  1. So,I'm building me a Frost Prime. Didn't make me a normal Frost yet,but whatever. About time I built me a Prime item. Looking at the abilities,I decided to focus on Snow Globe and Ice Wave. Thing is,I know there's three different ways to maximize the Globe: Durability, radius, and duration, while the Ice Wave can only maximize length and damage.

I want my Snow Globe to last longer than a second, but I'm not really concerned with making sure it lasts for forever and a day. How do you guys think I should mod my Frost Prime? I would, however, like you to make a distinction between "Core Mods" that I can squeeze on without the use of Forma, and mods that I can go without until I have some disposable Forma to polarize the slots for.

In advance, thank you for the advice!

  2. To know when Baro will arrive at Relays next,go to a Relay, approach the Ducat Kiosk, and look at the readout the object projects in the worldspace. It will give you a countdown to the when, but not the where. When the countdown reaches zero, the kiosks will tell you where, along the lines of "Void Trader has surfaced at {Relay Name}!" It uses the actual name of the relay,by the way,not the planet name.

  3. A Clan Dojo is the headquarters of a clan. They are built room by room, and require a special key to access. To build the key,you need resources from the Mercury system, and it takes 12 hours to build. To trade,a trading post must be built in the dojo, which takes three days, last I checked, and both the initiator and recipient of the trade need to be MR2 or higher,as outlined by Devoid.

Clans are a long-term thing. The short version is I don't think you'd be able to use the trading system to give your son the platinum by Christmas; It takes days to get something built, without factoring in the resource gathering time.

A workaround would be to either join an existing clan,or get yourself invited into a clan's dojo by a particularly cool member of the community so you can trade the platinum with your son, once you two get to MR2. I hope I was helpful.

  4. 1) Yes. That magazine is hefty, and the damage is pretty sweet. The Supra might not be the God Gun,but it's pretty sweet. Especially on a Mirage.

    2) It'll kill things with fewer shots than the Soma,if you manage to hit with all the rounds. You'll have to lead the target.

    3) Very few things can fix the ammo problems. I suggest trigger discipline, ammo restores, and the digging Kubrow. And a dependable sidearm.

    4) What lag? I use Mirage,Angstrum,Fang, and Supra. Zero lag when I make a wall of explosions or plasma.

    5) Not in the slightest. I find there to be zero noticeable recoil. It simply isn't laser accurate to begin with.
    6) Theoretically? It'll make ALL the difference. It'll boost your proc chance to around 30%,all on its own. Build it for procs; Maximize the magazine size. Abilities can be used about 2/3 through the reload to cancel it without issue.

  5. As with everything in Warframe, the problem are not the nullifiers themselves, but the infinite scaling, there will be a point in survivals and endless defense where every wave will have so many nullifiers that all mobs will be protected by the bubble, and WILL be everyone undoing when 5 bombards and 10 gunners are protected on wave 50-60.

I actually took that into account; In the original post,I outlined "During regular gameplay." Going for 50+ waves is extended gameplay,as is going for 90 minutes or more in Survival.

  6. I've been seeing how people heap on the hate for Nullifier Crewmen, and the recent introduction of Nullifier Prime Crewmen. The thing is? I find them to be laughable. Why do you hate them? They're incredibly squishy under that dome. That dome collapses in short order when you decide to hose it down. All they bring to the fight is a Lanka,a Prova, and the ability to turn off any buffs you might be enjoying should you enter their dome.

From my observations,Nullifiers are weakest under their dome. Under their dome, they have weak shields, next to no health, and absolutely zero armour. In normal gameplay (As in NOT going for five years in Survival,or a million rounds in Defense),Nullifiers are a complication, surely, but something that can be dealt with as an afterthought. Just blitz their grill inside their precious dome, and kill them dead before they can react.

Is losing your buffs really that damning? I find that it's not. Inconvenient, sure. But not life or death.

  7. So,my clan was messing around in the dojo, because we're strange that way. The Grandmaster takes a seat in the Dueling Arena, and, just to see what I can do,I stood over him,and I was prompted to cancel the duel challenge. In a fit of curiosity,I pressed it,and the Lotus replied appropriately. When I sat opposite the Grandmaster,I was teleported out of the arena, but the Grandmaster wasn't,and the UI read "Heartsteal22 vs Heartsteal22". What proceeded was the Grandmaster,Heartsteal22,mucking about in the arena, able to pop the shields on myself and my Kubrow, but unable to inflict other damage, and was able to destroy his own Helios. His Helios damaged him, also.

We were able to replicate the bug with a 100% success rate.

  8. I have a Sobek, with naught but a potato. It kills things to death with laughable ease.

    Hell's Chamber (+120% multishot)

    Point Blank (+90% damage)

Disruptor (+30% Impact Damage, the primary damage type on the weapon)

Shotgun Spazz (+90% RoF,the biggest feature on the thing)

A pair of +Element/+Proc Chance mods to suit the faction.

The Sobek is murderkill on steroids, especially with the sizeable damage only split amongst four pellets. The Hek has a seven pellet payload, tiny spread, and quite a distance before falloff comes into play. When I used the Boar (J3 Golem was still a thing,Raid was still a thing),it was total garbage; No clue if it changed, and I never got a Boar Prime, nor have I touched the Strun or Strun Wraith.

Shotguns,at least the Hek and Sobek, are absolute monsters, and the Steel Meridian mods only make them nastier. Get in close, give 'em some buckshot mouthwash, call it a day. If you're willing to Forma some shotguns,Seeking Force is an instant contender for "Best Mod of the Year",as it lets you deal a shotgun's obscene damage to twice as many targets,or completely ignore cover.

What needs a buff is your shotgun game. I use the Sobek to roll over the Stalker.

  9. Just a potato.

    Split Chamber.

    Serration (Rank 8).

    Shred.

    High Voltage.

    Malignant Force.

    Thermite Rounds.

The elemental mods get shuffled around to get a faction-appropriate combo element. I take this thing as my "Srs Bsns" gun. T4 void? Rooms empty. Pluto? Tape down the trigger, call it a day. Toss it on a Mirage? Hall of Mirrors,Eclipse, stand in the light. Kill EVERYTHING.

While the Supra is weak compared to other weapons that require MR6 or more, all it really needs is a flight speed buff, and an ammo buff; Maybe 120 or 150 rounds per magazine, with a proportional reserve increase. If you throw on Entropy Burst, this thing becomes a proc MACHINE. It's like a Grakata, except it can kill a sickly bunny. And then some.

The spool up time is entirely negligible, especially with Shred. Why people consider it to be a drawback worth noting is beyond me; It's a plasma cannon that operates like a minigun. The electrodes likely have to warm up.

  10. The Hek is a beast. Shattered Justice literally triples you projectile count, plus throws on the Justice effect, which fires off one thousand Heat damage in a huge radius, and healing you for a bit of health, after you gain a certain amount of affinity with the weapon out. For the Hek,such a small mag size isn't worth modding on; Instead, get Tactical Pump so you can reload those four shots quickly, and throw on Seeking Force, which gives you overpenetration. This pretty much lets one bullet kill two or three guys. I'd also toss on Hell's Chamber, since that's 120% multishot; More pellets is GOOD. The Hek can be a mighty vehicle, even if half the mods are non-damage utility mods.

Other weapons? Shred on rifles. Why? Attack speed, and overpenetration, that's why,all in one mod. Lethal Torrent on secondaries,as that beauty provides miltishot and rate of fire, all in one mod.

  11. Option 1) Void missions. T1 Void pays out 10k. It only goes up from there.

Option 2) Survival missions. Enemies generally drop creds, albeit in small quantities. That, and low level Survival missions tend to pay out credit caches. Kill Grineer, get money.

Option 3) More of a supplement, really. The Loot Kubrow. No clue about the exact name, but it's the one that comes with Dig. It'll periodically dig up loot for you, depending on your needs. If you don't need anything,it'll dig up money. Furthermore, get the Scavenge mod for ANY Kubrow; Max rank is a 90% chance to force open locked lockers.

  12. Oxium drops from Oxium Ospreys, which will kamikaze when you start hammering on their armour. If the collide with you, your sentinel or Kubrow,or the terrain near the aforementioned, they will explode like a Bombard missile, robbing you of any and all drops. The goal is to kill 'em quick and clean. Now,since they're tougher than they look, this can get difficult if you run solo and/or with leveling gear.

I've never found any decent place to Oxium farm. People say things,I follow up,and nope. Very few Oxium Ospreys to be had. So,I just have this to say: Corpus Survival. It lasts as long as you can,and after about ten or fifteen minutes, you'll see one or two Oxium Ospreys a minute or so. Hopefully. In fact,if you need to farm ANY resource,I say Survival, for the exact reasons I stated above.

  13. Firstly:

.....Forma is not rare. It's never been rare it never will be rare. People need to stop saying it is because it isn't.  You're probably not doing enough void runs or don't know how to farm keys if you're having trouble getting forma. Any void defense or intercept runs will have you rolling in formas hell basic extermination runs can give you forma and since intercepts always give a key at wave 4 and t4 keys are buyable from syndicates now. There's no reason to not have keys laying around if you want them...

I said it once,I'll say it again: Speak for yourself.

I can burn through over fifty keys of all types and ranks and not get a single Forma. That is my default state of existence in Warframe. If I get Forma,it's almost always instantly spent on building that weapon I've been wanting to build for a few months. Hell, the Supra's been on my list since implementation. Welcome to RNG; Some people get lucky. Others, not so much. Guess which camp I'm in?

Also, someone put this argument to bed; Dig up the actual percentages. Something tells me Forma's sitting at a,what, three to five percent roll?

  14. No point building without forma

anyone that's played for a reasonable amount of time is drowning in forma and not lying or lucky and didn't need to farm it........

Speak for yourself. I've been playing ever since Warframe hit open beta. I've been here since the implementation of clans and research and the Void. I do little in Warframe besides Void and Derelict runs. I should be one of the people drowning in Forma, but I'm lucky to see a Forma print a month. That's how RNG works, and getting Forma from the Void is an impressively small percentage. Forma isn't common. It is rare. It's in the math, and it's the experience of a large majority of players. The people who proclaim to have more Forma than they know what to do with are the vocal minority.

So,I reiterate my original question: What mods would you all suggest I throw on my Supra,as I don't have the disposable Forma to waste on polarization?

  15. So,I built a Supra. For my Mirage. To go alongside an Angstrum. Am I nuts? Maybe. But I don't care. However,I've come to ask you all how do YOU build your Supra? First and foremost: A am NOT putting Forma into this thing,at least, not for a while. Too many things demand it for me to go wasting it on something as stupid as resetting the weapon for a polarity slot,ESPECIALLY considering Forma's rarity.

And if you're drowning in Forma, congrats, you're either lucky, lying,or spend disproportionate amounts of time farming it.

Let's just stick to Supra builds, shall we?

  16. I demand polearms out the wazoo. Spear and shield,to give the Sylva & Aegis company. A lance. A halberd,a PROPER glaive, javelins (Though, those would be primary/secondary weapons),and a bident. Polearms require an expansion, and considering they were THE weapon to use,way back when? Our current selection is a crime upon the history of warfare.

  17. Time consuming for the devs to make? Certainly. Incredibly complicated, and likely prone to bugs? Of course. Do I care? Not in the slightest. I don't like survival missions,as they currently stand. Pretty much for the exact reasons you outlined. I'm sure DE will look at this thread, and come to a similar conclusion; Despite all of the work they'd have to put into it,it'd be worth it,and pay off dividends.
