  1. I like freedom of choice, (I'm a libertarian!) but a part of me was hoping people would be forced to interact in clans for empyrean. I don't think there's anything wrong with an expansion that just focuses on one aspect of the game, like one for clans, one for conclave, etc.

I actually think a little more focus a couple of times a year would be good for warframe as a whole, even if a particular update wouldn't be for ME specifically, like conclave. PvP in warframe can die in a fire, imho but I really think a little more focus on specific areas would be good for the game as a whole.

  2. Jumping in here to say that this railjack phase 1 is content released the RIGHT way. Haven't bothered with the kuva lich thing; still waiting on the dust to settle on that one. OP is subjectively wrong, from my perspective. This is a good update half update, whatever you want to call it, and I want to see more content rolled out like this that is a resource sink, forces people to slow down and take their time and lets us build/participate in something instead of the magic wand being waived and "voilla! things!".

  3. I was shocked at how low the costs were, personally. That's not some elitist BS, mind you. I just really expected something of this magnitude to have cost waaaaay more than it did. In fact, I've been super impressed by the whole rollout. THIS is how you should do content. It seems perfectly reasonable on all fronts, gives us something to spend our resources on and I just personally want to tip my hat to DE on this one.

To put the "credit problem" in perspective, I spent one evening after work and made 10 mil this past Friday night. Got a guy that's re-designing my dojo for me, he asked for some credits, I had like 40k on me. One EVENING and I had 10 mil to dump in the guild vault. There's simply no way that "casuals" can't come up with 6 in a reasonable amount of time. There is no way. I'm starting to think some of these complaint posts are just trolling at this point. How it is even possible to have the MR level some of these folks claim and not be able to make 1 mil in a single hour of doing pretty much anything beyond staring at your belly button is completely beyond me.

In fact, when I get home this evening, I think I'm going to take a screenshot, play an hour, and then post another screenshot for contrast. Marking this thread for a follow-up. Proof where the puddin is.

What if I told you your left hand can be your primary one.

Lulz! Not sure what that has to do with needing to remap buttons. It's not exactly a disability. I will say that's an interesting premise though, that maybe all this forum ire is from southpaws. OP, are you left handed by chance?

  5. Archmelee needs the same treatment. It's fundamentally useless right now. I know folks have a bad habit of being hyperbolic on the forums about THEIR issue, but you're spot on. Glaives and archmelee are fundamentally dead, so we just need to keep eyes on it, so they can adjust it, through effective constructive posts like this! That being said, this should probably be in the feedback forum, so they see it.

  6. Warframe is a power fantasy game. If I'm not powerful and able to have some mindless fun, then I'll go to the next game that does offer that.

Imagine that you booted up a Mario game, for a moment but instead of controlling a couple of adorable Italian plumbers and jumping on the heads of some turtles, you were presented with a quiz show and the game made you spin a wheel and then whack some moles with a mallet. Would you be fine with that? You bought into playing a Mario game, but the other players decided they wanted a whack a mole wheel spinning simulator instead, so, sucks to be you!

Or if you buy some cheese from the store, open it up, and it's actually a yogurt wheel instead, because the other customers said they thought a yogurt wheel would be fun.

Or a pony. Only you get a cat. Because reasons.

There is nothing wrong with any of those things, but when you buy a product, you expect that product. There's nothing wrong with adding features to a product. A toaster with a clock on it? Cool! Long as it browns my toast, I'm fine with that.

What you are proposing is making another game, changing the fundamental core and purpose of the product, but still keeping the original products name.

You can add things like frame fighter to the game. What you can't do, is make frame fighter THE game. Then it's no longer Warframe, it's Frame Fighter. Warframe is not, nor should it ever be the Loadout Management Simulator.

  7. I wish we had a ui change so we could see the combo counter without having to look away from the action to some tiny numbers on the edge of the screen. It's far more pronounced for those of us that are playing on ultrawides, despite the ui scale increase. The minimalist ui is a nice aesthetic,  to be sure, but not entirely functional.

  8. This happened to me too... I wound up making a new account, as per the one I'm posting on. I had never sold a flippin thing in all the years I played. I entered the Riven market, sold my first couple of things and then was slapped with a negative plat balance... After a month of waiting, all I got back from customer service was basically suk it trebek with the usual canned response stuff. I had literally thousands of dollars spent at that point, so it wasn't like I was some free to play rando. I moved to Wildstar for about a year, then that glorious game went under and I made this new account, so here I am, again, dumping money into the game. After a year of being bitter about it, I realized that they were serious when they say it's their game and not yours in the EULA and I could either thank pappy for slapping me around, or leave. I, like so many other abused people, chose to stay, but don't kid yourself about getting those charges reversed. If they wouldn't do it for me, a vet since the beginning, they darn sure won't do it for you. Sorry hoss. Good news is that Destiny 2 is free to play(ish) now.

  9. I run 3 Acer Predator XB271HK monitors at 144hz refresh rate minimum https://www.amazon.com/Acer-Predator-XB271HK-bmiprz-Widescreen/dp/B018MYTF4W IPS via displayport. I can't really stand playing at 60fps on anything. Once you go high refresh rate, you seriously have a hard time dealing with 60fps again. Regular 4k monitors are just sickeningly slow feeling. I hear the 4k 120hz monitors fix that, but have no personal experience with them. That being said, turn off motion blur and turn off or down the lighting bloom. I have particle effects set to their highest setting, but it definitely hinders me when the whole team is in an area wailing on a boss with stuff lighting everyone. Not because my rig has any slowdown mind you, but but because all the lighting effects make it hard to see where the target is on screen. That being said, it's a small price to pay for that "WoW!" factor after you play other games. Graphics are a subjective experience to be sure, but I honestly can't stand to watch my son play on his 60hz 4k monitor, gives me headaches after a while by contrast. I've seen people online saying there's no difference, but I'm pretty sure those opinions are coming from folks that simply haven't experienced higher refresh ratings.

Long story short, you have to determine if refresh rating is your goal or quality and then we can help dial ya in!

  10.  As a small business owner myself, I can relate to the notion that you catch more flies with honey. That being said, customers are within their rights to expect a particular lack of quality and deadlines.

Don't forget we are customers and they are selling a product, to those that aren't just free to play anyway. When I buy a prime access that I didn't have to, because I feel the game is worth it, part of that contract is trusting that they're going to keep people engaged, to handle the marketing and keeping other customers happy so that I have folks to enjoy the experience with. This year, for the first time, I feel like that contract has been broken. I have zero friends on my list that are still actively playing and if it keeps up, there will be -1 M3tallius as well.

Without folks like me that regularly send 100 bucks a month their way, I really don't see how they could keep the lights on.

Warframe simply does not work as a standalone solo game. The mechanics can only carry a game so far. We need content and people to keep coming back for. My entire house is decorated in warframe and Warhammer iconography. My car even has graphics of my main on it. [I run a sign company].

If someone like me even starting to think "What the fuq DE?", there is a major, major problem.
