan has players of all levels, so whether you want to help tutor new players, or need help getting all of the parts for your first frame, there is a place for you.

leave a reply in this thread for an invite, me or an officer will invite you

  2. The switch has a touchscreen, where other consoles do not. This is a big bonus in navigating UI, which can take a while with the slow virtual cursor. It is very intuitive to simply start touching parts of the UI, and i have caught myself many times doing it. It's just a thought to make the mobile tenno spend less time in menus and more time shooting and slashing.

  3. Here is a bit of an inconvenience.

Conditions: using umbra, be a client (non-host) user.

Issue: upon switching from umbra to operator, everything works fine, he runs around and shoots stuff while I drop some energy for my squad with a dash. Upon switching back to my frame, the camera moves a bit on its own and goes back to normal.

Seems like umbra is still controlling your aim for an amount of time after you return into the frame.

I hope future choices actually have somewhat of an impact on... well, anything.  Still don't even know why it exists if there is no difference between any of the options in the end, almost not warranting those choices at all.

Really, having your morality bar affect anything. Right now it's just a cosmetic thing for your profile. Hell, if it affected a free operator cosmetic, like an aura around you based on whether it's white/black/balanced.

  5. I really like some of the ideas outlined in OP's post. I would say that the awakening agent should be a BP that drops in the void drop tables. Maybe a specific one for each frame? (current drops are generally pretty bad in most missions aside from relics) the bp should require something like 50k Kuva to build, a forma, along with some stuff that fits the frame (like oxium for zephyr).  This would make players desire to farm the void again, invest heavily in the awakening process, and go for specific frames.

  6. Let's look at each of these frames in both a solo and squad setting: banshee, Saryn 2.0, nuke trin, and Equinox.

    Solo:

Banshee: press 4, wait till wave ends.

Saryn: places molt, states at molt wile pressing 1 and holding m1.

Trin: presses 3, 4, shoot and ground, jump and detonate. Pretty much looks at the ground all of the time.

Equinox: get in the right form, press 3, press 4, run around and kill enemies toll you stack up damage and the nuke when you feel there is enough

    Squad:

    Banshee: nothing changes.

Saryn: nothing changes but the number of enemies, squad mates pretty much don't do anything

    Trin: see above

Equinox: allows/ relies on allies to do damage alongside her to activate a one time nuke.

The previously nerfed frames eliminate any interaction with enemies from yourself and your allies, while Equinox is designed require an active play style from at least 1 player.

Fetch already exists for one particular Kubrow species.

And it is pretty terrible. And the devs already know that we want vacuum on more than just the sentinels. But some are unwilling to add it in for reasons.

Fetch would probably be decent if the dog ran around and got a bunch of stuff before dropping it off instead of one at a time.

Rename it to something like "back satchel" and pick up items I'm a 3m radius just like frames. After it picks up X items, it returns and drops them to you.

Actually the melee speed buff is a huge part of it.

Volt and Valkyr are 2 of my favorite frames. They have been for years. From when I was a new Tenno to even now.

I use melee a lot. Most of it is with combos, extremely fast and extreme changes to attack speed and movement speed make combos significantly harder to execute.

I don't like the current method of opting out of Speed, yes I can execute it flawlessly, it isn't hard, but it isn't good either, it's merely the best idea anyone had at the time. I also don't like having abilities on my favorite frames that I'm just never going to activate because part of them annoy me even if other parts may be useful.

My version of the opt out setting for melee speed is this:

Convert Warframe Melee Attack Speed Buffs To Melee Damage Buffs [Yes/No]

That way I can still get something out of the buff, others still can choose the melee speed buff. I still don't get the increased status or combo per second potential, but I'm fine with that, I'm gaining a buff I can use instead of something to backflip out of.

For the movement speed aspect of Speed, I think we can keep it as a mobility power, but change what it does. While Speed is active, instead of increasing run speed, convert roll to a dash comparable to the Operator's Void Dash.

I agree with you alot on the melee attack speed thing actually. But with the upcoming changes to melee, I don't see the speed being a big issue because it seems less timing based.

For movement: your idea would be really pretty great if every player didn't already have that ability. Personally the dash has less control and interactivity than running really fast.

I think maybe like dropping a booster gate whose width increases with range. This would be a big difference from the single drop they had at one point for volt. Also making it so you can have up to 3 gates up so you can recast it to keep the buff up on yourself and won't punish people who want to use the gates.

  9. "why not tell us about Saryn changes?"

Maybe because they aren't done mocking up the changes yet.

Maybe because of knee-jerk reactions. (see: what is already happening)

Maybe because they put Pablo on this UI overhaul and that is taking his time away from Saryn.

    Maybe all of them.

Idk, i can only speculate, since I'm not Pablo. These threads aren't going to do a whole lot of good though. Talk about what you like/dislike about current Saryn, and when they talk about balancing her, make judgements then. If there is enough well-made criticism of the balances, they will take another look I'm sure.

  10. I play volt quite a decent bit, and don't get caught on geometry like this.

If control is the issue, i would suggest building a speed volt and getting used to the movement speed to learn how it works for the fastest.

Curious what changes you would like that don't remove speed or the ability to buff allies.

If we don't put the ability to buff allies on the speed ability, maybe the option to zap an ally with shock to give the speed buff. Idk I'm just spitballin' this one

  11. I play alot of volt and genuinely think people want a boost in my squad unless they say otherwise.

Obviously there are a few trolls, and i get that.

I'm a proponent of learning to use speed to prevent the frustration surrounding it, but not everyone agrees with me on that.

I've proposed a ramp up time for the speed increase of allies that doesn't change with str. But if the buff is reapplied it no longer needs to scale up.

I like the idea of increasing speed's base duration to prevent non-trolls from feeling like we need to spam.

Toggle ability is nice, so long as the energy drain doesn't increase from what we have (energy per second total for the 10 or 12 seconds we have rn)

The cool down thing is also a really good idea, and if it shows up in the Volt's UI that someone opted out of it actively, non-trolls would get a hint and avoid using speed nearby.

Lotta good ideas in this thread. Keep it going!

You do realize your point would have had more validity if you had decided to not be so presumptuous and condescending, right?

I saw the first thing I I thought someone would say about my argument and talked about that. I sincerely apologize for being a little harsh in the second part of my post. If you want to see a nice answer, read my post before my "condescending and absolutely toxic" post. The fact that this is all you have to say about it means that my point stands.

    Bye lol

If the sudden increase is what bothers you, why not suggest a speed ramp-up time and an increase to the base duration to balance out the loss of speed? Seems that this would fix the sudden change in speed problem.

Also, I don't see why getting tripped up for a few seconds because of the sudden change is so detrimental that you want to go out of your way to change whether a buff will affect you before a mission. Seems like more time wasted with the opt out system.

Players need to be able to opt out of AoE abilities casted by other players that affect movement and/or how we interact with the environment. Whether it's via a command line string or toggled options in the menus, I don't care.

Why? Because I hate when someone decides to arbitrarily determine how fast I can move, swing my melee weapon, and whether or not I can pick up items and shoot at enemies and such. You are taking control away from me, without my consent, and that's not good.

No Speed spammers...you are NOT doing me a favor. If I wanted to run extra fast and flail my melee weapon around like a hamster on crack and synthetic adrenaline, I'd have equipped my own Volt for the mission at hand.

Like I said before, if you can't aim, or move properly with the buff, maybe you should try to practice doing those things by playing volt. I can understand being disoriented for about a second after it starts, but after that it's all good.

"but why should I have to learn how to do something i want tk never affect me?"

Well Timmy tenno, to get into this game you had to learn all sorts of systems including melee and movement! Not only that, but all sorts of frame abilities and how they work with each other! Learning how to play with speed or limbo's stasis in fact is part of learning how to play the game.

As I mentioned in my previous post, the problem isn't necessarily the speed, but the unpredictability of when the boost will be applied.

Certainly this is much less of an issue in areas such as the plains, but if you're trying to navigate your way through a Corpus wreckage, or an Orokin treasure room, it is more likely to have a negative impact.

If the sudden increase is what bothers you, why not suggest a speed ramp-up time and an increase to the base duration to balance out the loss of speed? Seems that this would fix the sudden change in speed problem.

  16. So, instead of asking for the game to conform to your likings, why not pick up volt, and put some strength and duration on him and get used to the movement speed for a while? I'm sure if you go and learn how to move during speed, you'll have less salt when a volt joins you.

  17. You didn't get d*cked by the rules. If you have inconsistently been logging in, you have seen the login reward system and how it worked. DE set the rules for getting the items, you saw these rules very likely early on, and you chose to ignore the system. Having played since "X" time doesn't make you deserving of an item that you ignored the process of obtaining.
