  1. Things are really iffy right now, huh?

I am using Adaptive Exposure and High Dynamic Range too, and if i turn either of them off, all whites turn so bright there is no detail on shadows, just these bright shapes.

I haven't noticed this affecting my abilities yet but to be honest I have not paid attention to that specifically. But it'd really hurt visibility to have to turn AE off...

Edit: Although now I switched AE off and everything is less bright in my orbiter. Seems almost like it was before the mainline update. This is confusing for sure.

Edit 2: I take the above back. The orbiter looks better with out AE, but the star chart and mission loading screen are way worse (bright as hell). I have not checked Orb Vallis yet...

  2. As far as I know, this is how most of the immortal skins work: a simple texture (not model) replacement without a toggle for prime details. Sadly. I was very disappointed myself.

I would personally love for this to get "fixed" but I doubt it is any kind of priority (if it's even considered a bug at all), since this has been an issue for longer than I've played the game. ^^

  3. That usually happens to me with excessive lag, or (far more likely) when I was interrupted doing something (like hacking a console while someone else was doing the same and finished first). A big old trail of loot following me around that I can't get. Also cannot operate buttons in that state. It seems the game in these cases thinks I am still doing whatever it was I was doing when the effect began.

If it keeps happening to you with such regularity, it'd be worth looking into what kind of action triggered it, what you were doing before/when it started each time.

  4. I wonder. That new trailer featured an aged operator... Maybe we will be our own space/void dads/moms. I do love the paradox that would pose. 😛

Plus I am a little sick of people easily manipulating us according to their own dark plans. If it was future variants of ourselves, at least it'd still be nominally us choosing our paths.

I'm pretty sure you just need to enable the prime details, also works just fine with tennogen skins.

Most skins of the Immortal series do not have that option to switch, if any. Certainly not mine. It's been a source of irritation. I would love to be able to get rid of the Prime details for Valkyr's Immortal skin.

  6. The Simaris skin for Helios has a little hologram in the middle of it (a little Simaris, if you will). Previously the colour of the hologram matched whatever the energy colour was edited to. But now this part (and only this) stays yellow no matter what is selected for energy/emissive. (Attachment colours are not helping affecting this either.)

Here are pics of the base skin and of my applied version:

  7. Update: I just tried again and finished the test with one minute and 30-ish seconds to spare. No special frame or mods or anything (and I am not that great a player.) So you can definitely do this. Just use practise to memorize where the spawn points are and the best routes between them. Keep checking the upper levels. I pretty much ignored the enemies, unless an orange one was in my path.

  8. I also run low settings and used to have problems with certain things in the tests (and the simulacrum) being barely visible. I fixed that by testing out some combinations of the graphics options. That took a while but it worked in the end. Not sure which ones made things work for me; old compie died since, so it's a little better now in general for me.

But as for the points, I am fairly sure they regenerate - I wish I knew how fast and what triggers it - because I picked some up from the same places in a single run.

Knowing what causes them to respawn would be extremely useful because in my actual attempt (as opposed to practise) I ended up with 99 points when the timer ran out. XD

  9. Valkyr here. It happens a lot. Seemed to start a day (or half a day) before one of the event hotfixes dropped. (I wish I could remember which it was. I think it may have begun the day before Buried Debts: Hotfix 24.5.2).

I have not noticed Nullifiers triggering this specifically. Sometimes it happens when Hysteria runs out or even when I 4 out of it. I will then be unable to switch weapons or use weapons, while appearing to hold the melee weapon stiffly in one hand. Running and bullet-jumping is possible, but no abilities.

The only fix I found to reliably work is entering and exiting Archwing (where possible), or dying (the only choice in non-flying missions).

[ Operator mode occasionally helps, but most of the time it won't activate at all in that condition, since abilities seem locked. (And I might be misremembering this, because I have a similar issue when switching back from a heavy weapon, although that's something different and affects all frames.) ]

Edit: Okay, so operator mode works, but it just goes back to the glitched Valkyr upon transferring back. A fix without dying has been the Archgun with Gravimag installed.

  10. Happens in the Arsenal too, not just on the plains/vallis. The jets will only accept the chosen colouring when hovering over the colour choice. Once selected, they go back to their default colours, while the rest of the board updates.

Also, can we please, for the love of all that is holy, get a better way to actually view the boards? In the Fortuna shop it is terminally dark so the build previews are pointless, plus the boards seem to all be upside down at a really bad angle. ^^
