  1. Let it stay as it is.

Lack of minimum adequacy demands proper punishment. And since it isn't solo specific, players need to properly interact with other players.

If you're having problems with your builds then ask for advises instead of asking to distort one of the major points of those Archon Hunts into a handicapped version of it.

I play on linux via Proton-GE.

IS THAT considered third party? It's not windows. It could have 'bad stuff' baked into the codebase. How do I know I won't get banned?

I don't think that a different OS falls into "third party" category, otherwise any WinOS would fall into the same category, considering the amount of hazardous crap the last 4 WinOS have running allegedly "under the hood"...

The only thing that may happen differently is that DE won't even consider bug reports from the Linux playerbase unless the bugs match exactly to the ones happening in a WinOS... Funny thing though, I've had a lot less bugs happening just by switching to Debian so~ I don't know... Maybe something else is causing unexpected bugs... 🤔

... Either way, I don't think people are going to be banned just because they're playing Warframe through Wine (or, to facilitate the understanding of some users, the chef flavored profile creator called "Proton")... Especially when the Linux playerbase has been slowly but steadily growing, most of those being platinum buyers with actual cash...

Glad its working... However, I don't think DE could delete your settings remotely.

The only company that openly does that is, well... Microsoft... And Valve, when they decide to "terminate" their support of a game through Steam.

Lets hope it stays working. 👍

Correct.  It's like I kicked the power out of the wall, but I didn't do that, because I can power it back on without getting under my desk.

... wow... I know some components are prepared to work under high temperatures, but FETs aren't included in that package...

... Not to mention that electrical currents travel faster under high temperatures, and electrical components negatively alter their electrical resistance and electrical interference shielding when subjected to a high temperature environment, making them generate more heat & be increasingly more vulnerable to multiple environmental interferences, including power fluctuations from the power grid your PC is connected to...

... But I digress... Maybe because I'm awake for more than 35 hours straight...

Anyway, even though I can't rule out hardware issues (because I feel that's what it seems to be), I'm a lot more inclined to believe that its Win11's fault rather than Warframe for one simple reason... You are, technically, the very first person reporting an issue with Warframe that causes a PC to shut down as if someone pulled the plug... And since Win11 is saving logs of, apparently, the moment your PC shuts down, I'm also inclined to believe that Win11 is the one shutting your PC down due to those two errors...

    Spoiler

... Yes, its possible for an OS to shut down the computer like that if the shutdown timer is set to 0 seconds... That's something I learned back in the 1990s...

Normally, the error code present in those logs is hexadecimal... The trend hasn't changed when Win10 was released so I have to ask, since I've never seen an error log from Win11... Is the error code in those logs hexadecimal?

    Edit:

    ... Ok, I made a quick search on those codes - 6008 and 41...

    Spoiler

Event ID 6008 should be followed by Event ID 41... Respectively, its an "Unexpected shutdown" followed by a "system rebooted without cleanly shutting down first"...

... The "Unexpected Shutdown" is caused by either a hardware failure (note, "hardware" is not restricted to CPU, GPU and storage devices) or an OS security issue, according to what I've read, like, 2 minutes ago...

The other one is basically Win11 complaining that your PC can't shut down like that due to the OS general incompetence with local data management, which may cause data loss due to that same data management incompetence... An incompetence level that has consecutively been degrading since Win98...

Again, I can't rule out hardware failure, but I'm very inclined to believe its Win11's fault. Especially if Win11 doesn't have one of the functions in one of its Kernel libraries that Warframe may require, in which Win11 considers it as a *cough* security exploit *cough*, shutting down your computer to "deny access to potential intruders"...

... But I digress... Might be because I'm awake for more than 35 hours straight...

What setting do you recommend? I set it to High Performance in game, and just now tried "Let Windows Decide" and it crashed again.

That's what I was going to recommend, but you did it already...

Your computed completely shuts off, as if you had pulled the plug?

    Sure can!

Did you try changing the GPU Preference option in the Launcher?

There have been problems regarding that and Win10/11 inability to accept that applications can (and should) be independent from its quirks.

Windows notices something is up because I get codes 41 and 6008 in the System log, but no warnings or errors around them to explain WHY the system is shutting down unexpectedly.

... This may sound weird, but satisfy my curiosity... This may also be something a DE staff member might ask, but I find images more efficient...

... Can you show a screenshot of your Warframe Launcher options?

  8. ... Its so amusing when an OS is actively conflicting with a product developed for it when said product has a graphical enhancement option selected that, I suppose that's what it does, improves performance by sending relevant data directly to the respective hardware (instead of using the OS backbone as a "middle man" for it... I should feel sorry for it, Microsoft, but I'm not. Your OS shouldn't interfere with hardware and applications or be the "middle man" of anything like ever...) and therefore does not allow the OS to fiddle with it on a whim...

    Spoiler

... Win10/11 is probably that wannabe wife that doesn't get anyone during their lifetime other than cats because they willingly subject themselves to it in exchange for a roof, food & water...

WhimsicalRespectfulCheetah-size_restrict ... I'm so glad I don't have to deal with any of that stuff...

I can only blame the OS at this point... There's no reason why I'm not having these problems on Debian and you guys are having it on at least Win10...

I'm running Warframe on Debian so this is not an issue I'm having...

But to point out something that should be obvious even for someone that doesn't understand a thing about computers... Just because one component is "designed" to function normally at 95 C temperature, ensuring that it stops working properly a couple of days after its specific warranty ends, the rest of the components of the system are not designed to work at such high temperatures... Its basically the same as turning a computer into an oven...

... I'll let that sink in, for any potential reader...
