Nothing is actually preventing DE from releasing Excal prime.
See that whole "contract" bs is jsut us throwing legal mumbo jumbo in order to hide people's whining on the forums. The EULA which we have to agree to to evne be allowed to play the game states that everything isn't covered by warranty in section 8.
DE never explcitly signed a legal document agreeing them into a contract and the EULA completely invalidates us taking legal action as we'd be breaking the terms of the end user license agreement.
Its been just DE goodwill thats kind of had us keep the foudners stuff and its also why china frame didn't get it because DE didn't want to distribute it by choice.

The thing is they aren't permanently in the game they only show up during events or occasional one offs.

Snipetron technically isn't in the game and has only shown up in events because of lore reasons. (Not vandal)
Though I think with a tenno redesign it could come back.

The chat moderator is in "do not disturb" mode, I cannot contact him and he did not bother even telling me that, for whatever reason, asking people to come see my ship on region chat is not allowed. I am not dead-naming him for obvious reasons but I'd like an answer to why is it not appropriate to do what I did and why are moderators allowed to do that without warnings.
Dead naming is a term used for trans people who associate their old name as its to a dead identity.
The term you want is "naming and shaming"

No DE team reads these threads anyway. Anyway i've been on the forums and nobody si really actually mad at umbra but do wonder where certain spects of the game will go from here. And anyone who is angry about it is quickly shot down.
Maybe you should get your eyes checked.

Could always have umbra as a series but the way to obtain them would be sacrificing a prime frame to helminth or something for modification.
But honestly they might jsut be a limited series. The sisue is they introduced a new mechanic with them and exclusive polarities which hints they might do more with them in the future. Unless they give every frame the AI passive and umbra polarities can be added.

Personally I couldn't care much about excal prime. We've been wanting a better looking excal for a while and this is more like it. DE couldn't rerelease excal prime because of our legal threats so its on us that they'd release a better excal that beats it.In all honesty i'm kind of wanting Umbras to be more than a one off thing. The story lore with excalibur and how he became who he is now was really worth hearing and honestly it would be nice to see more umbra frames and hear about what ballas did for them to be in that situation.

There is this thing called "coding in a quest flag to state you have already obtained umbra so the next umbras slot would be temporary" If DE can make a warframe break the logic of the UI system so it can choke my operator i'm sure they can do that.
Or did you forget what it means to be a developer or even have programmers on a game development team?

Hoping for Valkyr umbra since her entire design has been around being tortured and broken since base valkyr.
As for primes well my excal prime is on display now and I don't evne use other primes besides mastery.

Thats asinine as hell. Natah showed us lotus was a sentient, we still trusted her and she broke that trust because of her love obession with Ballas.
The lotus is based off Rebecca but the character has its own identity. Dropping hints rebecca would be losing her job through a quest would be a crapshow of PR and would make DE look like children.

As ordis has mentioned warframes don't feel any thought or emotion because they are merely just puppets. Umbras specifically were made using the infestation on a live subject, specifically helminth's strain according to ballas's dialouge in the quest.
Umbra does predate the current warframes and evne prime's though so its likely the methods sued to build warframes were perfected and ballas has found a way to just stop brain functionality on a subject without it stopping the frame form working. So its likely the only reason Umbra was so wild was because the person inside is still alive, capable of thought and emotion. So of course greivances for killing his son linger his mind and the weight of such a burden staye don him until we helped Umbra kill Ballas.

Teshin would fit the bill as a proper replacement as he's been a major plot point in the game for a bit. Going as far as showing su the truth about margulis.
Seems like a more realistic guide than the lotus at this point. Or we could just become free mercenaries.

You can't yet but you arne't obligated to keep them if you build doesn't need them.

Unless there is a benefit for not having a warframe fight for you while in operator umbra excal is kind of a replacement and im sure every umbra will be the same even fi the stats amtch. That mechanic alone is a pretty big change despite it not looking like it on paper.
But we can only tell shoudl there be another umbra in the future honestly.
