I found it funny that the 2nd phase was pretty easy as long as you didn't use lock-on, which would screw you over because that RE4 thing would cover up the whole screen and the camera would refuse to do anything else than look up if you were close to it. hehehe

actual in-game looks better than the screenshot, steam and photobucket kinda grimed it up. ={
also, as per tradition I started out as a Deprived and instantly regretted it at the first boss
not sure if it's supposed to happen, but the attack patterns that boss had started blending into each other the longer I tried
like it started mixing up everything it had on the first phase.Worst one was when he did that jump attack, as soon as he landed he tried to grab me, I rolled to the side avoiding the grab, instantly got knocked down by a his back elbow and he used another grab while I was on the ground... picked me up and threw me off the ledge.
runs really well for me and haven't had any problems or bugs yet.

It feels like DkS1, which is just 10/10.Thank god for that, in my opinion Dark Souls was the pinnacle in the whole series (yes counting Bloodborne and Demon's souls too)
I have yet had the time to go get my package and this just hyped me up even more.

Dark Souls II has a pretty low system requirement for what it is actually, even the first Dark Souls needs more power than the 2nd game on PC.
4GB System ram isn't actually that much now days, keep in mind that the game isn't exclusively using all the RAM for itself, you got a ton of other crap running the in the background leeching at the RAM pool.
I'm gonna be getting my copy from the post office today (huge box) so I'll update to see if it really is just random crashes happening, though I'd be surprised since Dark Souls II ran like butter in the sun when it came out on PC.

Staticor is the most fun weapon in a long while. (keep in mind cool doesn't factor in to that since we've had a ton of those lately)
Doing a high jump and aim gliding over the battle field is crazy fun.
I've already put 5 forma on that thing and it absolutely destroys level 100+ enemies by it's shier spam.

That's the point. If there is a major bug that could break a lot of things they would most likely push it to next week, there won't be anyone at the office to hot-fix a major issue the 5th or 6th, so it's best to just leave the game in a playable state all weekend. :)

But DOOM 2016 is pretty much playable without playing the other games, story isn't a very important in the series.
I'd say to go with DOOM64 instead of DOOM 3 (I like DOOM 3 btw). It's the sequal to DOOM II and damn if it isn't a fine game.
there is a PC port called DOOM64 EX, so no need to hunt down a N64 to play the game.

Haha, yeah that scared me too.
My reaction was more on the way of "are you serious? this is like the 3rd room!!!"
the thing is, all the other games do it too, but it's sort of scripted or and optional
... not here though, you kill it or give up because you are not going anywhere lol.
(btw, did you notice Grave Lord Nitos coffin? the area is full of easter eggs!)
of course it killed me because of that swipe at the start hehe.
In hindsight, this is a really great end of tutorial since it prepares you for normal enemies that pull the same combo crap as that thing.
