  1. The bit I don't get with laggy hosts is the choice it makes at the start of the match. My friend hosts as he's on a new connection, 90MB down, 18MB up, which is even more powerful than mine at 120MB down, 6MB up, so I figure it's best if he hosts as his Upload is better. So he does. So we're looking for randoms to play ODD with us. We get two guys in.

As the game starts, we hit a host migration, and it gives the host to one of the randoms; so we just chill, and figure he's probably one of the New Yorkers with the hundreds of meg connections, so no sweat. The game starts.

Oh. My. God. We actually didn't see an enemy the whole game. It was so laggy, I didn't even see enemies spawn. I didn't even see my teammates move. They were running on the spot in their spawn for six whole minutes before teleporting to the pod to do the same thing. I was taking damage from nowhere at random times, my friend had the same thing and so did one of the randoms.

So we figure, screw this, let's get out of here, this is like playing flipbook warframe.

The one guy did 100% damage and killed 260 enemies, and all three of us had high damage taken, no kills, no accuracy because we couldn't hit anything.

We asked him afterwards to speedtest. 0.7 Down, 0.03 Up was his final verdict. Which granted probably isn't his fault, maybe he's got a really horrible provider.

So, really, considering that the game host migrates at the beginning to pick the best host, what in the world made the server think he was the best host when the rest of us had at least over 100 meg?

The game supposedly auto select the best host, the problem tho is that it select based on your latency at the menus that is way lower than what you would get in a match ... So yeah the system is a bit broken.
