  1. For all who claim Banshee + Redeemer being the solution, its not!

I just did the simulcron testing of the Mr 9 challenge and i was using banshee prime (Max enemy radar) and redeemer prime (max range), first two zones sure, easy peazy, snipe from start, no problem what so ever. Third zone, had to drop down first to make the enemies spawn, then jumped back up, ran back to where the ramp is, hid behind there, did some amazing long range sniper shots from behind partial cover of the ramp, i mean shots over 100 meter, but i still got detected by mobs that were hardly in render range...

    Something is really broken here...

  3. It only takes a few minutes to do some mission and then realise; "hey i could be doing way better stuff than this" and still finish the mission and have made some progression, even if you Alt + F4 out imediately afterwards.

edit: Meaning this game is super casual friendly! There is no real end game and no hardcore mode so anything really goes!

  4. Who even cares? I've yet to encounter any kind of content that requires me to have Umbra Forma's installed....

What is this nonsense? You dont need Umbra's, you dont even need arcanes or BiS mods and still be able to do 99% in this game.

Dont stress yourself with chasing Umbra's when in all reality there's no need to have them, just enjoy the game, not the rat race.

  5. As a closing chapter, I've run out of will to keep levelling. I'm now mr 7 and on Uranus and i just cant bring myself to play anymore. Uranus is dreadfull with all those submergable missions.... no one is going to go through that and think; "yeah hey thats what i always wanted to do to waste my free time...". Missions are dreadfull (map indicator gets completely screwed when in underwater missions) , gameplay is horrid, i give up, from this point on i would not have been playing had i been a new player. So i wont be, going back to login in once a day, maybe do a mission or two and most likely just instantly trash the riven i get cuz it has stupidly dumb requirements to unlock. It was fun.

    Closing notes:

    • As a very wise Tenno before me already pointed out is that for newbies credits are hell..
    • I found most weapons incredibly annoying, the quirks they have early on cant be negated because the mods arent there or just not up to scratch. Newbie weapons shouldnt be so polarized imho.
    • Three day waiting period on frames, 24 hours on weapons? Really? I'm gonna go try POE
    • Need a much smoother landing for new players, this is way too rough, just get dropped into the game with no, or very little explanation.
    • We need a resource sink for advanced/veteran players, way to much oxymorin and gallium and trillibute and what have you... doesnt matter a fidge to me anymore on my mr 20, but my mr 7... its mana... We really need, I think, something that makes resources have some meaning to veterans aswell.
    • Trading is cumbersome and very offputting, an auctionhouse sort of thing, or anything thats within the game would make it much more accessible.
    • Just came to me, something I've encountered before is some sort of mentor program. I know, dont give too big a presents away but somehow try and get the many vets that already try to help newbs everyday some sort of formal platform to do so.
    • Early on there is really nothing but clearing the starmap or doing POE... Nightwave/alerts/fissures etc are all out of reach. Including all the rewards that come with it.
    • Valkyre Spectre is soo OP its not even funny, that stargate was the worst, sure max rank hek and rhino blew through but my volt/braton stood no chance.
    • Simple game principles arent explained at all, like how to exit an endless fissure. Many times I've seen people just abandoning a team because they didnt know how to extract from a mission. Reminder, this is low mr players, noobs, not veterans. They get nothing, they arent coming back.
    • If i could, I would have an entire specific set of challenges made for every star, Earth would be about survival, Mars about parkour, Uranis about drowning, etc. I really think the commonality of tasks through the entire starcharts cheapens the feel.

That's 100 percent backwards from what most people have said. I know of nobody that played alerts just "because". The only ones worth doing were the ones with rewards you actually wanted. Why play this 10 minutes survival if all I'm getting in 500 plastids? You can get more just playing the regular node. There's a reason alerts were complained about because of the randomness of the rewards.

Thats 100 percent made up statistics, people you heard never said anything like that because you didnt ask new players, only old jaded ones that reverb your sentiment about Nightwave. Yes I did play alerts just because they were there when i started, I played alerts just for funny hats for frames or crappy blueprints for even crappier weapons but it gave instant acess to group play. I played them because they were there.

The reason alerts were complained about was 100 percent because of entitled people feeling they had to have access to all the shineys all the times, wether online or not. They dont care about playing the game, only getting the rewards, Hence the whining about third party mobile apps etc... False sense of entitlement!

Now, i could go on and argue with you about the benefits of Nightwave over alerts all day but as this isnt genereal discussion but the feedback sections, and I'm giving feedback about the new player experience. Try and stay on topic please.

  7. Okay, lets go through some of your responces and questions, great to see soo much excitement about early gameplay!

So yes, i do understand that server populations are time and region dependant. I play in Europe, all hours of the day, dont ask me why...

What i seem to remember from alerts is that it was a quick and easy way to get some loot, if you needed it or not is a second but most likely others would also be much more likely to just click on an alert and say "hey lets go play with some random people, lets do an alert"... So it was better than Nighwave as I got into groups much easier, learned much more just from looking at the other players and it didnt take 6 hours to level a Braton mk1 because i have to do everything alone, no shared affinity. Not to mention all the weeklies etc i couldnt do because i hadnt done certain quests or unlocked certain areas slowed everything down even more... If i didnt know what i had been doing I would never ever have continued playing this game at that point. Alerts and Nightwave should co-exist; for new players alerts were just better.

Hope this clears that up. This is about new players... It used to be much easier to socialize, play this game whenever you felt like it and make some progress, now its a timegated S#&$ty mess. People who got angsty because they HAD to have an unofficial app or miss out on shineys.... What is your problem? Why do you think that you deserve every last single shiney that pops up in any and all games? If you are not online at the time, tough luck! If a classmate in kindergarten gave out treats for her birthday but i didnt get any because i was at home sick, they didnt have a care-package for me when i got back or call me at home informing me.... Come on guys.

Also another thing Ive found out that is that resources really are scarce when you rerol! Its fun as hell thinking where to spend that last orokin cell or where to get more plastids? I think that is why soo many people complain about so called "endgame and content drought" is that they forgot what it was like to play without all your ultra cool frames and uber mega weapons trivializing everything, it was pretty bloody hard as a newbie! Warframe takes dedication, not just learning how to google but also fighting, parqour, resource management and the whole new lingo. So yes you feel like everything is too easy, you have all the shineys that make it so!

Left for endgame or content drought... try rerolling a new account, its mad fun!

  8. As an experiment i very recently started a brand new account. I wanted to see what it is like coming up through the ranks at this time and boy its not pretty. Yes, i'm having a blast starting anew, juntion spectres are really hard and stuff, way better than any endgame...

My god have i been challenged these last few days, S#&$ty frames with no mods and even worse guns do someting impossible and we will add a time limit etc... Trust me, its no easy picknick for a new player these days.

Trust me when i say: "alerts were better than nightwave".

"The starmap? Its empty, i hardly ever get into a party with anyone wherever i go... in my mind things were different... I could always pick any node on any map and there would be people to play with... RIP

Only people i meet are other rerollers who stuffed their new accounts full of prime stuff.... Yes i did aswell, i gave myself an Orthos Prime! And thats it, i havent taken a taxi anywhere, going at the speed the game allows and all i find is that "alerts were better....

Well, it's time for a mainline like that. It was time a month ago, so much more right now.

DE needs to release Railjack asap, needs to release content.

    According to whom?

Dont like the ice cream flavours the shop has to offer?... dont buy the ice cream!

"DE needs..." according to whom? "Needs"? Are you that starved?

    Good lord...

Glad to Hear you're enjoying something in the game we all play and (for the most part) love.

Oh, and don't mind the negative comments here. They're just posted by folks who know they are a dying breed, and wish to have their voices heard one last time before they fade into deep and terrifying darkness of obscurity. (Like the folks that didn't want any more Tile-sets in the early days, or the ones who thought 7 Frames was enough, etc.)

This has been one of the benefits of Nightwave for me as well. Even the dreaded gild an item got me crafting kit guns (although I’m glad that they removed it as well)

Im really tired of this ! very frustrating!

So dont do them, my god the amount of whining and complaining on these forums sheesj..

  12. Personally i love Rhino! Sure i hardly play him anymore and havent even bothered to fully upgrade my Rhino prime since he was unvaulted but why is there this hatred towards him? All this "its a crutch frame" stories trying to belittle newer players that are overwhelmed by the whole WF experience as is. Rhino helps players get their foot in the door. Yes later on they will need to learn more and understand the more intricate delicies and ways that WF has to offer but come on...

When early on, Rhino made me not quit right away! Its daunting to say the least, i still find out new things daily and rhino gave me that room to make mistakes and learn. And as many have pointed out, hardly anyone stays a Rhino main for very long, its helps you through the starchart but after that, you'll eventually and automatically branch out. Its a solid frame, easy to get, has some decent powers without being completely dependant on them so you feel levelling weapons has a purpose etc..

Why not just celebrate this frame for what it is!? Many players' first love and most definately a frame that kept players playing... How is this a bad thing? I say we need a national Rhino day and no more of these posts that somehow reek of elitism.

So I have some frames which I like a lot.  But I have been playing solo.  Not because I think I suck.  I actually do Ok for the most part.  I'm getting the hang of modding and such.  But I'm still mercury level.  But I can complete all the waves of a defense without much issue.

My intimidation comes with playing With others.  I have only geouped once and I think the person looked at my frame and then they imediaty aborted the mission.  Maybe they saw that I'm not fully modded or something. I usually use Zephyr or Wisp as my mains.  Wisp a little more if I am playing with others because I can offer more support.

I love zephyr though.  But people log in. And then log out.

So now I just play solo.  Im kind of nervous to join others.  Which is making this a single player game.  Which is not what I wanted. I want to play with others.

    Any advice.

Ps. I'm not horrible. Im friendly and I dont afk experience drain people.  I like to get into the action

I'm not the greatest player in the world, actually I'm very average, if you want to slowly ease into the whole multiplay thing just look me up ingame. I'll gladly team up with anyone who's hesitant.

Nobody suggests that you can/should build Rhino *instantaneously* as soon as you unlock that node. He's simply a good early-game frame that isn't locked behind any intense grinds or syndicate rep walls. You should be continuously working your way through the starchart - all of the planetary junctions are "early game." So just keep playing and get those junctions unlocked. You've barely started the tutorial 😛

I did, like I said I was already helping out another newb in the squad. But this dude kept screeching for everyone to shut up and just stay away.

I said that for now we should all go to the areas together and that we could just hang around outside, instead of all rushing to different objectives because people might get lost in the map and have trouble finding the way. He said something about anyone who can't find the way being stupid.

My preference for helping with spy is to trail behind them, and take out the lasers or enemies so they can learn the routine. If things start to go south then I can step in. But this dude didn't want that, kept talking about how good he is at spy missions, to let him do it, to stop messing it up for him, you know the drill.

Fair enough, you can only lead them to water, cant make them drink.

Honestly i'd dump that kind of player aswel.
