The synergies feel like an afterthought because they literally were and afterthought. They weren’t put on Revenant until a week after his release. His abilities were clearly never designed with synergies in mind.

Also, synergies have a place in abilities. It gives the frame more function. It’s just when the synergies are the only way for the ability to be useful is when it becomes a problem.

Nyx can wait. She actually has a consistent theme. Revenant is 3/4 vampire despite looking like an Eidolon and none of his lore having anything to do with any kind of vampires. That needs to be fixed.

You are so biased Gears xD like a politician just nearly elected with one single goal:)

Take a step back and you might see he isn*t in such a bad spot as you paint him in.

It's only 1 stack. Very niche. You can use it to protect team mates from Profit Taker or Exploiter Orb explosions. Otherwise? Not very useful.

His 3 is more notable for dealing scaling damage (drains 100% of target's max health at 250% ability strength!). The heal is nice for when environmental damage bypasses Mesmer Skin though!

The mobility aspect is bad. Reave is a bad/expensive mobility skill. IMO, you should never use it for mobility.

That's exactly a good use of 1 in a team setting. You can strategically negate dangerous attacks on bosses (noting that bosses have a special resistance to Enthrall... significantly reduced duration). You can also use it to pacify annoying enemies like Nox while everyone guns the annoying enemies down unharmed.

He has a very limited place in co-op. His mostly meaningless health/shields and resistance to death means that he can reliably resurrect allies in Arbitrations. Revenant is good for Arbitrations! His Enthrall can be used when allies start dying a lot (e.g. happens a lot in T4 Void... like Mot where everything does 3x damage!). Enthralled enemies draw aggro and consequently reduces damage taken by allies. His 3 can prevent well-telegraphed 1 shots by giving allies 1 Mesmer Skin stack (all I can think of is Profit Taker/Exploiter self-destruct explosion)... Very niche.

Thralls being immune/resistant to allies is a bad idea IMO. They do not deal very much damage and are otherwise not useful aside of drawing aggro. But they are useful for effectively disabling an enemy for you/allies to gun down. But most of Warframe is too easy for this to be valuable (like most CC effects!). If your allies can kill your Thralls so easily, that should tell you that you're wasting your time using Enthrall (or any CC ability for that matter)... just kill the enemies around you! If Warframe had a bunch of Gokstadt Officers running around all the time, CC effects like Enthrall would be more useful!

you might find it a niche.. but it does share.

So it is an excellent counter argument.

if you still find him bad in co-op, that’s fair since it is your opinion.

But I still think people underestimate his usefulness... not all frames needs to be Wisp or the like.

  3. Recently I like how DE has released interesting frames, with new movesets, mechanics and dodges.

And even though Wisp is very strong, near OP, with her buff, I think it also showed the length DE will go, to give us a fun gameplay with great viability.

Therefor I hope that this means than in the future we can se other warframes getting a little touch.

Chromas Spectral Scream is a typical first ability, can have some nitche use (Wisp breaks this, and propably more frames).

the interesting part could be that this activate the “Dragon”, so you are not locked like with Atlas petrify, and can still use weapons on the like. But when your “Pelt” is put, it originate from the “Pelt” and not you.

Not much to say to the next abilities, maybe Vex Armour is a bit boring, but both are strong and last for a good amount of time, well Maybe recast Elemental ward, and when casting Elemental Ward and Vex Armour, it buff people around you, but also people around your Pelt.

Did consider giving some substain, but not every frame needs this one. I just would like the buffs to last even when out of range of Chroma (without argument).

One could play with the idea that it is a toggle: Activating Elemental Wards grants you its effect, and last until toggle off, while you got it activated you cannot regain energy from auras, also decrease movement speed with X%. Then let it work like Wisp buff, people can regroup on Chroma to get it again.

Vex Armour, could also have it instead, but since it is recastable, it can stay.

Chromas Effigy could work like a spectral ally, you can command it to stay on point, for defence, follow a target or just follow you.

You will move faster without it (countering the penalty for Elemental Ward), and lose a bit of armour), it got no health but can be deactivated by nullifiers and the like.

It no longer drains energy while active, but can be toggle on and off, so it is more a choice, faster and nimble, or slow but tanky.

when it gains rank it boost the innate armour and health while wearing it or the movement speed and reload speed while not wearing it (might change toxic elemental ward then, or well have this stack for a super fast reload chroma).

So for a fast Chroma, one could use Effigy and let it stay in base (or let is follow you), or keep it on and substain more hits.

It stills fly around and CC as well as breath fire at enemies, activating Spectral scream, makes a scream, stunning nearby enemies and improve the damage of Effigies flames by X% amount and grant it the benefit of the status depending on your choice of colour.

Also his Passive is not a colour, but you active chose which of the four elements you want to “equip”, leaving the fashionframe free. Also makes him resistance to the element he picked (cannot get toxic status, frost status, etc... but can still get directly dmg just with a small % of reduction in dmg).

This was just some thoughts after playing with Wisp, Hildyn and so on.

And maybe more inspiration, for I would like to hear the communities suggestion, since there are probably some hardcore Chroma fans that can do a better job, or maybe can explain why Chroma is fine as he is. (Potato?)

  4. I just did get a Switch yesterday, well because I thought why not.

Then I realized that I maybe wanted to start playing Warframe again... but no mitagration is a no go for me. Already started from scratch when I went from PS4 to PC, not inclined to do it again.. unless I wanted to make a totally free acc. :)

But that would that would mean no primes, no rivens and so on :)

  5. I would like effigy being a toggle ability.

toggle on and you throw your skin! Using your one will also activate it on the effigy and using elemental ward will affect people around you and/or the effigy.

toggle off and you will get your effigy back, including more armor but less speed.

so it becomes more of a “battle stand”, fast and agile, but squishy.

or Tough and bulky, but slow.

I feel like you took offense somewhere in there, but... Frost already has an augment to Avalanche that adds a shield, and Trinity is a DEDICATED healer, not a more multi-purpose frame like Nidus or Oberon.

Took no personal offence just think that this was.. well nonsense xD Frist got an argument but this is not overshield ir healing.

Nidus is a tank no a multi-tool imo.

You are allowed to your own opinion, but in my opinion you are see it from the weong perspective.

And for the other replies, I might not be the only one thinking that.

Think a reread to the abilities and frame might help you get an understanding of what role they would fill.

  7. What a long wall of nonsense.

Oberon is in a good spot without being grossly OP or inactive in gameplay, and still fun.

And you are comparing oranges and pickles here. And ofc forgetting Nidus passives for ranking up, high health, infinite scaling, insane CC etc.

infact one could argue that Frost cannot heal other people like Nidus, maybe frosts avelanch or globe should give a healing over time and a overshield?

And then there is trinity! She got two heals! And one is full health for all squard members within range!

So well calm ya horse and just enjoy the game. You are not the healer as nidus, no more than inaros (who got two healing abilities), and still less selfish than harrow.

I'm not the OP and I don't have any major phobias that I'm aware of so I'm not best person to explain but from dealing with other people with phobias a lot of time it's popping up unexpectedly that triggers a reaction. One of my mates is phobic of zombies, they are ok if they know they are going to appear but can have panic attacks if they didn't.

Yeah I just do not think I am able to see in theough their perspective :)

  9. I never thought people would actuallt find this scary.

But if one find that scary I cannot see them completing the harrow quest anyway, so isn’t that a solution in itself?

I most agree that this is such small thing, srry for those who disagree, that I hope they do not make it, I wouldn’t even call it QoL.

But should they find the time to make this, after bugs, content and imo real QoL stuff, well fine, it wouldn’t affect my game anyway.

  10. I personally thought that this should be in the game aswell.

then I actually changed to a kavat instead of Carrier or Helios... and it actually don’t bother me.. kinda refreshing in a way?

it now feels more interactive in a crazy kinda wayto have to seek the stuff you want.

I do not get everything, but I do not think it is a big lose anyway.

even with my low MR I still don’t need much, if I wanted to build stuff, I could have. I just often dwell in certain things for a long time before I move on (and second acc, so had MR can still be decieving)

  11. What about event items and exclusives like Primed chamber???

I do not think riven is the problem, it is supply and demand aswell as people getting greedy :)

and no one is forcing you to spend 5k play either. And with no buyers it would devaluate them:)

A lot of people still say Oberon is bad, but his inclusion in the Tricap meta seems to have bought him some street cred.  IMO Oberon has been good for a long time.

Saryn is a good case study in how popular opinion is typically way behind and totally uninformed in this game.  Her Miasma bug went largely unnoticed for years before exploding in popularity, and the reaction to her "nerf" brought out the worst in peoples' attitudes while revealing their true objectives.

    Obi is awesome!

    love his team-utility :)

how about you stop treating me like a moron? i know there are bonuses but when people think element people think status chance, having high crit and next to zero status seems like a poor choice, stop white knighting for DE's decision on a thing I PERSONALLY think is wrong, i am allowed my opinion and mine says that if something can switch elements it should atleast be able to achieve a 50% status chance ffs

    And so is he.

also offend is taken not given :)

the weapon is still interesting and I reserve my judgement til it goes live.

ohh sidenote: we do not have any passive on them.

and though it got a unique mechanic, it might be given a passive... say 100% status proc with given element.
