What if i already have the Broca Prominence Syandana, what are the drops available for me or am i just not gonna get anything :D

Well, that syandana is a reward for linking your account, as far as I remember. So you only get one (since you only need one) the first time you link accounts.

Relinking just enables you to continue to receive the regular stream drops, which  are continuing as normal, just without automatic delivery into your in-game inbox.

Ugh no wounder why I don't see twitch prime anymore wasted 13 bucks on twitch prime.

I believe Twitch Prime was renamed to Twitch Gaming. And this has nothing to do with that. I am sure the Twitch Gaming exclusive loot will still make people sign up for the paid service. This is just about the live stream drops. :3

I've never had problems with Twitch drops and mines been linked for years, I just hope when unlinking and relinking doesn't start a snowball effect of problems. :P

Those were my thoughts. X3 I never dared to touch my link because it worked dependably unless the problem affected everyone.

But it's probably going to be fine. <3

Oh excellent, so I can't leave my comp on for the 3-4AM drop anymore.
Great update to the system... no, no, it's my fault for being born on the opposite side of the planet to 99.9% of studios.

You can. :) You are able to claim the drop later, apparently. It all depends on their expiration time, but you do not actually have to claim them as they pop up during the stream. It sounds as though the expiration might be generous enough, but even just 24 hours should do the trick for those of us in vastly different time zones.

These kinds of changes always feel uncomfortable when they happen, but we'll probably adapt quickly and maybe even prefer this system.

I mean, you have to do some extra clicks and it may take longer for the drop to appear in-game, but you do not actually have to keep loading up the game to see if the drop worked while the stream is ongoing.

If the expiration time is long enough, you might even just do a weekly claiming of all the accumulated drops. *shrugs* I just wish they did not start this off with something I actually want, because it raises the stakes. X3

Edit: Gah. I swear yours was the last post in this thread when I started typing. (Even though it was 6 hours old.) But now there are a huge amount of others, some explaining the same stuff. Ah, well. *slinks away, redundant*

Could you do this affinity thing again when Command Intrinsic is introduced? Because many of us were denied the chance to stock up on our intrinsics points previously. Thanks.

I don't think it was even possible to stock up on those points. You hit the limit to get everything ranked to max and no more points happen, no? At least those who who not yet have the other Intrinsics maxed out yet can seize this opportunity to catch up and be ready for the next step.

I really hope as well that there will be another affinity booster when Command drops. But that hasn't really been the case previously, has it? New stuff like that rarely comes with innate boosts. Probably to keep people busy longer.

  6. First impression for me of these changes is actually positive. For once! I usually had horrible visibility problems with the graphical updates in the past.

The thing is, I recently got a new monitor, which I calibrated properly. This made a huge difference to what I'd been seeing with my old setup (ten years old with some strange workarounds to reduce eye strain, sacrificing visibility in darker areas). So maybe, just maybe, a good portion (not all!) of the reported issues of "too dark" are to do with the settings people used to counteract the prior excess of brightness.

I do recall one update that made things crazy bright, and then a few that tried to alleviate the problem, but still left brightness issues. In response to this, I feel that over time we just got used to the brightness, or turned our screen settings way down (sadly making the dark areas way too dark in the process).

So now the star chart is no longer glowing like the brightest day; it is back to a more night-sky ambience. It really looks way more natural to me (and the location names better readable to boot). The first page of this thread has a before and after picture of the start chart and, genuinely, the after is worlds better, with proper shading and not blown out with light.

Conversely, I also see screenshots here that are way, way too dark. Got to wonder how that happened, since it is not happening for me when I visit the same spots. (Again, for once.) It has to be software rather than monitor settings as well, or the screenshot would not actually be affected this way (I think).

For reference, here's what I have for graphics settings in game:

    • Brightness 50
    • Contrast 50
    • Effects Intensity 97
    • Ambient Occlusion enabled
    • most everything else disabled or on low

So... pretty much low end defaults.

I will have to play more to see whether any extreme shifts in brightness will occur as they have in the past with certain settings. (Color Correction and Dynamic Lighting posed a bit of an issue previously, so I am happy leaving them off.) Have to see how Autoexposure plays out in the long run. I'll try to check on all the usually problematic spots. (Arsenal look okay so far; no sudden shifts of brightness and the true black in the Smoke palette is distinctly black against the shades of grey.)

Those were my fifty cents. I appreciate that the experience will vary greatly for everyone (since screens do that as a general rule). Just felt the good needed to be stated along with the bad to maybe better track down the issues affecting players.

  7. Definitely a deliberate design choice, although it is way overpowering to me. Anything but white or the lightest of light colours looks intensely purple.

I can work with it, but it limits our options rather severely. Since the new Nightwave skins work exactly the same, it would be a pity to have a whole set of skins that won't work with a non-purple or non-white colour scheme.

  8. Usually happens to me after I fought my Lich, but not exclusively then (maybe other people's Liches also trigger it?) and not always but perhaps once or twice for every ten thrall missions. (Sometimes it's every damned mission in a row, too.)

Dying did not fix it for me yet, but I will keep trying that. (That is such a weird thing to say...)

  9. When the man in the wall first appeared to me he DID scare the crap out of me. Mostly because he was glitching hard and only had a floating face without eyes or features. And having someone suddenly talking to you in a somewhat creepy voice can give you a start, most definitely. Visually, too, when he shows up it is a lot like the effect of a face popping up outside your window at home staring at you. Disconcerting and startling.

The good news is that one can get used to it happening. I have long since stopped paying attention to him and this works just fine, particularly since continued exposure teaches one's brain that this is not a threat one has to react to.

Of course, you can only guess at whether you will be okay throughout that "getting used to it" process though. It certainly is a pity that one cannot opt out later.

  10. Adaptive Exposure seems to be overreacting in the Arsenal since the materials update.

Basically, whenever you click on a colour, AE kicks in extra hard and the screen goes significantly darker. It will go back to what it was slowly, but anything to do with colour picking instantly makes things dark for a while again. This makes editing really difficult.

This occurs on the Arsenal screen when editing colours for weapons, frames, but also robotic companions. I think animals as well, although I can't swear to it.

A temporary workaround is to disable Adaptive Exposure in the options. However, in my case at least I can't really see the rest of the game well enough without AE, so it's a constant back-and-forth for me.

I really do hope this is going to be fixed eventually. Hell, I hope it even is on the team's radar. ^^

  11. This has been happening to me consistently since around the time of the materials update (and general lighting changes?). (Whatever it was that made everything look bleached. Still does, although less than after the initial update.)

Disabling Adaptive Exposure "fixed" the problem for me, so I guess it is just that calling up colour palettes now breaks AE a little. At any rate this could be a workaround for your fashion frame editing needs until this gets properly fixed (if it does).

  12. Did you use that gun to do the challenge? I mean, if you did, it simply stayed put because it checked for weapon compatibility but apparently not for capacity (the latter of which probably should be added).

If you remove the riven, things will likely go back to normal. They usually do.

  13. I believe you have to disable the legacy colours in your options for favourites to work.

Of course that means the colours will also no longer look quite the same. But this has been the standard for quite a while now and perhaps it is time to adjust to it. (I suppose it's the price of paying a live game, one that keeps changing.)

I hope something like this won't keep you from playing. After all, you can still select all your colours directly from your palettes. I need to do that more than half the time too since sadly we do not have enough favourite slots anyway... (Even though some were added recently. I think.)

  14. Happens to me for any frame I've tried with any kind of skin preview. Like Atlas with his Deluxe. Or Limbo Prime with any skin at all.

This definitely is a fairly recent development. I noticed it first with Harrow's new Deluxe. Which I bought anyway after seeing it on someone in a mission and the actual skin equips just fine. But previews are important for buying decisions.

And seeing how Harrow and Atlas aren't Prime skins this seems less about Primes specifically and more about anything that requires a skin replacement instead of just a texture overlay. It's like the preview suddenly "forgets" to remove the current skin. ^^

  15. Do you have Color Correction activated? Because I tried that briefly to see if it would help with my general brightness issues since the mainline and it caused crazy colouration changes like that.

But, yeah. Light/dark is hugely iffy right now.
