Any well modded weapon can easily one shot most enemies (Noxes are preaty much the only exception) without the need of extra finisher damage up till hour+ endless missions.
It's just not necessary, period, unless you are one of the players that specifically goes to ''Void Mot'' to try and set the next world record or something- even then, there are better options.
yes, no i totally get you, i mean, mesa is even easier to use than ash, and does abit more. But i pretty much finished the star chart, so im just at the point where i want to understand and get good with each warframe, because thats the only content i got left before they bring out fortuna patch.
btw, im leaving nidus last on my last, because his kit looks complicate asf. -

One thing to add. I actually kind of 'worked into' ash by making a teleporting melee build (using a pretty straightforward Quick Thinking/Hunter's Adrenaline/Handspring build with a fast Healing Return weapon ...I think I was using a Tipedo back then)
It worked great to ease me in, I was primarily using his 4 and 3 just to move from group to group and face-murder them as I got used to him, and it became pretty natural to start adding in smokescreen if I wanted to switch to a ranged weapon...at which point it all kind of came together for me and I started really using his while kit and playing with builds
Never really did the shuriken-armorstrip thing though. I don't think armor's a problem with fast melee builds, so someone else can speak to that
Good luck Tenno! He's a fun frame.
What was your full build for this?

how do i correctly combo his 4th ability?
Do i active it, then teleport to a target (with augment for automatic finisher) then deactivate 4th ability, then teleport again to a mark target to begin killing frenzy?
Im trying to flow this in a correct manner, so its not too wonky for me.
I dont want to owl on a spot, pick my target with 4, deactive it, then when i see clones, then teleport in. This will be super slow process. Looking to apply some skill so i can be a good ash player. -

And this^
Teleport (third ability) only automatically initiates the kill if you have it's augment mod on
Oh so i need a augment for this, good gosh and here i thought everyone was using some macro technique, thank you for this.
24 minutes ago, AlphaPHENIX said:You need to use his teleport on a marked target for Ash to join the shadow clones in the assault.
Do i also need the augment to apply Finishers automatically when teleporting to mark targets?

Hi Tenno's
I got my self ash prime, yes bought with plat 160.
So from the youtube videos, i see him running high level enemies. and he was in this constant state of 1 shotting animation, which makes you invulnerable.
I also seen on other videos where he dashes between enemies with his 4th ability, going on a kill frenzy.
In a hydrod mission on sedna, i properly died so many times and everyone thought im noob and playing with two left feet.
Press 3 to teleport, but it only staggered the enemy, i didnt know i had to push the melee attack.
Sometimes i 3 to tagert and quick Melee but its not a fishiner, its just normal attack?
Also i activate 4, and i dont see me dashing between targets, or see clones of myself.
I learnt that you have to 4 scan with your mouse on enemies, then de-active 4, for the clones to start attacking, then when i 3 again, im just staggering 1 guy, not dashing about.
so can someone explain what im doing wrong pls? i dont know how to combo, this feels so wonky compared to other frames.
Im using Broken war sword with riven, got fury and beserker. -
same here, going 15 rounds on sedna defense mission, cant go further than 15 rounds cause i have no damage reduction on my super fragile frame, so im just a chilling on the floor constantly, while team mates are getting down trying to revive me.
-
Mesa Bug.
Can only use shattering shield once, then after that i cannot recast the ability as it states its already in use, however im dying there is no 95% damage reduction to bullets on my frame at all.
You can only cast it once per instance of the mission, for the rest of the defense run, 15 rounds, i will not have shattering shield, nor can i cast it again. -
Thanks for the education guys.
This correct all the misunderstanding i picked up.
I just reach lvl 15 where im using my first riven on Broken War +Range +Electricity only 2 stats, which i added blood rush, maiming strike, primed reach, primed pressure point, fury, beserker, primed fever strike
So got good reach
Fast
good damage
Good Crit
This weapon does constant slide attacks so fast that my screen blur's like im doing nitro in need for speed. (Yes i macro'd my mouse, because i have a baby in the other hand, Power to new dads, while still jaming games okay..)
So this is why i wanna understand rivens better so i can start working towards better rivens with more stats on them. -

Nearly all of your points are wrong. Where did you find this information?
from youtube videos, its horrible trying to find out things on this game, every streamer blabs on, nothing is structured in a way for a new player to understand how to riven.

3) No. Rivens are per weapon. The disposition of the weapon you unlocked it on is irrelevant.
so what are weapon riven disposition use for then?
-
Hi Tenno's
Sorry im finding it difficult to find a thread that actually speaks to understanding the whole riven concept as a whole.
This is what i understand so far and dont understand.
1) You can acquire a Veiled Riven and unlock a riven at any rank, but can only use from MR 15
2) Your weapon has a riven disposition of x/5, so using one of 5/5 you will unlock a riven with 5 stats on it? (Positives with negatives)
unlocking using a weapon with 3/5 will unlock a riven with 3 stats.
3) Can you use a riven thats 5/5 on a weapon that has a disposition of 2/5?
4) Veiled Rivens will unlock for a random Specific weapon within the category of the weapon you used, example Using the Hate Scythe will unlock it for a Random Scythe weapon like Reaper.
5) Using Kuva (red chilli resource) you can re-roll your riven to have different stats only.
6) Does the cost to re-roll the riven become more with each re-roll?
7) Can you only acquire riven's from daily sortie, alerts, and chat trade?
8 ) what is a trash riven? what is a normal riven? what is god riven?
9) how much plat does Veiled go for? how much for trash? how much for normal? how much for God riven?
10) Does every weapon have a riven? or are their some weapons that dont get rivens?
11) Does exalted weapons benefit from riven stats on the respective weapon?
any more advice you can provide for all of us on rivens. -

Yeah ive done the War Within, i have everything neccessary, just dont know what to do.
Very nice down low by the way, i like it.
@(PS4)brettles1983 i watch youtube vids and still kinda got confused. i had to figure it out by simple stay in archwing form and watch people what they did and not participate in the hunt just spectate.
when you que for eidolon hunting here are the steps:
1) Find lures (just 1 or 2 if you want) dont need more unless you doing those Tri dolon hunts.
2) Fill the lures up by hunting for little whisps that roam around water, when you kill them they get sucked up by the lures.
3) When you find the Eidolon, in operator form, shoot the green bubble, then his head to remove his shields, and every now and then check the square parts of his limbs if they have the orange health bar, if it has the health bar then you can Snipe the limb with your warframe. Rinse repeat.
Eidolon Pattern:
You can dodge most of his attacks by going into void mode, Jump over his foot stomp as that pushes you away.
Stage 1: you destroyed 1 limb
He will now scream, unless you are in void mode, or far away, it will kill you or drain all your energy of your frame.
Stage 2: another scream
Stage 3: another scream
Stage 4: another scream
Stage 5: it lies on the ground and calls for whisps to come heal him, after that, take out its head.
Lures help so he dont get limbs back or teleports across the map away from you -

Yes, I am also 19 rank... and honestly I do not plan to raise it higher. I just can’t and want't to develop weapons and frames that I’m not interested in and that I’ll just sell or put on the shelf. A waste of time, in my humble opinion.
and im feeling that already, the only warframe i have left to experience is Mesa, after that i think ill stop abit until there is something new.

The warframes arent actually fighting a specific war, they do what is needed to keep the balance in the solar system by fighting aswell as helping the Grineer and Corpus as needed. We are more mercs than anything else. And even if it was an all out war you wouldnt waste your resources.
Why send four warframes when one can do the job? Why send an army of frames when four can do the job?
And regarding "who brings only 3 friends to a war". Well alot of armies only send a few people off for specific tasks. Heck, play through the Brothers In Arms series, those games are based on actual WW2 missions and your squad isnt much bigger than a full WF group here. You have around 5 soldiers in your squad along with a tank at times, sometimes fighting off forces far greater than yours.
You are confusing war with large scale battles. Large scale battles are part of wars, but wars arent exclusivly made up of large scale battles.
Well yes in the future the concept of war properly changes, and is more private than big, or more covert and dark and sneaky, and hacky.
Code Geass - small sabotage missions that lead up to a history defining conflict. Because they are a small rebel group, they relied on small missions while being hunted down by a big empire and slowly building up a big force to turn the tides of battle.
Metal Gear solid - one man relies on stealth and information gathering to unveil the plot and strike at the heart. Strong defining characters to make you feel the need why you doing this.
Brothers in arms - an epic war is happening, and your squad needs to make all the contribution in can, your success or sacrifice will help your side win an inch and every inch counts.
Their is a difference between feeling the reward, and just farming rewards. Contributing to a side and seeing the influence of a win. So do you feel like you are in a war in warframe? @SneakyErvin
" keep the balance in the solar system by fighting aswell as helping the Grineer and Corpus as needed. " I think this also kills the feeling, i mean "HI there i killed all your friends last week, and this week im helping you kill all the other friends of your corpus enemy until the week after?" I get it we mercs for Hire but also fighting for??? dont know yet. -
there is allot in the game that DE can work with if someone is ambitious enough.
Story mission like on cetus - The grineer fleet is on its way to earth, we have to thin them out before it gets to earth.
We have manage to thin them out, but not enough, you have to join the defending ostrons on the frontline.
Lead the charge tenno, and keep as many ostrons alive as you can, we cannot loose more that 50% ---- (200/200 ostrons remaining).
A) The battle was a success, surround the enemy to prevent them from escaping.
A)1) Its time for the final boss battle tenno.
B) The battle was a loss tenno, venture alone into enemy Territory assassinated the enemy general and avenge our fallen comrades.
and then just add a whole bucket of drama, sprinkle some more drama on that, bring me tears. -

In the last time I feel only farm:)
The quests are finished, the story is now in limbo - there are more questions than answers, the enemies have become boring and are not taken seriously.
In the first months of my game - yes, the feeling of war was quite strong.I hope this feeling will come back with new updates - the DE dramaturgy of the story is at its best.
Im not even max MR, just a lil mr 14, and the vibes are soo dying fast. Im just grinding in preparation for what will hopefully be something new and exciting.

War simply means a conflict between two nations or factions, numbers really arent important. Just as you have gang wars IRL, they arent on a massive scale, it is mostly about street shankings/shooting in a sporadic manner.
The thing we see with the tenno and the warframes are similar to real world situations where military forces send in small fire teams to take out or paint enemy threats of a much larger scale. This has been a thing since WW2, like the small brittish/norwegian guerilla squads that hunted for the nazi nuclear program in norway. Or the lone german snipers camping out in villages waiting for the allies to enter, the russians had the same idea.
Going by old ideas of what a war is we should all form up in lines and wait to get blown up, shot or stabbed to death by a beyonette.
Okay so we are a gang of over powered kid versions of Expendables waging guerilla warfare against underground organ dealing Mafia Corpus and ruthless ex military archaeologist / china clan Grinner
While a promethus alien invasion is going on in the background.
Would love to feel all this drama though -
You got ninjas
You got protos (Corpus)
You got Terrans (Grineer)
You got Zergs (Infested)
ITS TIMMME FOR A DEATHH BATTLE!! BEGIN -

That's for the Mars open roam. Just masses and grineer and corpus just screaming into the meat grinder of the front lines in the middle of the map. Dropship constantly getting shot down, walkers storming no-mans land getting hit hard by heavy turret bunkers. And there you are and your three friends in the middle of it trying to escort one of the general's porn drones savely to extraction.
omg haha, im so over escorting R2D2 back to his mom, because he felt abit adventurous.

Wish there was more drama when you pick a side, and its like "If we dont win this, then who is gonna have christmass with my kid?"

I read at one point that the developers were coding in their own version of ray tracing into the new patch, to deal with fake lighting.
Im just curious if it was implemented or not.
Dont ask where i read it, i cant remember.
