  1. Sooo much better on the hands if I can get the aiming down. I'll have to play around with the bindings though. For some reason I can't have Context action and Reload on the same button. Glad I checked this thread out. May end up liking this control scheme. Thanks for the suggestions guys.

Edit: Want to echo the guy above me. Controller seems to be a little more comfortable to me.

Interested in joining a clan that is actually online/active in my timezone which is CST -6 if ya'll are. Last clan I joined I made the mistake of joining without asking that and there were only a couple people online at anytime around 8pm cst. Would love to try out raids and do some productive farming etc.

  3. To me, the addition of the junction requirement is whatever. But I had the planet unlocked before hand. I haven't done all the junctions yet, and I plan on getting to sedna so I can do TWW; but, the additional gating for the quest seems silly for someone that has the planet unlocked. Correct me if I'm wrong because it's been awhile since I did a quest under the previous star map. Doing a particular quest required the previous one being completed and having the particular planet/nodes where the quest happened accessible, right? So what I am wondering is why the junction is the requirement instead of say, kela de thame being beaten, or just those nodes where the mission is unlocked? Why, just out of curiosity, did they choose the junction as the prereq?

I have probably 100-250 invested. I do like Type-8 does and wait for the 50 or 75% discount. It comes once a month almost like clockwork and I spend no more than 25USD per month on it. I've had an account for 3 years but have only been active for the last 12 months, so that money is spread out over time. I have a little more money than time or skill so it saves me from grinding a few things and gets me to enjoying the awesome game that DE made. Absolutely no regrets as well.

As someone who loves Corpus spy and has over a thousand total extractions under his belt, the answer is Limbo.

Use him with Shade (or better yet, a Huras Kubrow), and run one silent weapon. He's especially effective in sorties, where he can use Rift Surge (or better yet, Covert Lethality) and the MS boost from Rift to quickly and efficiently dispatch enemies that you can't risk letting run around.

A lot of people say Ivara's a better pick these days due to her augment and passive, but I still believe Limbo is the king of spy. For one, he can straight up ignore enemies in between extractions while keeping a blistering pace and for another, using Ivara's Infiltrate augment cripples her movement speed and will be canceled by most parkour moves, something you're going to want to have access to for the majority of the vaults.

I suppose it makes sense thematically, given that Limbo very closely resembles the quintessential gentleman thief.

I am loving the Limbo use. I haven't got around to finishing up building Ivara so I can't say how effective she would be. But Limbo man. Awesome frame. I got shade just to help with the aggro and a couple of problem vaults. I haven't put any forma in him but I use intruder with rush. Want to put enemy sense on there but I only got a damaged one. For his spy build it's all utility mods to get things done fast.

To me that'd be a bit worse as you lose the "control" you have currently over whether or not you want to use your powered-up shot with the activation being automatic, meaning instead of using it on a Heavy Unit or the boss you'll instead accidentally use it on a regular enemy like a Lancer, which is a bit of a waste of energy.

That's what I figured. Tell me, do you like where her 1 is now? What would you change? Just curious.

  7. It's been a while since I played Mesa. One thing bugged me though. Doesn't her 1 require you to hit it a 2nd time? What about playing with the idea that it discharges when it reaches 100% when you shoot the next time. Besides the obvious advantage of applying that damage to a higher priority target, what might be the downsides? Missing and or hitting containers is apparent I know. Wasted shot there. What about you Mesa players? Better, worse?

  8. For me, I play for fun. I have enough to deal with at work. Fun to me is preparation, however. That requires a challenge or goal of sorts. That leads me to use how I've prepared to do whatever. Whether that prep work is a change in playstyle, a new strategy, finding new facts on the wiki, etc doesn't matter. That challenge is required to start the process though.

You realize there is a little contradiction in what you say, right? You state that it'their ability is "unique and kinda cool". And then "it's cool that enemies have abilities similar to our warframes". Unique. Similar. Those are opposites mate. Just wanted to point that out.

Another thing I'd like to discuss : you don't play high level content. That's perfectly fine. But what about the players that face this enemy at a level range where a stray shot means instant death? I mean sure, we could use the "hey, shoot them first, learn to prioritize mate!" argument. There's just a tiny problem with that, as every player that is used to play high level content has learned painfully. At this point, every enemy is a high priority target, because every enemy can take out most frames with a simple burst. They dont need any fancy power or super weapon. And since this guy can use his Switch Teleport instantly, with absolutely zero counterplay (other than the forementioned "learn to prioritize!", but we know now that it's an invalid argument), I don't think the word "cool" qualifies here. "Unfair", or "cheap" seem much more appropriate to me. Robbing players of the control they have over their avatar is not what I'd call a sound way to create challenge, especially when there is no reliable way to prevent that from happening in the first place.

I was referring to the uniqueness of the ability relative to the other enemies. I only know of the flameblade that has a similar ability. And on the topic of higher level content, I can't comment much on it. I honestly don't have the time, energy, gear, or formas to really tackle it. If it is as large a problem as you say then I'm open to changes. But again I can only express my opinion on what I've experienced. I am not suggesting design changes as I don't have the experience to give informed suggestions. I was just commenting on what I have seen. Sorry they are such a pain in the butt. Those like you with such experience, I hope you use it well and give the best feedback possible to make the game better for the rest.

  10. I just want to chime in and say that when I got Limbo, his backstory of being a mathematician sold me on buying him. I definitely don't have his play style down properly because I tend to die when out of rift walk far too often. As an avid Limbo lover I will definitely take the playstyle advice to heart. The mods on the other hand is a bit too micro managing for me. Plus I don't have several of the warframe mods you use. I also want to echo TARINunit9's comment on Limbo's use as a smash-n-grab. I can't do lvl 90 stuff by no means, Limbo or not. At the lvls I can manage, he is amazing at this, especially Corpus Spy. I only wish he could shoot (while in the rift) fans, grates, and the other objects you have to destroy to progress further in the level. Limbo is definitely one of my favorites (in top 3 probably) Great guide. Imma test things out when I get a chance next. See how they work for me.
