  1. At a minimum, they do not accept modified bodies in tennogen, so it is likely that this is more appropriate in the Fan Art section. In the Fan Art section of the forum I also have a link to this topic.

    About "give up" - I do not have such a habit. If I had given up, I would not start to study 3D, and I would have missed a lot of what I know in life. If DE don't need talented people who don't live in Canada... then let them tell me about it themselves, and I will stop bothering them and find a studio in which there is no prejudice about employees at a distance.

  2. Thanks, I initially thought the same way, but I saw the information that they check this category on the forum before they start devstream. That is why I decided to publish here, apparently in vain. I think I should just duplicate the link to this topic in Tennogen. It will not be worse.

  5. The reasons (for DE and for whom it suddenly became interesting).

    I need a job, especially remote work. Since I have some sympathy for the warframe universe, I decided to try to start my career with DE. Maybe I can’t compete with professional 3D artists as their responsibility is not only to create models but also to partially prepare them for integration into the game... I don’t possess such knowledge in full, do not own yet, my self-learning is at a very high level. I first installed Zbrush in June 2018 and I couldn’t afford to spend a lot of time studying it, I still do not know what the program is capable of. But even if I cannot, for the reasons described above, take up the position of a 3D artist, I could well realize myself as a concept creator. I have a fantasy and I am able to embody it in a word, figure or model.

    I understand that I have chosen an unusual job search method, but now I don’t have much time and opportunity for a long "siege" of this or that studio. If DE is not interested in my candidacy, then I will be forced to turn my attention to other studios. I will find a job anyway. Hopefully DE will give me the answer. Positive or negative... any of them will allow me to move on.

    I know that I can do better, but at the moment my laptop is not capable of more. Therefore, I cannot demonstrate a more advantageous image with a scene and a character in the correct position (although I had a scene). In fact it was not my initial idea, but it turned out like this. I have several options that with minimal changes to the model could fully convert it. Everything you see was born of thought and immediately embodied. Not all at once, but the whole character was created in this way in parts. Without mediation in the form of sketches and other things.

    The project does not stand still. And I am more or less satisfied with my “progress”, as I in a very short time independently studied sculpture, working with textures and maps, and so on... given the fact that most of the teaching base in English and this is not my native language.

    Now I am trying to correct mistakes. Most likely the problem is in the normal map as there are several artifacts on the model, there are also some flaws in the seams, and problems with color - the color map does not respond to the alpha channel and these areas on the mask remain without color. It is also not entirely obvious how to transfer model material in to tennogen.

  7. A friend gave me a laptop... for a some time, but this is ok. The old hard drive was not damaged and I managed to transfer the necessary data. I will try to bring the project to its logical conclusion and load it into tennogen. In the first post I reloaded the image because all the links to the previous ones stopped working.

    Most likely this is due to the fact that they are matte in that image. In the luminous version, they may look different.

     

    As another option - the ornament can be replaced by "real" rings.

    It remains to understand how to load the model in tennogen. Unfortunately, when trying to work with a UV map, the program either gives an error without any description, or it just hangs. Most likely the laptop is simply not able to perform the operation, not enough RAM or something... As I understand it, I need to make a texture and a breakdown by color, but without the UV map, this cannot be done...

    I maximally simplified the inner part. And chose about this separation by color. I do not know about lighting elements ... are they needed in this model at all or not...

  11. Mmm, the previous topic was closed... but I would still like to somehow complete this idea... most likely in vain.

    Anyway, I think that the mask could be completed at this stage, if do not take into account the painting and perhaps some micro-details. Well, of course need to work out the inner part of the mask that is adjacent to the face.

    I have not forgotten about my works I just decided to take a break from the character models and make a presentation room for them. In the process of something like an altar / podium / tribune. Perhaps in the future somewhere there I will place my models. This is if someone is interested...

  13. To make it a bit clearer I will explain - this is the occipital part. I decided to make it in a different style on purpose, since (I repeat) I want to make the model interesting from all sides. I understand that most of the small parts are likely to be unnoticed if such a model will be in the game, but still ... I believe that this is correct and if I do something, then I will do it as well as possible.

    Yes, the work is progressing slowly because I'm working on the project purely with inspiration, without any other incentives. The front part was slightly modified but I did not consider it meaningful to show it.
