My bad, read it wrong. Even with that, too early to tell if these attack speed changes will be problematic. We have plenty of ways to keep attack speed balanced, if the attack speed is such an issue just use low rank attack speed mods. Instead of nerfing and buffing mods, maybe wait for melee 3.0, if a weapon has crazy attack speed to the point it makes the animation for it "meaningless" then the weapon should get tweaked, not the mods.

I disagree with your last statement. Weapon adjustment, especially in terms of animation is far less efficient versus mods, mainly because of the unique nature of each weapon.

Ofc I can lower the attack speed from mods. My intention in this thread is to highlight a weapon system that functions well without sacrificing the feel and since it is in development, this is the best time to share these thoughts. Once bread is our of oven, changing it is way more complicated

  2. Melee 3.0 looks great, but one big concern of mine is that Attack speed and it's destructive effect on Melee animations. New animations had so much punch and snap feel to them which is awesome, I don't want to see them being meaningless with super high attack speed levels.

I don't mod for AS that much, maximum %50 attack speed for example keeps the feel of the melee but more of it ruins it for me. I'd like to see an AS  cap for each weapon to keep the feel and Nerf to berserker mod by %25, down to 50.

Or a dmg buff to spoiled strike to negate the effect of excess AS.

  3. My steam frozen when the main part started i guess, I haven't refreshed the page worrying that it would mess up with the ash prime thing, resetting the timer etc. by the time I did refresh and started to watch it was about 6:45. Was watching stream for hours and I am afraid that this incident would cause me to lose Ash Prime.

  4. When I was first introduced to the game via friend, Saryn Prime instantly catch my eye with her rich/wonderful looks especially on helmet/shoulder tentacles. Seeing her getting another rework is a big alteration to my WF time since I use her for the most part, she is deffo my fav. I have couple things I want to share that might help the development.

    Spores/Miasma Dmg swap:

I favor spores having viral over corrosive, mainly because

1- viral benefits regardless of enemy type meanwhile corrosive can be subjective to have on high armor enemies. Spores are more general use meanwhile miasma is here and there, not all the time, perfectly goes well with my previous statement.

2- Corrosive stays forever, suits more for one time application while viral wears off, returning enemy to original hp, therefore rendering its previous usefulness(afaik). Viral spores can achieve constant proc meanwhile corrosive when necessary to apply high armor enemies sound very interactive with the game/enemy in a fun way to me. Dude talked about duration being less attractive but with this I can say that duration and miasma has a strong relation to get a meaningful viral duration untill enemies die, which counters his intention.

    Toxic Lash

Needs an animation/vfx indicator to have it visible clearly, especially as a melee saryn, I find myself checking timers at the bottom to see whether I have it or not. More clear visuals would be appreciated. I actually wanted to see the devstream molt activation vfx on saryn at toxic lash and permanent to give players a clear view.

I will surely miss toxin spread since regardless of damage, Condition Overload could benefit from an enemy that already have 2 status on them when we focus it.

  5. Hello everyone, my first post here. I have been struggling to notice the uptime of my Saryn's Toxic lash as I find myself looking back to the small UI of my abilities constantly. While recently getting my hands on Mirage, It is clear that such behaviour is not needed for her since her visuals give a clear indication of the prescence of the abilities.

My suggestion is to give saryn a blend of Molt's visual over the WF, similar to toning down the alpha of sigils. I personally LOVE molt and I think it will make saryn look even more badass with this idea, what do you think? what other suggestions u may have?
