I keep failing the first mission immediately after they breach my hull no npc cremates. really considering quitting warframe this railjack mode makes no sense and why is the first mission so hard. any advice am i missing something obvious

I started my own clan just for fun, but now that railjack is out and im the only member id rather join someone else. ive tried to select leave clan but it wants me to promote someone but im the founding warlord there is no one else. Ive searched though the rest of the forums and didnt get a definitive answer. help would be appreciated thank you.
