  1. DE cannot lay claim to the name Gauss. If somebody could, GamesWorkshop would have done it decades ago. Gauss Rifle, Gauss Cannon, etc.

You are arguing against a man's name. We don't call Einstein 'In-ste-in' or Newton as 'Ne-wo-tong'.

DE makes mistakes, it is okay to admit that. What isn't okay is dancing around the mistake and saying they're right and everyone else is wrong. Defending DE in this case is just . . . embarassing for you and for them. They don't need to correct the trailer as it is what it is, but they should pronounce it properly from here on in.

  2. Gauss was a physicist and is credited with creating the Gauss principle. It isn't 'Goss' or 'Gas'. Gauss is not a made up name.

As an example, has anyone heard of 'Miranda' rights? Where the cops 'Mirandize' someone? Miranda was a man's name (yeah). It wasn't 'Mer-un-deh' or 'Mi-run-doh' it is 'Mi-ran-da'.

You don't get to dictate how you pronounce someone's name, especially someone such as Friedrich. It's ridiculous and those that defend it are equally so. Imagine a world where you take names and twist them because you can't be bothered to learn how to properly enunciate. If you wanted to call Gauss 'Goss' then you should have thought about spelling it differently.

What's more is that the Gauss warframe is loosely based on Gauss' principles of acceleration. Very loosely, but even so. Gauss. Not 'Gauze' or 'Goss'. I will correct those that mispronounce Gauss and direct them to look up Friedrich.

  3. I honestly don't know where to put this thread, but general feedback seems best.

    I hate Nightwave.

Before anyone inevitably cries foul or defends Nightwave, DE or calls me ungrateful, because there will always be those people and particularly in the PC community, let me explain:

Nightwave has caused me to actually loathe playing the game. At first I enjoyed going around and completing tasks as it was unique and new, however the novelty wore off rather quickly. Nightwave turned into an almost forced obligation to earn some rather cool looking stuff. It had awful tasks such as spending Forma and Gilding a weapon.

Every week there was something new, and sometimes something that I was actually forced to sacrifice my Rivens to the transmutation gods to complete sorties. I am currently sitting on 95 rivens and unable to actually trade a single riven, I must trade 5. I know not why this is, but I digress. Needless to say, those of us that are over capacity were forced to delete or trade away our Rivens to complete Nightwave missions.

Once the first Nightwave was completed I hoped it would stay gone for a number of months, to give myself a break from Warframe. I've been playing nearly everyday for two years so this feeling was awkward. While this is perhaps bizarre it is how I felt at the time.

Much to my chagrin, Nightwave was followed up with a rather broken Plague Star event (delivery drones) and I felt obligated to play it. Increasing my frustration in being unable to complete Plague Star runs due to poor AI pathing.

Then soon after Nightwave intermission showed up, layered with it the Glaxion Vandal/Spectra Vandal event. Bringing with it the same Nightwave missions, such as complete Sorties, spend Forma and Gild weapons.

Now this second round of Nightwave is conflicted with the Dog Days event. It all feels like work to be honest. On one hand I feel like I want to collect everything Dog Days has to offer and on the other I still need to complete the majority of the Nightwave missions.

I do not speak for anyone but myself, but I have a limited amount of time to play. I don't want to feel obligated to complete Nightwave on Warframe's schedule. I feel forced to play every week to Nightwave's tune and not what I actually want to play.

To put into perspective on how much I am put off by Warframe right now, I received (miraculously I might add) a resource booster 3 days in a row. I cannot stomach playing Warframe to farm Kuva (another issue entirely) or gather resources to utilize the booster.

I found myself running around on the Plains of Eidolon hunting down a Tusk Thumper and do you know what I felt? I felt the sudden urge to turn off the system and do chores around my house because I was so bored.

Nightwave and the ensuing string of events has put myself and my friends (albeit a small group) off of actively playing the game. I used to spend as much as six hours playing on my days off to now just logging in, spending maybe 40 minutes deliberating what is going to happen next in the book I'm reading, which is very good.

My experiences are personal. I don't feel like DE should stop whatever their doing just to appease the likes of me, but I felt the urge to put my thoughts down on digital paper. I think that what they (you) are trying to do is really great.

An influx of things to do, events to run and new weapons and enemies? What's not to love? Evidently for me, it is the simple fact that Nightwave feels forced and it just isn't for me.

I understand there is a full week to do the missions, yes. I also understand I shouldn't feel obligated to do them, but as I am the type of player to actually buy Primed Ammo mutation mods to simply have them in my collection I do. Perhaps a personal flaw.

Nightwave looms overhead, not as a fun thing to do, but as a dwindling timer that reminds me what I *must* do. I also mentioned earlier that I do have limited time, and so to me an hour or less everyday doesn't really get the Nightwave job done.

There are daily missions and those require attention as well. Sometimes they are quick (The Gliph ones are a particular favorite of mine. Hey, I'm lazy) but sometimes they can go slow (kill x amount of enemies with cold etc). Not to say that killing enemies is difficult, but it can become tedious in my opinion.

I don't know. Maybe I'm just getting old, maybe I don't know what I'm talking about (hey, maybe the most upvoted respons will say that I'm just getting old). My concern is really more for Warframe moving forward. I hope that Nightwave eventually goes away, sorry and no offense to those that enjoy it; or better yet put all those rewards in Baro's rotation.

Whether or not this all makes sense or not, I hope what can be gleaned from this is that Warframe now feels like a second job to me. I am sure I might be in the minority feeling this way but there it is. I just don't enjoy giving Warframe as much time as I used to, as the fun factor seems to be sucked out of it by Nora's cherry red lips.

Whatever you take away from this critique is up to you. Call it whatever you will, I hope some can understand this perspective.

Warframe is a great game, but if that game ceases to feel like a game can it still be called as such?

Edit: I would like to point out an error. I originally posted incorrectly that I felt like turning off the system and doing chores while looking for a Tusk Thumper. I actually did turn off the system and do chores. I just felt the need to clarify. I can elaborate if anyone wishes to know.

  4. Zaws were removed not too long ago and for a good reason. I for one, am in favor of removing the weapon entirely. I remember when the Arca-Plasmor was introduced to the game. It single handedly destroyed the conclave pop. numbers. It had a large AOE radius and nearly impossible to evade so Conclave devolved into who had the best skill with the notorious no-skill cannon. It took about a year for it to get fixed.

Any weapon that is not hitscan needs to be monitored closely, but we can see this clearly isn't the case. The Conclave is the dirty broom cupboard of Warframe: No one really likes it, it has tools strewn haphazardly about the place, rarely cleaned and a pain to get someone to clean it every once and awhile.

I can handle beam weapons, melee being unbalanced and a lot of other nonsense but elemental damage especially if it has screen tear, bleed, blur, color shift, color sap or any other screen mess needs to be handled properly.

Heat, Electric, Toxin and cold are managable but radiation is not. Radiation is a plague upon the Conclave, which is what the Staticor is.

The Staticor seems to maintain its PVE blast radius which is wholly unacceptable for the Conclave. When the weapon becomes more powerful and useful than other weapons due to no need for LOS, a large blast radius, high AOE damage and screen manipulation it needs to be looked at and it needed a look last week.

Conclave is a mess and I really despise the grind to unlock some of the coolest skins in the game. But I digress.

    The Staticor either needs to

    1) be removed entirely

    2) have its blast radius cut by about 75%

    3) remove the ability to charge the weapon

    4) have a minimal ammo count

Point 4 would work out easy enough if it cut the amount of charged shots you could loose to about 2 before needing to chase down extra ammo pickups and limiting each pickup good for half a charge so you'd need to pick up two to get a full charge shot. The ammo is almost paired so this shouldn't be a problem.

We shouldn't be forced to jink multiple times (5? More?) When a single hit is enough to sink certain Warframes.

They used to be combined (and they were separate even before that).  I'm not sure why they are once again separate.  The console builds should be identical though, including NSW if they've caught up to us.

I don't believe that XBox and Playstation use the same build precisely. Each console has their own exclusive armor sets: Jade for XBox and Azura for Playstation.

However, I wouldn't exactly say the builds are different aside from a few cosmetic items and further, I wouldn't be surprised if both consoles had the exclusive armor sets in the game files.

We have seen aesthetic bugs bleed into game mechanics so you never know!

Edit: This bug affects me as well.

    Believe what you want.

    Why so hostile?

If gore is disabled, then yes, there is an effect on gameplay and it will affect Nekros' Desecrate chief amongst other things. There's no need to be rude.

As the community lead for TennoGen, I can shed a bit of light on this situation!

    • Actual transfer of items takes time - extra coordination is needed with creators before we can add their creations to the console build.
    • Testing 21 TennoGen items, items that were not made in-house, takes a lot of time to make sure they perform up to standard. Our TennoGen team is pretty thorough in the acceptance process but understandably some issues might go unnoticed. Even after release, extra tweaks are made either by creator request or because of an unforeseen error.

A lot of care is taken in regards to the console Cert schedule to provide our PS4 and Xbox Tenno with new content as quickly as possible, but sometimes concessions need to be made.

I completely understand why you’re disappointed, but our team does their best to ensure that our console Tenno get the best, fully-tested builds as often as they can. We hope you can appreciate the need for compromise here!

Hello once again. This is an older response from you mid-last year on Round 13 if I remember correctly. I would like a little bit more information regarding the 'perform up to standard' comment.

Does this mean that you (the team) 'debug' each skin? What does 'perform to standard' entail? I am not an expert by far, but I don't understand why attaching a skin to a wire frame that has already been established in the game for years takes so long?

I understand things take time, but what I don't understand is why your team would decide to skip over round 14 items, which your team has spent more time with debugging or testing or seeing if items perform properly, and skip to round 15 items which are newer and need testing. Wouldn't this start the process over again? I think it would push Tennogen back another three months if every tennogen item needs testing.

  8. Over the past week, I have noticed more and more corrupted enemies that spawn inside of walls, in ceilings and stuck in the floor of the tile. This happens during survival relic runs more often than others. As a solo player, trying to find and kill hidden enemies that spawn this way is frustrating. The corrupted that spawn in areas unreachable to normal weapons (some warframe abilities and explosives work) and cause the overall spawn rate of enemies to decline drastically. I just spent 25 minutes cracking only 3 relics due to this. Before anyone asks, yes, I know how the relic and survival mechanics work, no I am not running all over the tile sets.

Please, this issue is worsening and not being addressed. Please collapse the corrupted spawn lockers and relegate them to regular Corpus/Grineer/infested spawn closets. I understand that the 'random' corrupted spawns are part of relic running, however, if the Corrupted effectively kill the spawn rate at which you can crack relics with reactant then what is the point? You're very busy, sure, but the sorry state that are the Corrupted spawn lockers is unacceptable. They should not, and were never intended to, spawn inside walls, in ceilings and floors remaining unreachable by means of normal weapons (not launchers, Warframe abilities, explosives etc.)

Considering the incentive for digital Tennocon tickets is Baro'kiteer, whom requires ducats, which require melting down prime components obtained from relics, of which require reactant to crack open which relies on the Corrupted spawning in correctly. It seems it bruises the idea of getting a digital ticket (fashion incentives not withstanding)

I cannot ignore this issue any longer than I have and not try and make a case. Please, I implore you to fix this system as soon as possible. The Corrupted spawn lockers have always seemed broken but it seems that the problem is worsening and it has been left to fester. If there is anyone else that has noticed this problem increase, please say something. I cannot be the only player to notice this.

  9. Whilst using Harrow, I encountered a bug. When using an Archgun, Harrow's Thurible forces Harrow to 'respawn' the Archgun after the Thurible is through casting. Meaning that Harrow is forced to repeat the animation of the Archgun arrival every time he casts his Thurible. I do not believe this is intended, as quick melee does not force Warframes to redo the Archgun summoning animation so it stands to reason that Harrow's Thurible should not either.

  10. The Cyngas Archgun when spawned into a normal mission appears to be broken soon after. The two covers that form the barrel of the Cyngas seem to collapse into one another, causing the Cyngas to take an awkward shape. Further more, it can often remain in this broken form even while firing. This does not occur 100% of the time, but it appears often enough to be noticeable.

  11. The regular Soma model seems to be broken. While firing, the Soma's clip should cycle to the top of the receiver, and then eject. It fails to do so, even with a skin on the Soma. The clip instead awkwardly detaches and a new clip kind of 'floats' into place. The Soma skins have the same issue when equipped on Soma Prime.

  12. Using the Tonkor recently, I've noticed that the chosen energy color only affects the contrail of the projectile. If you color your Warframe's energy color, the explosion visual effect will copy the Warframe's energy color i.e. if your Warframe's energy color is pink and the Tonkor's energy color is green, the contrail will be green and the explosion pink. Is this intentional? If you do not color your Warframe energy, the Tonkor explosion will appear as normal.

  14. Guys, what is going on? I think you seriously need to reconsider offering Twitch drops if they're not going to actually work. It's disappointing because you *know* they don't work properly half the time. There isn't any real incentive to watch them or tune in for the drop alone. Please find a solution to this issue or don't promise things that cannot be guaranteed nor delivered. It feels cheap.

  15. My issue with both the Talons and Castanas is the inability to throw out more than a set number of charges (i.e only 5 active at a time). This wouldn't be a problem if multishot wasn't taken into account, but it is and it's frustrating. The spread was to increase the cc abilities of said weapons but I never really saw them fit that roll to begin with. I would much prefer if the multishot did not affect active charges and I could do without the spread, but understand why it exists. I'd like if they brought back the Hikou's altfire (pvp had it for a time) that enabled you to throw 3 at a time. Throwing weapons seem to need another look at the very least. I don't use multishot on those weapons because of the restriction.

It has nothing to do with a weapons stats, riven dispo is based almost entirely around the weapons POPULARITY in the community, hence why Tiberon gets a 4/5 or 5/5 dispo (cant remember) and Tiberon Prime comes out the gate, already strong, but now just freaking insane (think I've heard cases of 8x crit multiplers with a riven)

They need to start buffing older weapons disposition, Soma Prime was a strong weapon, but now comparing it to say, Prisma Gorgon, which performs better AND has a better riven dispostion? Not much competition.

Yup. I can attest that with my riven I am able to achieve a critical multiplier of 9.5 on single fire. This is before calculating Bladed Rounds. It's like a railcannon ripped from the deck of a galactic starship because it also gives 2.3 punch through.

  17. 13 hours ago, peterc3 said:

Then you need to reroll it if you want different stats on it. That they are the stats you want but in the wrong order is irrelevant to the system.

This comment is both asinine and churlish at the same time. A minimal change without many noticeable effects. Using items that can then be capitalized on by DE seems a fair exchange. It could also be suggested that depending on where the mod is placed could give priority, much like we have now.

  18. 1 hour ago, felixsylvaris said:

Dispossitions are based on weapon popularity. So if Soma P has bad riven mods, that means that a lot of players use it (and then complains that it is inferior to tigris prime).

If players use it, it cant be that bad. It may be affected by low level plays.

Except they haven't shifted any weapon's riven disposition since the introduction of rivens. This is especially true of Prime variants. I doubt the regular weapons are just as popular as their better counterparts. Besides, patching a weapon with some riven duct tape isn't very appealing.

  19. I think the issue is that Soma and Soma Prime are almost interchangeable in terms of performance. The differences are there, but never made me go "Wow! This is so much better than the original!" like say with Tiberon Prime. Soma Prime needs some kind of boost to leg it up over its normal counterpart.

The argument here isn't "Soma Prime is bad" it's "Soma Prime and Soma are not to different from one another".

If, for example, you take the regular Gorgon, boost its ammo cap to 180, give it a faster spool time and a 3% boost somewhere does that sound like you'd use it? No, which is why the Wraith and Prisma Gorgon exist.  Night and Day over the regular Gorgon, yeah?

I doubt a small bump to status chance will break the gun. Also: being a slave to the Carrier sentinel is NOT an acceptable response. If the Soma Prime requires third party magic assistance to be viable later on, by your own admission: it isn't super.

I don't believe that anyone should be forced to use the Carrier to make a weapon's apparent issues disappear. You can pretend it helps, but it's duct tape over something that was overlooked. If the worry is that it'll be too powerful. . . what? Is that really a worry in the land of scaling Lankas and Tigris Primes? Why is that even an argument against seperating the Soma and Soma Prime by boosting the latter it over its predecessor?

It's almost as if you're worried you'll kill the enemy faster or something.

  20. I would like to hear opinions on the new Furis firing FX. Personally, I preferred the old 'beep, beep, beep' of the Furis as opposed to what we have now, which sounds generic. It's a small thing, but I notice it and I miss the old sounds.

What's everyone's thoughts on that? Are there any other weapon sounds that you prefer the old over the new FX?
