  1. This exact thing happened to me. The host was extracting and I didn't make it to extraction in time. After the host migration I was suddenly in my orbiter with a blank mission summary screen i.e. no stats, no weapons, no resources or rewards. I was in a survival arbitration for over a half hour and nothing. I had levelled a zaw that was back to the level it was at before the mission. No Ayatan rewards or the sharpshooter mod that I got on rotation B.

  2. Just had the Wolf spawn in a Kuva Siphon Rescue mission. One of the players was asking for someone to get the kuva siphon while we were busy with the Wolf. Well the rescue target followed the dude that went to the siphon. We downed the Wolf and the Saturn Six Mask dropped. Shortly after, the rescue target and the dude getting the kuva braids got downed. I made it the the rescue target before the dying animation started but still it was too late.

Got the Mask. Lost the Mask.

    Friggin bummer man.

  3. My wifi connection randomly timed out after 15 extractors two days ago. I was stunned. Omfg. Apparently I was connected to a neighbor's Xfinity open router and didn't realize it. Fortunately, I had all the Endo and Ayatans in my inventory. But still. And we we're half way thru our 16th extractor and decided we we're gonna extract after it was finished.

So I understand the feeling man. Super huge let down. Especially when those rewards aren't in your inventory.

and if you want to get the most loot possible, you go Nekros AND Hydroid.

... think that Nekros + Hydroid + Khora will be a thing, if everything stacks?

They recently patched the Nekros + Hydroid exploit. It says in the patch notes "... the dead can only give so much!" So unless they forgot to patch the same thing with Khora's new Augment, it seems each corpse will only yield one extra drop.

But still, with Nekros covering whatever Khora and Hydroid don't get, that's pretty darn good loot squad.

I enjoy playing Warframe, Nightwave just asks me to play the game. I see little problem here.

Now, if I did not want to play the game but still get stuff for showing up, then I would have a problem.

    This.

I like playing Warframe, simple as that.

Supposedly they capped his level in the most recent patch so he never shows up past level 60.

Though still I'd love to hear what weapons and mod loadouts people are using because apparently everyone on the forum either hates the Wolf for being a sponge or hates that he isn't spongier because they nuke him in 5 seconds >_>.

I use a gram prime 0 forma full crit IPS build with Cleaving Whirlwind. And no riven. So blood rush with damage, crit damage, attack speed and range. Spam broken bull. I just ran into him tonight and took him down in less than 10 hits.

I've tried a lot of other things too. I have 90 rivens and damn good ones for every zaw and almost every good melee weapon, and nothing I have tried so far works as well as the blood rush crit IPS gram prime build.

I've taken down a level 128 with that build too. And a few days before that we had a level 148 spawn and I hadn't discovered the gram prime trick yet. It took us 40 minutes to get his health to about 25%.

My backup is the catchmoon haymaker splat with an great crit chance plus damage riven along with cold damage. Built for radiation damage. But the gram works better. Lol.

So now I'm always rolling with the gram prime.

  7. When I get it tomorrow or sometime this week, I'm definitely not using it right away. I think the best advice would be to hold on to it - at least until the next Nightwave season. If the Umbral forma is going to be an end reward every season, than they'll be fairly common. At least it will be reasonable to assume we will get regular, albeit infrequent access to them.

For me, I don't main Oberon but I do like using him. So he was one of my first choices. But I use Frost a LOT. And my Frost Prime build is an Umbral build. But so is my Oberon, and Oberon benefits from Strength mods more than Frost does. So I'm a little stuck between these two, but I'm leaning towards Oberon. Not sure tho.

    This is why I'm waiting.

  8. If you run a near 100% status that is a great roll. The neg puncture will make it proc slash a LOT more, and those procs will be huge. There is a video on the forums of a guy one shotting level 300 Grineer in kuva survival with the opticor vandal, and the key was he had a negative puncture riven

  9. I was super stoked to get hildryn and find her a bunch of fun to play. This so far doesn't inspire me all that much but it's an early version designed for feedback. So I'll be patient. But if this were her final kit I'm not sure how well it would fit with the way I play, but that's just me.

What he's saying is that with his build, normally the neutron star ability has a 4m range, if he ranked up the mod he would increase his aggro to 8m.
But like you I use Umbral Intensify to hit the pwr str cap.

I see that. I guess my question has to do with wording. The way this Augment is worded mentions nothing about the the range at which Nova loses a null star. It only says that it does area blast damage with a guaranteed blast proc at 8 meters when she detonates them (the mechanic provided by this Augment). So my interpretation is that that the 8m range in the Augment only affects the function it provides: the blast damage area and the guaranteed blast proc when her null stars are manually detonated. This wouldn't affect the range at which they peel off, because this Augment does not affect that mechanic. She still loses a null star when an enemy is 12m away at base range.

The wiki confirms this, actually. I found the source I was looking for:

Maximized Ability Duration increases number of particles to 18.

    • Reduces range to 4.08 meters and explosion radius to 2.72 meters

So she still loses a null star at 4m (34% of the base 12m) with a fully ranked Narrow Minded. Using an unranked version of this mod only affects the explosion radius.

The range of stars flying out is more if the mod is maxed. I dont want to waste endo to max umbral stuff yet.

Can you source that, please? Because the null stars already fly off without the Augment and the wiki says nothing about that. All the range on the Augment affects is the area of a guaranteed blast proc.

"...doing 120 blast damage with a guaranteed proc in 8 meters."

So if you have a source that confirms what you are saying, I would appreciate it.

don't use the MP augment. The important thing is to NOT rank up that mod so you have very short range of aggro on your 1.

Can you explain? I assume you are talking about the Neutron Star Augment and I see you have an unranked one in your build.

I ask because I assumed the Augment only affects the range of the recast. So the range that it would take to lose a null star would be the same, 34% of base which I believe is about 4m.

Also, if you use Umbral Vitality and a fully ranked Umbral Intensify your build would get +55% power strength but without the loss to duration. With 301% duration Nova gets 18 null stars and 90% damage reduction.

  13. I've now had two different neg impact rivens for the Strad and man.... That stat makes such a huge difference. The first one I had was insane. Crit chance, multishot and neg impact. The one I'm playing with now is friggin great for grineer: Reload speed, Damage to Grineer, Crit damage with neg Impact. I also have a Crit chance crit damage riven. Unfortunately, I sold the first one a while back even tho it was my favorite weapons. Still have the other two (took me 120 rolls to get crit chance, crit damage one, thank you double resource weekend lol).

I run Hunter munitions on the Strad on almost every build and the reload, damage to Grineer, crit damage riven just melts Grineer. Taking away the impact procs already makes headshots WAY easier coupled with the nonexistent recoil. Then double dipping with the Bane stat on the riven makes watching slash procs a LOT of fun.

Rivens are definitely not needed on the Strad Prime but a solid negative impact one makes it an absolute stud.

  14. Stradavar was one of my favorite weapons and they definitely tried to avoid the power creep with this one. I was disappointed as well, except for the aesthetics. I love the way it looks. I was hoping for a bit more of an upgrade tho

  15. So I just fought him twice in the span of ten minutes. The first time he spawned in a kuva flood at level 127. (I fought a 148 for over a half hour with 3 other guys and we got him to about 25% health before our rescue target bled out). We took him down in 5 minutes and I was rocking a riven-less gram prime with a full crit straight IPS build. With Ash, and no outside damage buffs, I ended up doing over 60% of the mission damage and the red crits were huge. Biggest numbers by far that I have done to Wolfie.

The second time it was a kuva siphon. It was just me and I didn't even bother looking at his level because I had my trusty old (0 forma, btw) crit-IPS Gram prime with me. It took about 45 - 60 seconds to take him down.

Not sure what it means but it did the trick. Suffice to say I will be rocking the 0 forma gram prime for a lot of the rest of Nightwave. (I was recently gifted Fragor Prime - since then, I've gotten into slow, heavy weapons.)

Build was pretty standard: primed pressure point, primed reach, blood rush, berserker, gladiator rush (the crit damage one), organ shatter, true steel, drifting contact with Cleaving Whirlwind. (All mods max level, btw) I just spammed Broken Bull on him.

  16. So I decided to run Umbra all last night with his chromatic-blade-augmented exalted blade as radiation damage. Low and behold Wolf spawns during a kuva siphon. FYI - Exalted blade simply decimated him. He went down in just a couple minutes. So Excal's ultimate DEF works on Wolf. Now this wasn't the level 148 Wolf I encountered 2 days ago, but he still is a time-consuming bullet sponge nonetheless. So I was pretty stoked to see how well Exalted Blade handled him.

Well in another forum post, someone mentions that the Wolf's alt helmet is sentient made or is referenced as sentient (or something of the sort). Someone suggested he is a sentient augmented grineer, which would make him succeptible to Umbra specifically, and any other weapons that does bonus damage vs sentients. Perhaps any frame with Umbra mods will fare a bit better against him as well, with the Tau resistance factor?

I don't know, but it's worth thinking and speculating about....
