  1. Your idea is unbalanced, and while I do not think you have any bad intensions, you are trying to break what "balances" weapon modding. Newer players incorrecrly assume that the mod capacity (i.e. the mod drain) is the limiting factor on mods, which while true while ranking it up, is untrue when the weapon is maxed. In the case of exilus, DE noted during it's creation that it was a power bump, but decided that since they can restrict the power bump to mobility and that they wanted the players to be more mobile, they decided that the power bump was acceptable.

You want a gun-exilus mod. Any gun that needs such a mod either needs to be buffed or you need to use the mod system as is to trade damage for other usability requirements. That is not to say that mods could not be better, but blatant power creep is foolish.

  2. All  game economies need a resource sink, or else hyperinflation will occur. To that end the stabilizers are a credit sink, and not even a very good one at that as getting through the sortie will give you enough credits to last your companion over a month. And If you don't want to outlay the credits for that you have been given freezing as an additional countermeasure. sure It's not elegant and for most Kubrows, as I'm not sure the extra damage is worth it but for kavats people who have credits to burn have the option of extra power.

  3. 1.) I thought the behind the scenes reveals were cool, but I feel that it has the same problems that devstreams in general have, namely we (the players) can only ask about things in past iterations, while the [DE]v team primarily operates in a future iteration.

2.) while it was cool to see Geoff's team getting some of the recognition for their hard work, I find it odd that none of the people working under Scott or Sheldon have ever appeared on the stream (Excluding the halloween parades). (I also excluded steve as Mynki is a part of his department)

5.) I think this is a step in the right direction, but I think it needs several things:

    1. a recognition that you are in fact placing weapons into tiers.
    2. more granularity just in case a weapon (I'm looking at you lato) needs further tweaking of it's riven's power.
    3. a test to see if disposition could/should be expanded to other mods, or could be less uniform across a weapon so that a Riven for a high tier weapon may give weaker damage bonuses but provide better utility and QoL improvements. (note that I do not need to see the results of these tests but more knobs will make rivens easier to balance)
  4. In general the stance system has idiosyncrasies separate from their drop pattern, but the problem with stance mods are endemic to the design of the mod drop structure as it exists right now. Prioritize the fixing of the whole, but if your data says you need an interim fix for other reasons, do it.

  5. I wasn't "manipulating the spawns" I was trying to sneak past and could not figure out why the hell the map kept filling up with units, so I investigated.

Seriously, to me this is one of the things DE needs to look at, at least in Spy missions. Just like an Exterminate, Spy missions should be special. If you just have a crazy weird spawn system, then everyone, including me, will say "stuff it, I'll just run straight to the Data Vault door, kill anything that follows me there, turn off the Alarm, and do the vault".

I actually enjoy sneaking all the way with a stupid weapon, Frame and build, wasting a ton of time, knowing fully well that a perma invis Loki would do it in three minutes. I enjoy "stealth" just as much as people that yell in the forums, the difference is, I know you would have to bend too many mechanics and make the AI even more stupid to make it happen properly.

A simple fix that would at least alleviate this problem on Spy missions, would be to limit units on maps, like on Exterminate, so you don't get a constant influx of new units 20 meters away just because you are not looking at a spot. What the heck are they, Weeping Angels or something?

    Don't blink.

Oh no I blinked, what should I do?

  6. -snip-

    And leeches and bloody worms.

    -snip-

So if we are made up of infested flesh, therefore infested are made up of lizards, leeches, and bloody worms right?

What is the worst theory that you have seen that could still possibly be true?

  7. I will be skating to hell before DE allows you to make your own courses AND set the rewards.

If you can't understand why that won't happen, I don't really know what to tell you.

hey everybody! look who it is! its buzz killington!

DSprite might have been a bit harsh but he's also right. The reason that Sheldon was so preoccupied with rewards is because it is the only lever he has to encourage the players to continue playing so that the game seems alive instead of dead. However more racing like gamemodes, tiles, etc. I would not object to.
