  1. The red glow is affected by one of the color options. With the right coloring, you will no longer see it.

Yes as I said in my OP, it is affected by Energy color and changing it to black makes it disappear. However, changing energy to black makes all energy related effects essentially invisible, which cause things to look wonky, or outright terrible.

For example, attacking with black energy with a melee weapon makes your weapon trail invisible, which kills a lot of the visual appeal. In the case of the Nikana you can hardly see your blade, and it looks like your frame is just flailing around in the air.

But I didn't think that it'd be connected to my energy colour, which is a darkish blue.

Yes, that is why I said it changes with changed energy color, as the glow itself seems to always be some sort of reddish color with a slightly altered hue depending on energy color.

  2. There is this weird red glow that has appeared on my Nikana since the new skins where added. It occurs both with the standard, as well as with the new Skin. It seems to be related to Energy color, as it disappears with a black color and shifts color as energy color changes. What you see here is the color at true white Energy color.

Has anyone noticed this? Personally I find it rather annoying and would prefer it if it was reverted to the previous look where the glow was not present.

  3. So right now when you pick a melee weapon, you choose to either just spam charge attacks or just spam normal melee attacks. Then you can choose to essentially waste 1-2 slots on Finisher and Stealth attack damage.

This leads to extremely monotone game play, because there is one effective way to use your weapon, and a bunch of comparatively ineffective ways.

Essentially this would allow us to chain Finishers,Normal Melee, Charge attacks, Slide attacks, etc... freely creating much more flowing gameplay

  4. I do agree that the kneejerk hate that people immediatly displayed is not helpful in the least, but their central message stands true. This update brought us a new tilset locked behind a grindwall, a boss locked behind another lair of grind, mostly useless mods, some standard weapon/frame addition and yet again completely broken loottables.

Thats just not cool, especially after we had been led to believe that the new golem will replace the old one (iirc they even specifically mentioned volt dropping somewhere else once golem is introduced in one stream).

DE is still at the point where people tjink they still listen to player feedback. I guarantee you that this will not be the case for much longer (we can see the telltale signs right now). This is the typical pattern with small dev teams that make it big, it always happens sooner or later. Sadly in warframe it seems to be happening before the game has a solid core.

I don't know why you keep insisting that people are trying to incite a riot, most posts here are written quite calmly with their issues and (sometimes) proposed solutions of said problems laid out in a rational manner.

The atrocious communication with the community is also one of the biggest critique points that people have. Had DE clearly said what their i tentions behind the stamina changes were then the outcry would have been far smaller. Also if the stamina change was part of a larger plan introducing said change without the rest can only end in frustration. At the moment it looks like these changes were made in the futile attempt to make the new stamina related mods viable.

Considering you have the same exact problems with U10 as (almost) everyone else I don't understand why you are so keen on letting de continue down this path without letting them know what you think of it. There is no angry mob here just a bunch of heavily invested players who want to let DE know that they are currently working against both the vision of said players for the game, as well as the vision that DE has led us to believe they had for Warframe.

  6. Take a look at how many hours some of us have put into this game. And this is just ONE game. You realize how much experience that gives us in End User Content? We may not know what numbers have to be put in what code, but you can't say that we don't know gaming.

    WARNING: INCOMING POTENTIALLY STUPID ANALOGY

If DE made Ice Cream, we may not know how to work the machines or how to get the purest ingredients, but we are more than qualified to report to them that Cotton Candy and Asphalt do NOT mix.

On that note i would like to point out that it is not a rare occurance for devs to severely underestinate the playerbase. An example would be inferno in d3 being completed in a matter of days instead of the weeks/months blizzard promised.

In short: listen to the players that put a lot of tine into the game an their critique of it, they are clearly invested and if most of them agree they are probably right.

Looking at these decisions from their point of view would make sense as an argument if DE hadn't specifically said that player burnout Is a concern for them and that they dont want the endgame to be grinding. Almost everything this patch introduced in some form adds more grind without substance to the game. Please tell me how structuring an update this way in light of what the community wanted was not a poor decision.

DE has practically admitted that some of these things were mistakes (in particular Stamina and derelict resource costs). Either that or they completely lack any backbone whatsoever.

There was not a whole lot that you could "give a try" for more than 2 minutes. Weather or not you liked the new stamina was obvious to you within the first couple of rooms you ran through an the grindwall they put up was obvious from the onset. There was no testing required to see that. Furthermore most posts in this thread are co structive and point out exactly what they dislike and what should be changed.

Lastly, I did not call you a DEfender, not voicing your concerns with this update does not help anybody and engaging in hyperbole for the sake of argument does not strengthen your position.

  8. and the DEfender shows his face

Its not one, but many decisions that DE made since ~U7. Also I'm not needy i owned everything that was farmable pre U10 and have easily enough credits mastery and resources to immeadiatly build everything released this update (like most complaining in this thread btw).

Just because you choose to overlook almost every bad decision that DE has made does not mean that everyone else. There is also no reason for dumb memes to get your point across (the hypocricy of this and your previous post is almost tangible).

  9. Pretty much agree with everything said here. DE's communication is beyond shoddy, to the point were I'd be hardpressed to even call it that.

Rebecca's responses here are just watered down PR statements, which bear no informative value whatsoever. Their patchnotes seem to be written down by someone from memory 5 minutes before they are posted, and many changes/bugs are so unnecessary and easy to spot that I wonder if anyone even spends so much as 10 minutes testing their releases. Not to mention that they deploy updates on Friday which is by far the worst weekday for any major update to software that people use in their freetime.

On top of that DE outright lied to us on a couple of things (eventhough people are still hesitant to call it that, but that will change is this behaviour persists).

All in all I am amazed that people still have this much faith left considering DE is either run by delusional people or they are out on a serious slash and burn moneygrub. At this point I very much doubt that anything will change in either the near and far future. Sure Warframe will continue to exist, but it wont be played by the same people who have been with it from the beginning which in my opinion is a quite tragic development for such an initially promising game.

  10. You are playing on a computer, there will always have to be numbers behind whats happening in the game, so matter how much you obfuscate whats going on. There will also always be people who will spend half their lives and sell their grandmothers to find out what those numbers are, and publish them.

Even if someone tried doing what you suggest its only a matter of (very little) time before the numerically best thing will emerge.

  11. It is true that when Mods fall off the map, they respawn on the corner of the island platform where the pod is located.

However, this does not apply to resource drops, which make farming for resource on this map frustrating at times especially when mobs are being killed and their resources are through to the bottom of the ship or the void zone of the map.

I have not had this issue. They fixed mods dropping past the respawn point, and so far it has worked for me. I would perhaps suggest putting in a support ticket about that.

  12. Well they made it retract like the normal orthos does while its on your back. Apparently whoever was responsible for that forgot to change the effect locations (also not how while attacking they are in correct locations)
