    Aye.

    It certainly does.

Budgeting becomes a necessity when you're trying to live on SSI.

I'd qualify for true disability (SSDI) but I didn't pay into the system first. America doesn't care about those who are born disabled, just the ones that live more than half their life as wage slaves before becoming disabled.

If I wasn't bumming off my ex (I pay him 500$ a month to stay in the apartment as his co-tenant) I wouldn't be able to live, forget blow hundreds of dollars on Warframe.

You missed the point.  I use YNAB..I was on YNAB on version 1.  I was an early adopter.   If I wanted to, because I almost 16 years with YNAB, I could easily spend a $100/month on warframe and I wouldn't flinch because I know how to budget and plan.  I did the work.

But I can already tell with your "wage slave" comment you have a chip on your shoulder about your current lot in life.   Coming from a similar position way back when..let me give you a piece of advice...it doesn't help to be like that.  It dries up support and holds you back.

Furthermore, please be a little glad that some of us "whales" are why many people can play for free.  Yes..there might be some people with impulse control issue but that is with anything.  I know people in sports who go out and get injuries constantly because they have no control....does that mean sports are bad?

Hopefully things turn around for you.

Void Hole isn't even that good anymore in comparison to other battle avionics. It's fine if you stop farming it and take a break.

I disagree.   I use total less resources and overall less time with void hole still.  But I understand how to operate in a 3D enviroment and group targets up.   This also keeps the necessary slots open to be able to use the main gun without worry about using up my ammo.  Can usually get through 2-3 missions before needing to head back base without need to head to engineering.

Obviously destiny doesn't have the same power fantasy warframe does so the gamemode wouldn't translate nearly as well. However, I bet that there could be ways in which to create a system where nuke frames arent the only options.

    So...not warframe then?

I would love for this to be in the game. Destiny 2 has a similar mode called gambit which consists of basically killing mobs, gathering points, and invading. And so far, it's been quite the success.

Apples and oranges though.  Destiny has no real variety compare to warframe.  You come built a certain way, you play a certain way, or you lose...PERIOD.

A good bard could be quite an asset. A bad bard was worse than useless.

Sounds a bit like Limbo, no?

They were a very busy class to play. Some enjoyed it, most did not. The class attracted certain types of player. Again, some were an asset, some were inclined to bad behavior (there was a fair degree of this in EQ). The training of mobs onto unsuspecting players was one such example of bad behavior (full disclosure: I played a shadowknight, which also had a certain reputation in the game--it's also why this sort of thing didn't really bother me, since the SK had several 'get out of jail free' cards to play if griefed).

I just used a fairly complex auto-it script towards the end if I was twisting 4 songs.  Got rid of 99.9% of latency issues.   Also allowed me to take over quite a few of the logistics tasks in raids since I sorta could check out of that function.  In the end though...bards were useful to others more than they were to themselves but usually got the short end of the lootstick.

Right now there are only people saying rivens should be eliminated. I didnt read a single post defending them.

But try removing them and see what happens. You are right. You should save this comment in case they do it.

Oh sorry...didn't realize I needed to defend my viewpoint because you think you are worth a response.  I'll give you one post and no more.

With that said....Rivens should stay...so your argument is moot.

I kind of wish they would bring alerts back, if only for the fact that new players would likely appreciate the credits and resource drops they used to give.

    I don't see why Nightwave and Alerts can't co-exist.

Parts could exist..other parts could not.  A core tenant of the change was to eliminate the sacrificing of sleep/life to catch an item you were missing.   Compared to the old system you can not disturb your life/sleep and still obtain "life".   Now...if you have excessive time on your hands I can see why the change is not liked.

So, for COVID problem, that just have started, we are isolated. Maybe, its a good time to introduce, or at least think about the Cross-Progress Or make a Platform Merge Event for warframe players, If it is even possible. I mean, please, hear me out Steve even said on Tennocon, that its all about connection, so why not let players connect? Can't DE Organise a one more Merge Event? I am sure, there are players that may want to Change thier platforms. And surely, DE would get some good PR.

My guess is you have never really programmed before much less done anything replied to netcode.   Your comment is akin to saying "hey, you know what would be neat, finding the cure for cancer...and surely, the medical industry would get some good PR".

... but like a musician practicing a song slowed down with a metronome, you learn it slow while it's still difficult, and it eases into being full speed with practice.

Here is the thing...how many people who pick up an instrument go in thinking "oh crap, I have years of constant effort before I don't suck"...almost none.  They all have dreams of grandeur thinking "I'll be banging 10's and snorting cocaine with 100 dollar bills before I know it".    Then they go into classes and find it boring so instructors come up with stuff to keep them entertained rather than teaching/training.  That is a core problem that people want the "get it quick" or "optimal solution" right away and completely and totally miss out on the journey and the wisdom that comes with it.

Had a conversation the other day with somebody asking how I got "so fast" at a half ironman...I told him about 500 hours per year of training.   There are no short cuts in most of life...but people love their "life hacks" it seems.   If there was a shortcut to getting good, professional athletes would not spend 20+ hours week in and week out training....unless every single one of them on the face of the planet is wrong.

Wtf are you talking about. The question was stupid, answering it is meaningless, yes Destiny has problems, but they are not Warframe scale problems 😄 . Destiny has good progression, satisfying rewards and immagine that - actual endgame content.

Keep deluding yourself.  I played all the way through destiny from day 1 and recently gave up destiny 2 and you keep cherry picking "what you like" and letting the festering pile of CRAP that it still has out of your vision.   You are not being honest or genuine.   Both games have SERIOUS flaws.   All persistent online games do.  There is not one that doesn't.   The whole grass, looking, greener, and other side...always true.     If destiny 2 is so great why are you still here?

So why aren't you on a Destiny 2 forum?

Because that would mean admitting to himself and others that destiny pisses him off too.   When a person takes the time to sit in anger and let if fester to hatred...I am no longer sure it is the game that is the problem.

Seriously? Because they don't make enough from the fashion frame addicts paying for skins and armor sets? People buying prime access packs and whatnot?

And as for the rest with the "sell items for platinum" answers, yes, that's an option. A very, very boring one. That's how I've been getting my Warframe and weapon slots as well as catalysts and reactors...and I'm so damn sick of relic runs that I could snap a controller in half. There's a ton of other content I'd like to explore and work with...but I also don't want to leave 3 frames sitting in the foundry for a week to do it.

So why should the people who like fashion be the only people that pay the brunt of the cost.  What makes YOU so special?

Title really says it all...but a specific suggestion would be for things like weapons and frames awarded through quests (like inaros and titiana for example) to at least also come with appropriate slots. Seems like every time I get a new item I spend 3 days grinding relics for stuff to sell for play just to be able to get my stuff out of the foundry...it's super frustrating.

So...how is DE supposed to pay their staff?

  14. I think you have your blinders on too tight.  Go look at any game forum or reddit...most of them are "S#&$ on the devs".    I feel many people have gotten so far into "cancel culture" that most forums should just be shut down for the mental health of the developers.

It's a gradient thing. Being just plain uncontrollably and uncounterably powerful gets boring very very fast. Without level scaling, finding sweet spot is simpler and maintaining it is also easier. Hypothetically at least. At least it'd be far more predictable and manageable then the current system. That's also kind of the crux here: It doesn't have to be perfect, it just has to be better.

At some point, "power fantasy" loses meaning when you can't fail in any meaningful sense.

The only reason destiny "works" the way you describe though is because there really are no "choices"...at all.   Destiny has as much choice as a Russian grocery store during height of communism.

Second, the term "better" is loaded.  The people who are advocating for this, AFAIK, are a very small percent of the player base.   I play with a group of around 20 people and maybe 2 or 3 of us would be "fully decked".  The rest are operating with non prime mods and rarely a potato..much a less a forma and they don't find the content "push over".

Is the real issue that you want content to be in such a way as to validate your decision for sinking so much time into this game?

Honestly the best thing to happen, in my opinion, would be the removal of enemy levels. Rebalance the mods to static enemies and utilize the insane variety of enemies we have on tap to provide difficulty and challenge through enemy population diversity and density.

So you play a power fantasy game but don't want the power fantasy....interesting.

I can understand the frustration of some players on the game not being what they want but somehow holding onto a dream that the core of this game is going to somehow radically shift is delusional thinking and probably based upon how long people hold these feelings definitely not healthy.

Please make Volt's speed mechanics similar to that of Guass', or at least increase the speed multiplier. It would be cool to race other players with these two frames.

Why...I can just use nova and beat them all.

  18. People WILL hate me for this, but I feel that the change to energize (max rank) was appropriate.

I used to be able to turn my brain off in regards to energy with the previous energize (especially x2).   It didn't matter if I was 175% or max blind rage...I just didn't care.  Now I actually have to pause just a little bit and make sure I'm not going to tap out.   so yes, energize now meets the spirit of what an arcane is meant to be...a temporary boon to turn the tide of a battle.  I am okay with it.

Just reading & watching videos on possible changes. Sounds like its going to be a bit of a mess (you know there will be).

Whats peoples thoughts on in coming changes?. Any possible nerfs/changes to way certain weapons works etc?

Looking forward the endless list of complaints because people just like to hate everything for some reason.  Can't wait until they actually get in a real relationship and watch it crumble constantly because of the attitudes they developed in forums and gaming.  It will be glorious.
