Again, by the same token, I want to know exactly what scientific method you have to suggest that the "vast silent majority" absolutely loves all the changes. Please, do show us.

I am not making that claim, just that we cannot validate their claim. Also burden of proof lies with the person making the claim not the one refuting it.

That is not an example of confirmation bias in the slightest. However, DISMISSING such samples, without replying with any justified, demonstrably provable reason of why they'd not be representative, is an example of confirmation bias: one is rejecting evidence without any grounds beyond that it contradicts the viewpoint one wishes to reinforce.

And no, "sample size" isn't a valid reason: anyone who's heard the story of the "Literary Digest Poll" will learn that past a couple hundred responses or so, sample size on its own has negligible effect.

No offense meant, but that IS a lot of irony.

It is an issue when pulling from a single group like say a single group of facebook friends. It is like going to a conservative website and asking how they feel about socialism and expecting it to be an accurate cross section of everyone.

it was an open *survey which every one in the group could participate in and it was a poll asking how they felt about the recent changes and how they wanted various things to change . It isnt a significant potion of the community but it is what it is. The amount of posts on here say almost the same thing and that says a lot

Do you know what confirmation bias is? Look, I'm not saying your opinions are wrong. I even agree with a fair amount of them just that we shouldn't make claims about what we think the majority of the community thinks.

I am a member of the biggest warframe group on facebook and a former member of the biggest warframe xbox one group both with thousands of players. Believe me when i say people arent happy. i also took a survey of sorts before making this post

And exactly which scientific polling method did this survey use and what percentage of the community did you poll?

Don't get me wrong, submitting feedback is wonderful and helps to shape the game but claiming that yours or anyone else views represent the majority should not be done.

And what about region chat? And every other place where Warframe is discussed, like Social Media? Are you gonna say that "everyone saying stuff doesn't represent what people REALLY think"?

That's just plain silly, implying that just because everyone who IS saying something is saying X, then EVERYONE who's not talking must think the opposite.

That's basically just a cheap way to try to demean something stated by someone.

It is nothing of the sort. It is just stating the facts. The fact is that people that are fine with the direction and systems of the game don't complain and that we should be cautious about saying that popular opinions on the forums represent the majority of players when there is no way to validate that claim.

If you think I was demeaning or disregarding their feedback that is on you.

  6. Just came here to let everyone know that a focus rework is currently under way and will include integration  of the new void powers added in TWW.

Also we need to keep in mind that the forums and Reddit represent nowhere near the majority of Warframe players. We are the vocal minority.

If it turns out that Nidus really can infect players that have never even done the quest, then yeah, I'm done.  Playing with others, at least.  Until there's a cure/immunity/way to opt out of that.

Call me crazy, I don't care.  Being infected with something I can't get rid of is not "fun" or a game to me.  I have never enjoyed, or taken part in, "spread the plague" events in any game I've played.

Rufus:  I answered that above, IMO.  Another example would be the difference between a factory-built airplane and an effigy assembled from logs and palm fronds by a South Pacific cargo cult; they may have somewhat similar outward forms, but one can't make the latter work like the former, any more than you can go out into the woods and find a wild Volkswagen.

Warframes are intelligently designed and manufactured to serve a purpose, a function.  Infested forms are mostly clumsy flopping grotesqueries that only spread the plague.

Tell that to the people Rhino ate. Anyways, that room has to do with an upcoming quest and will add a new mechanic likely related to the Warframe and their connection to the infested. De isn't likely to make changes that would undermine the lore based off of the concerns of a very small minority of the player base. If you want to ignore it maybe block it off with decorations and stop playing the quests.

I never understand why people insist on using Steam.  It is horrible software.  I download Warframe direct and stay away from that trash.

It is an easy way to buy games, track sales, play/communicate with friends, manage installed and uninstalled games. The overlay isn't that bad either.

Why it can't it be a quest that reward us the part blueprint with a lore of Nidus?

Nidus is a infested frame that pop up without any lores, its birth and how it was become a relic of an Old War. There is nothing about it until the end of Glast Gambit quest which just give you a Nidus blueprint and whole thing just stopped there.

Now it is forcing us to play a Infested Salvage with a bullS#&$ RNG that is more wasting time, Rot C drop with other lousy rewards mix in, more bugs happen than the infested can win over it??

The lore is in the quest. The girl uses a weakened version of the technocite virus derived from the Orokin relic that was his blueprint. Combine that with the other lore that indicates all Warframe are made of technocite and I am not sure how much more you want.

So here's the thing, and I'm sure I'm a minority but I'm equally certain I'm not the only one:

I want nothing to do with the Infested besides killing them.  I own no Infested weapons, I keep Infested material in my inventory only because it's impossible to sell or otherwise get rid of, and I absolutely will not be getting the new Warframe, ever.  I've been wishing for the option to get rid of the growths around that door on my ship since they appeared, and my feelings have not changed - if anything, they've gotten stronger - now that we've finally gotten a look at DE's plans for it and the chamber of horrors that lies beyond.

What I would like ... scratch that, what I would consider acceptable is a tick box in the menus, or a decoration you can buy cheaply like the holiday lights or something (or expensively - I will pay millions of credits for this, gladly!) that removes the Infested growths and noises from your (my) Orbiter.  Let me cleanse it with fire, as I've been wanting to for months.  Let me be free of the cancer, at least in my own 'home'.

Oh man, you are going to be upset once you figure out what the Warframe are made out of.

His reply was far far away from being a fanboy. I think somebody forgot the worst frame to farm - hydroid. Honestly i don´t like to play until rot C if its not a prime part, but this is not that bad compared to hydroid or the old AW int changes ( BPs from market in rot C  + void keys, cores, natural talent, elytron parts), old salacia 2 points Def with broken enemy scaling. Sure it takes time because DE ran out of bosses so they have to throw the new frames in droptables of other stuff.  Volt - surv, banshee - def, mesa - completely random mutalist coords, hydroid #&]load of beacons for keys, nezha sorties ----> everything turned into the favour of new players, so you can play and pray or w8 till some of the changes happen (might take some time or even never going to happen). Pick your decision.

    Anyway, Merry Christmas!

Technically, Vaubaun would be the worse to farm being alert only. Equinox also requires twice as many parts as every other frame. Chroma required you to farm other frame parts to build his parts and Banshee easily trumped both before she got moved to the labs. Hell, I remember when frame parts were drops that would randomly drop through the map. People don't know how easy they got it and how much DE actually has done to reduce grind and make gameplay more diverse. They just see a new thing and think it should be theirs in spite of the fact that this entire game is built around collecting and grinding.

Anyone else remember how expensive the sibear was to research? i wasnt an avid heiracon farmer but i had waaay less than the required cryotic even for ghost clan status. Feels like that all over again except not as easily obtainable. i have 3000 mutagen samples after over 3000 hours and tens of thousands of infested kills. still nowhere close

Sibear was expensive but Criotic is really easy to farm. Mutagen on the other hand is a far rarer drop.

  13. So Steam handles the legal side of the transactions as well as paying the designers. Its a lot more work for DE to handle that stuff in house when they can just have Steam handle it. Sorry man, it isn't likely to happen with the PC version of Steam.

Now I'm curious: Can you buy steam workshop items on the steam version of Warframe, and then uninstall steam and use the workshop items in the steamless Warframe?

You have to manually tie your Steam account to your Warframe account and I believe that is what authenticates what items you own through Steam not the actual Steam program so theoretically yes.

They never said the Frost`s Delux Skin would come out by the end of the Year. Zephyr`s Delux skin will come out first, you probably confused it.

Nah they said they were shooting for Frost next. They said they were trying to squeeze it in before the end of the year but weren't sure they were going to make it. Probably just because Frost is more popular and the skin generated a lot of excitement where Zephyr is one of the least popular frames and hers was received with mixed feedback.

how manu people play Zephyr? Oberon? I mean, people play them, but copmared to Rhino/Loki etc. I see warframe rivens as a way to give these not-so-cool frames a way to be used more often than just a pond of pee on a point on interceptions...(hydroid)

There are a lot less frames than weapons. They should be rebalanced individually.

    6 hours ago, AdunSaveMe said:

There's been some requests for them, some talk about them, and datamined info that suggests them. But they would not be a good thing.

The main point of rivens, according to DE, was to make older or weaker weapons worth dusting off. But you don't need this for Warframes. There is no Cronus in the Warframe roster. There is no Seer. Why would anyone WANT Warframe rivens aside from imbalance? What's the point of adding them except to get more plat sales?

It'd just be power creep. Don't support the idea. Weapon rivens can work, Warframe rivens cannot.

DE said 2 devstreams ago that if they did ever do it it would be a long way off but they weren't planning on it right now. As for the data mines stuff, it may just be junk data from an earlier iteration of rivens.

Also, it's really hard to say anything about it without knowing implementation plans. As far as we know Warframe Riven mods wouldn't include strength, duration, energy and range and may just be buffed exhilus mods.

    Hey Tenno!

Thank you for your feedback on the recent Sari Syandana changes. To recap, 19.4.2 altered it's open/close functionality as follows:

    • Changed Sari Syandana and Spitfire Syandana to be closed by default, but will open when Bullet Jumping or Aim Gliding. Appendages will now close after 5 seconds, during weapon fire, or when opening the menu.

The intent of these changes were related to functionality during combat, and the complaints that we received of the wings hindering visibility. Currently the wings are closed by default, but we understand that the overall appeal and cosmetic value of the Syandana is in its wings. It's a unique item with a unique function that is new to us, so we will be adjusting it in the near future to have the wings stay open by default in non-mission environments (Landing Craft, Relays, Dojo, etc.).

As always we welcome constructive feedback, and appreciate your patience as we work on improving this awesome Tennogen addition.

Has any thought been put into a toggle either through a key bind or just a reverse functionality like the tap/hold option for certain powers?
