  1. Hi. Im a veteran level 13 player, been away from WF for one year and Im now back. Im looking for a clan that dont ask for constant active play, because Im a casual player now.

If you have a place please send me a invite. IGN is Wolfstorm18.

  2. Players want to play a video game with rewarding, creative grinds.

Players want to play a video game that is fun and rewards skill.

Players want to play a video game, not a slot machine.

I agree on your point about RNG being a business model (and in fact it is), but I disagree on the point that players want what you described.

Maybe most players on these forums want such game, that is fun and rewards skill. I myself, too, want that. But these players are a minority, a tiny fraction of the huge playerbase that Warframe has at this moment. Its millions playing this game worldwide, and while here, on the foruns, we complain about RNG walls, there, on the game, they rejoice on it. I saw it myself. They want grind, they want RNG, and they play most of the time in the Void, to get g0ld3n primes to show to their friends. Go to any of the more recent tilesets, theres no one there, unless you go to interception missions, where you will find leechers looking for void keys. In the recruitment channel they only want the Void. Try to recruit to Ceres, or to Phobos, which have better tilesets and better map composition, and you will receive no answer. This has nothing to do with rewards. The true motivation lies in two things: g0ld3n colors, and complete randomness.

Why do you think slot machines are popular? Should they not be, since they are completely random? But in fact a lot of people love them. A lot of people love casinos and there are a bunch who are nostalgic for the 1970's and its tacky visuals. This people is playing Warframe right now and they want more grind, more RNG, and they pay money freely and fully when they dont get what their want, like it happens in a casino. Did you notice how the Void tileset resembles a casino or a 1970's hotel? There is even a room with seats and a big circle in the middle. That is the big blackjack. And they love it, they love it with such a passion that the devs will not listen to us. DE have a solid business model here and the rage from a tiny minority will not matter while the cash is flowing. It will be worse for them if they made those pieces available more easily, since in this way people will not pay for it out of frustration.

  3. Warframe's netcode is behaving bad since the suspicious shipments event. Now Im losing T4 keys everytime connection is lost, even when Im the host.

Before the latest updates you still could keep your key, if you lost connection and was hosting the session. But now you lose both the itens you retrieved and the key as well. In the case of T4 keys you have to grind interception missions again, the most boring mission in the game. Because of this crappy netcode I still not checked the new Vor.

This is a serious issue, much more than the RNG wall or the nerfs. Such issue didnt happened so much before, but now its very common. If they dont fix it I doubt dark sectors PvP will work with eight players at the same time. Im considering taking some time away from the game, because there's no sign they are going to fix it in the near future.

  4. Tried my first T4 today. A survival mission.

    It was unplayable.

I have good connection, was not downloading anything and was hosting the key.

It lagged so much, but so much, that it was completely unplayable.

The enemies were simply jumping around. I rage quit after 5 minutes.

And I was lagging with my own key. I was hosting it myself. It should not lag that way.

I didnt see captain Vor. And the enemies were super easy, like T1 survival enemies.

    Im disappointed with it.

  5. I agree that RNG is a big problem, but not the MAIN one.

Yes, thats true. The main problem is restricted NAT, its players being disconnected after 5 waves of defense and not be able to return anymore. Its the host being alone after wave 30 or 30 minutes of survival, even with a good connection and no lag for the other players. This is the main problem.

  6. Its like this: skill << balance >> RNG.

If you put too much on skill, it becomes deterministic like a single player linear game.

If you put too much on RNG, it becomes a kind of roguelike, even if you are using a Crytek engine for graphics.

  7. Hmm, so criticize a RNG table with 50 items diluted on it is 'hate'? Nice to known.

If we criticize I think its because we like the game, and want it to be better. If I dont liked it I wont be here at all. Theres no reason to write criticism just for the sake of it. I actually enjoy Warframe and want to see it better.

  8. Current mod system is fine. Implementation is intelligent and correct. You have to think about strategy with the mods, and this is good, this means the game isn't just about shooting stuff.

The problem is RNG. Some mods, especially corrupted ones, are very rare. So anyone asking for nerfs on Fleeting Expertise, for example, is on wrong foot. I myself only encountered two Fleeting Expertise mods, after dozens of vault runs. Not everybody is using these mods, they are not so common as Rhinos. Get real, theres no need for nerfs on mods, what we need to nerf is the RNG to let people have access to these mods. The devs needs to make separate tables for corrupted mods in the derelict vaults, one table for each mission type.

  9. I don't see the relation between doing an activity and love doing it. One can do one's job for 10 years without loving it but keep doing it because it pays well. Players grind void missions simply because there is no choice. There is nowhere else these items are dropped.

You want to compare a game, which is meant to be fun, with a job? I think this is a bad comparison.

Lack of logic is what Im seeing right now. Most players simply refrained to use Loki before, now everybody wants it because its on g0ld3n colors. I would understand that with Rhino, since 90% of players use it, but I cant with Loki. And with Rhino there was no such spamming of players asking for T1 and T4 keys. The only explanation that I can find for this is that they want the grind.

  10. I am sure it's because you can't make many of the missions that are in the higher levels easy with stealth.

More people are going to choose Rhino Prime or Trinity because it is easier and faster.

Beginning, yes. Stealth is a bit similar than full combat as they are somewhat both equally effective there.

Although I am sure people don't want to play with the beginning frame for every mission further on.

Also, why would you be showing text for people who can't read as it is? [insane-Doing something over and over and expecting different results.]

One more reason why theres no need to get Loki Prime so badly. Players can easily get the normal Loki beating the hyena pack. Thats what I did. In the end it will be the same abilities.

But the way it is now, I cant recruit anymore because its a spam for T1 and T4 keys. This didnt happened when Rhino Prime was released (and Rhino Prime is as golden as Loki Prime is). Someone can argue that this is happening because Invisibility is better than Iron Skin, but then we return to the same point before, where you can get the normal Loki instead of its prime version with less grind.

I cant see a better justification for this spamming in the recruitment channel than the fact the devs cluttered the RNG wall even more than before, and most players just like it, for some unknown reason (maybe masochism, maybe obsession with g0ld3n colors). How many are really complaining about the RNG wall? I dont see any player complaining about it while in game, only here on the foruns. But the players on the foruns are a tiny minority.

  11. He is good, but you need to have some actual skill.

Not Rhino Prime and Soma skill.

    You just proved my point.

Now for those who cant read:

But what Im more surprised of is that Loki was always seemed as a underrated frame, a frame that most players despise. Actually its meant to be used by advanced players, but for the majority (on the game, not on the forums) he is just a starter frame, a frame for 'noobs' (here used as a derogatory term).

I have one Loki and I like him, but I dont see many Lokis around in the game. I see them more on Earth or Jupiter, which is in the path of new players.

  12. Before the hype train started, there were few players in the recruitment channel. After the update now there are ten times more players, both hosting and asking for T1 and T4 missions. I cant get a single player for a derelict mission, because when I say Im hosting an mission theres comes a real spam of messages right after, about T1 and T4 keys. Yesterday there was a mission that I played with only one guy in the team. Its just annoying.

With this in mind, I dont see the reasoning behind hype players shouting they want Loki so badly in both recruitment and trading channels, but that is what is happening. I guess that what they want is the g0ld3n colors of the prime version, not Loki with its tactical abilities, but I think theres more to it, because the void tileset is full of those g0ld3n colors. Guess what? These players want repetition.

This proves one point here. Most players want the RNG wall, and they want it badly. They want to run Void missions a thousand times over, they want to run into Void chambers over and over for hours on end killing the same repetitive mobs with the same guns and same formulae. So what the devs are doing, is just what most players want. We who post on the foruns are just a minority. The majority is out there and they want the Void. Try to recruit for any 'common' mission, on a private session, and you will not get any players. For them, the 'common' missions are common because they dont have the g0ld3n colors, even knowing that Earth, Phobos and Ceres have better textures than the Void tileset.

Im noticing it on the game. Here on the forum people are complaining, but there, the players just want it badly.

  13. After looking at the drop table with 50+ itens, Im not interested in getting new prime itens anymore. I had some plans before to get Bo prime, not anymore. I will stick to the old Bo, and maybe put the next catalyst on it.

After discovering that T4 keys only drop on interception missions (most boring mission in the game), and that it uses the same old bland void tileset, Im not interested in T4 anymore. I dont care for the difficult of the enemies. If I want difficult, I can go solo on a Ceres survival mission, and try to stay there for more than 15 minutes. Solo because theres no players there, so its better to be able to pause than to wait for some reinforcement that will never come.

And that's all. Maybe I will move to another game if I get bored of playing solo.

  14. Thanks to the hype train nobody want to do derelict missions anymore, its only g0ld3n b4ckgr0und repeat 1000x lol. Not even that! What to say of regular missions.

Phobos and Ceres are deserted!!! Theres no players there. Its better to go solo, because in that way you can at least pause the game and reach some better score in survival. Maybe this is the reason why the devs implemented those specters.

Its not the RNG which is destroying this game, its the hype players themselves. You DONT want the newest coolest prime item.
