So, I'm having issues with the 2.0 drops system.

When it first started, I unlinked and then linked my accounts before the date that they would go live. Then, I watched the stream to get the Gold Potato drop and got it about an hour after I'd claimed it, so I assumed things were working fine...

...Until this week's drops, that is. See, I watched HomeTime yesterday and the DevStream today and claimed both of the drops I'm supposed to get (the Octavia Noggle and the Umbra Forma BP), but now that I've logged into Warframe, I am not seeing EITHER of the messages that I have them.

Back during the previous drops system, I could just watch, and when I could log in (since RL is a thing), I'd instantly have an email saying I had a drop. With this new system, I don't know WHEN or even IF I'll get my drops.

Please, DE... Find a way to get drops to us who claimed our drops during stream but haven't got them yet.

As has been stated repeatedly, it takes a while. Run some missions. Do things to refresh the data in your Orbiter, like going to Cetus or literally anything that involves not being on it. Come back. It has taken me many hours to get certain drops. Your account is linked, as evidenced by the fact that you got the potato.

My issue is I am at work when all this stuff is always going on and am only able to listen to the stream from my phone and can only take a glancing look when something catches my ear so I can remember what to look for when watching later at home. never got to claim the noggle or the umbra forma bp.

You can claim the drop within 24 hours as long as you actually meet the 30 minute requirement. You don't have to do that part during the stream. If you earned the Umbra you can still claim that right now!

What happens if we're not capable of claiming our twitch drops within the 24-hour period.because I've tried to claim the twitch drops and I keep getting an error over and over and over again and I'm afraid I'm going to lose these twitch drops

Do you have drops that are still showing up 24 hours after that are giving the error? If they are, you're definitely in the clear, because you won't see them after 24h otherwise. The error is a known issue DE is working with Twitch on, and according to Megan either in this thread or elsewhere the drops should still be claimed on your actual account, there's just a discrepancy between Twitch and the game regarding the UI.

Though it seems like even if we did, a lot of people didn't get it anyway with the progress bar getting stuck and all.

The progress bar got stuck for very few people. The progress bar stopped because the campaign was set to run until 3PM EST, regardless of the length of the stream, so after 3PM if you didn't meet the requirements (like myself, at 93%) the campaign was over and the drop no longer available.

I discovered this when I went to the campaign page and saw that it listed the campaign as being over while the DevStream audio was still playing in another tab.

Followed instructions well in advance. Twitch froze at 93 % well before the stream ended. Didn't get the umbra forma. Sadface.

Twitch didn't freeze. The campaign that DE has to set behind the scenes ran until 3PM. Even though they went over, Twitch doesn't count that. I got stuck at 96% for the same reason. I found out by going to the Drops section where it told me the campaign had ended while the stream was still running.

Just getting an error on the Twitch inventory page when clicking on the Claim Now button. - Error occurred Drop was not claimed. Very helpful and informative as to why. Just get rid of drops and make them alerts so all players can get these things.

I agree with you in part, but they'd need to make the Alerts last a reasonable amount of time. I'm still at work for several hours; many people are in different time zones. We can't turn the game on the moment a stream starts. Plus, having alerts doesn't actually help their Twitch partnership because nothing requires you to watch the stream. You can just do the alert.

DevStreams should be GotL drops though, regardless.

I followed those instructions, then I claimed my drop from today's stream over 40 minutes ago, and still nothing in game.

    What gives?

Give it time. I've had to wait several hours. Specifically, try to do missions to update the mail data for your Orbiter. You could also go to a relay or Cetus or similar. Just leave your Orbiter to refresh it; it takes time, regardless. Definitely not as instantaneous as Twitch Drops 1.0

question, if i'm at work and have the stream running on my pc until i'm back home
can i still click the claim button or it will be expired if i doesn't claim it during the stream ?

Based on the new information from testing and what Megan has said, you will be able to claim it within 24 hours of the stream. So getting it when you come back home from work shouldn't be a problem, provided you can get Twitch to start the stream while you're afk.

    I can do this bit

Blue Song (Mint Royale): Mandachord (Original)

I would say that is a more than acceptable part of the song! Thanks so much for taking a look, this is great. Exactly what I was hoping for.

I love your rendition of "You Spin Me Round", and you're right, it's super easy to get buffs. But I've also had it stuck in my head for over a week now thanks to you and needed a change. ;)

Except you can. If you open up the stream page and hit play, it will just sit there with a loading circle, and when the stream does actually start... it starts. I got both the helmet and shawzin this way.

When I open the Warframe page before the stream I just get a "Warframe was Live x hours ago. Click here to watch the most recent stream!" even once the stream starts 10 minutes later. If I open the stream once they've gone live, sure, it will autoplay. You can't have the tab open preemptively, though. You could theoretically set a script to periodically refresh the page, but you can't open it beforehand without some preparation.

Unlinked and re-linked earlier this week except I unhooked from twitch first contrary to the instructions. Left my computer on as normal before stream when I went to work last night and came back to nothing. Unlinked and re-linked again last night just this time in the correct order. We'll see how it turns out this week

Unfortunately, based on my experience and the accounts of others in the thread, you need to manually interact to actually begin the stream on the channel once it goes live. You can't just leave the tab open and let Twitch start the stream automatically.

So i got all of the this weeks drops except the shawzin even though i had claimed it on twitch. What's up with that?

If you claimed the shawzin on Twitch, and you've been receiving your other drops, just give it time. The in-game mail can be...spotty. Just play the game and give it a few hours. After a few missions you'll hopefully get the mail notification. I had forgotten all about the stream when I received my potato blueprint this week. If you go a day or two, take a screenshot on Twitch of the claimed drop and send it to support, but give it time first. The drops are a lot less responsive than the old ones.

Weird. My inventory is still showing all the claimed drops from this week.

My inventory shows the claimed drops, as in the drops I hit claim on either during or after the stream. However the one I earned but left unredeemed for ~24 hours (in my case, specifically to test it) is gone.

The addition of progress meter is a step forward. But forcing everyone to claim the gift manually is a step backward.

2.0 might signify that a lot of work had to be done in order to make this system work. But it is not the convenient system that we are used to, which is automatically claiming the twitch drop reward.

Twitch implemented this. The only "hard work" the system has undergone is analytics to determine interactivity and usage during and after streams; they just want to up their numbers.

  14. @[DE]Meganit does seem the Twitch drops will expire if not claimed. I'm not sure what exactly the threshold is, but I checked several times under drops after the stream and my drop was there. I already have the Cadenza helmet so I was specifically testing whether I could get the drop at all since I had it in-game, and if so how long I could keep it unredeemed (e.g. whether I needed to redeem it before I could redeem the next reward, when it would expire, etc.). I don't know when exactly the last time I checked the drop was yesterday, but it was sometime in the evening, EST. I checked just now (1:28PM EST) and the drop is no longer in my inventory; only the reactor I claimed on Monday.

It does sound harder than before .. More inconvenient than before.

Also, multiples errors at claiming happen.. Trying to change something that was working most of the time, for something just worse sound the Typical DE

More like Twitch, because this is a move on Twitch's part. The old service ends next week. DE held out as long as it could, it seems.

The power has been out for 60 hours.  What's going on in Texas right now is complicated, but it involves stupidity at every level.

I'm good for now, but if I still don't have power by Tuesday when Octavia prime drops then I'm really gonna lose it.

I feel conflicted "liking" these posts about your misery, but I want to show support...

It's astounding that other, more rural states have maintained better (though still spotty) infrastructure through all this than a powerhouse like Texas.

Again, I didn't get the drop until after I played a mission, despite about 40 minutes between claiming it in Twitch and actually logging into Warframe.

Exact same experience. I had actually forgotten about the stream and played for quite a while, but sometime randomly after completing a mission (I don't even think it was my first mission) I got mail from Teshin.

I'm letting the Cadenza helmet simmer in the drops because I already made it, so I want to see how long I can push this, and if I'll have to claim it to claim tomorrow's drop. Been trying to do these stress tests because I have the drops for this week, so feedback like yours is valuable.

I watched stream for about 10 minutes, then left it open and went to sleep ('cuz 12am on a workday is really not a good time for streams). Should be fine, Megan specifically said that you can claim drops manually later, right? I would like some clarification on that because drops were working 100% for me before and this new system just broke it. Nothing in my profile and I have no idea what I did wrong except living in a bad timezone.

Account relinked last week of course.

I've been testing this the last couple days. I don't believe you're doing anything wrong. Rather when you open the stream while they are offline Twitch won't update to actually show the stream when they are online; unless you manually click to open the stream, that time won't be counted. I was on the page for ~3 minutes before I clicked to open the stream  (because I am at work) and lo and behold, I didn't hit 100% until just after 33 minutes of stream time, accounting for frequent buffering which also interrupts the timer. So...not thrilled with Twitch doing this just for usability sake.

Edit: I guess this really doesn't apply to you since you were watching the stream, but I'm leaving this for people's benefit nonetheless.

Colour me absolutely shocked, this actually worked for me.

A lot of things in the description still don't make sense to me, like the "Twitch icon in the top right" that we're supposed to be able to click to see our progress. What Twitch icon? If it's your profile icon that lets you access settings, log out, etc, I didn't see any progress. Best way I found to track it was to access the inventory from the message that pops up when the stream starts, telling you what the drop will be (open the inventory in a separate tab of course), then hit F5 on inventory once in a while to check progress. I claimed it as soon as it became available while the stream was still running (I do wonder if it's even possible to claim later, or claim and let it sit in inventory for longer than a day, or any other valid questions along this line). I only loaded into the game 4 hours later, at which point I had to wait a few minutes and recheck my mailbox before the drop appeared there (I wonder if the "5-10 minutes before it appears" requires the game to be running).

Much as I like the addition of the inventory and being able to actually KNOW if the drops are working or not (a few have, for absolutely no discernible reason, not worked for me in the past), it does seem much clunkier than the old system with one small change: a simple progress bar that fills up towards 30min. Mixer was an absolutely awful platform, but they had that years ago and I can't fathom why Twitch can't seem to find a simple and elegant solution to drops, never mind copy an existing one.

Anyway it does look like this time this is a Twitch problem and not a DE problem. Kudos to Megan for the detailed OP.

There should be a section called "Drops" if you click your profile picture in the top right, which is what I assume the "Twitch icon" means. A progress bar along with a thumbnail of the item should appear underneath the Drops section without you needing to visit your inventory, at least during the stream itself. It also shows up in chat provided you opened the stream while it was active; otherwise you needed to refresh the page. But the other progress bar should have been visible the whole time.
