  1. I would vote 'no' just due to technical limitations.

There's a couple different ways this could be achieved, but in order to obtain satisfactory quality for all the clothing options on all the proposed body shapes, it would be a colossal amount of effort. In the end - even though it would be nice - I don't think it's important enough to warrant all that extra work.

A more realistic request would be having certain clothing options subtly alter your Operator's figure, which I think happens already. The Varida suit, for instance, makes the Operator look somewhat thicker than the more petite look achieved with Zariman.

Since then, I've abandoned any hope for Equinox getting any form of  revision (she doesn't even have a bloody model in tennofen ffs. Its been almost half a year since they said she'd be "coming soon". Hell, excluding chinaframes and the most recent frames, she's the only one with only one alternate helmet) from the devs, or from anybody with more than two neurons, so I just wonder around these forums and, whenever it seems fit, I throw a bitter remark about her situation.

Agreed -- Equinox is pretty high on my list of Warframes I'd like to see get attention. I tried quite a lot to shine some light on her issues while she was still new, but it didn't really work.

As you say, I think her biggest problem is how her kit seems to work against itself. She was designed to be this fluid, mutable Warframe who can function in any circumstance, but her kit seems to actively punish you for switching forms rather than encouraging it. Consequently, players will stick with one form or the other, and in the rare occasion they do transform, it's like a big deal -- not the fluid gameplay that was intended.

However, Equinox isn't even on the radar, and the rotating wheel of revamps gets longer every time another superfluous redundant Warframe is added to it. Realistically it will be literal years before she gets a good look from the devs.

But this topic isn't really about her, so apologies.

  3. Hydroid's the worst example of a Warframe DE's forgotten, in my opinion.

As far as I know, his mechanics have barely been touched - the only thing I recall recently was the change to Pilfering Swarm, which is a change to an Augment, not the Warframe itself. Hydroid's gotten zero attention. No PBR, no cloth physics, not even an Immortal skin.

It's a natural consequence when the developers focus so heavily on spewing out more and more new Warframes that older ones will slip between the cracks, and the high quality of the new Warframes almost makes the game look worst because there's this positively massive disparity and inconsistency in quality of Warframes.

I don't even have Hydroid, but I would love to see him get a re-work.

(Also, before posting, remember that non-Tenno weapons like the Tonkor or Sonicor will never be primed due to their Grineer or Corpus origin; Tenno weapons only plz :P )

    Hmm... I wonder about that...

Let's not forget that she may be released alongside a Prime item that's not a weapon... for instance Volt Prime came with Odonata Prime. Or perhaps she will only have a single weapon and something else...

The player base will generally look at developers as having loads of cash to waste instead of considering the [sometimes very harsh] realities of business.

DE did not release the Hema because they wanted to trend the game towards short-term, short-sighted cash-grabs that would result in less long-term profits and a divided, angry, and eroding player base.

I don't see many people talking DE's strategy.

So actually, yes, it's exploring simple ways to satisfy players with a buy to further fund the game.

Well, for starters, I'm under that impression because the developers themselves have stated that they're financially secure at this point. Assuming they don't do commit a long sequence of disasters, they have no fear of going under like they used to.

Secondly, I doubt you'll find many people that would call the way Excalibur Prime was handled 'satisfactory' and this is coming from someone that has him. This idea is precisely what Prime Access is for, the only difference you've presented is the permanent exclusivity, which is generally received very negatively.

At the bottle of the new guidelines it lists that the changes are not retroactive. Any removal of old points will be handled on a case by case basis

Pretty sure that line is just meaning that mods can't go combing through ancient posts and deciding they don't adhere to the new guidelines and issue a warning.

Anyway, my warning was rubbish in the first place, so I'll definitely message Danielle in a week when I reach my anniversary.

  7. If I had to take a wild guess, I'd say it's a ducat sink. Perhaps players are amassing too many ducats, so introducing a little RNG into spending them may trick players into wasting a lot.

Alternately, it could just be an honest attempt to make Baro more attractive. It's well-known people complain no matter what he brings, so they wanted to try something new -- people like new Prime items, so maybe giving him a new Relic...?

  8. Speaking generally, weapons with high critical chance have much higher damage output than those without. Lucky for you, the two mods required for critical based weapons - Point Strike and Vital Sense - are both very easy to max out!

I'd recommend looking into weapons with a high critical chance, such as Soma Prime or Paris Prime. Make sure you have Point Strike and Vital Sense on in addition to Serration, Split Chamber, and your elemental mods, and you'll be just fine.

Could argue you have... black tinted goggles or something... Yeah...

I'm not saying that all previous quests have been good, I wasn't really basing my ''it was far from a good quest.'' on a comparison to Warframes older quests, but rather I based it on how much fun I had playing it.

I enjoyed the first mission, it was new and hella interesting having the colony folks to defend. The rest of it was the same mission over and over again with minor variations, that's not a quest, that's a grind.

I miss the good old days when a quest was spelt with a capital 'Q' and took several days, a crate of beer/cider, at least 4 adventurers and several stops to laugh at the Druid carrying all the loot as a pack mule *sigh*.

Fair enough. I do agree that I didn't have fun playing it either, but I respect a lot of the good work that went into the Quest, and I think they did a great job with the new content it brought. In terms of work done by the devs, I think Glast Gambit is one of the best Quests, it just faltered a little with how it was delivered. Every Quest struggles with how it can be prolonged -- I appreciate that they're exploring different ways and have moved past forcing you to wait 12 hours between segments while you wait for parts to build.

Going back to my original statement though, I definitely think new players wouldn't feel the grind so hard if they were experiencing The Index for the first time. I think a lot of us that burned ourselves out during The Index Preview probably wouldn't have fun with Glast Gambit, but that doesn't make it bad design in my opinion, since future players won't have that experience.

But before the Glast Gambit we also got the Sands of Inaros, it had its low sides but it offered something unique. What your asking is to lower our standarts basically comparing the Glast gambit with the first quests that were pretty meeeh.

Sorry but i cant do that, Quest should be special not just same mission with a trace of story.

What did Sands of Inaros offer that was so unique?

It offered a new tile (the temple) which was smaller than the new tile seen in Glast Gambit (Myconian colony) and a few unique enemies (Tomb Guardian/Sand Shadow) which were just Warframe specters; considerably less interesting than the Corpus Brokers. Aside from that, Sands of Inaros was just farming certain enemies.

Glast Gambit offered more character development (Neewa, Glast, and Nef, as opposed to just Baro) and a unique branching choice at the end. Admittedly, not an especially impactful choice, but still more than Sands of Inaros offered. Additionally, the involvement of the Myconian colony and hearing random civilians react to your Warframe was really amazing and immersive - something I would say Sands of Inaros doesn't have anything to compare to.

I don't think Sands of Inaros was vastly superior to Glast Gambit.

I personally feel like that's still an issue. Games themselves shouldn't be dull otherwise they're failing in their intended purpose of ''entertainment'', quests that come once in a blue moon should be the least dull parts of the game.

I would still consider it the least dull part of the game -- I meant dull compared to other Quests. Even then, I think rose-tinted goggles prevent you from seeing the quality of older Quests like the Mirage and Maroo ones which offered almost literally nothing new.

Even at its most tedious moments, I was highly motivated to complete The Quest to see how it concluded, which is more than I can say about any non-Quest related addition to Warframe.

  12. Honestly, I think Glast Gambit was only a chore for us because we had already experienced The Index Preview. It was old and stale from all of our farming back then.

I always encourage people to think in a very macroscopic, global view -- in the grand scheme of things, a new player will have no experience with The Index, so experiencing it for the first time in that Quest would probably be awesome. Playing it multiple times wouldn't be such tedium either since you would enjoy seeing all the different Broker teams.

I mean, it would still be a little dull probably, but it wouldn't be the torture you make it sound like.
