  1. Try it yourself:

    -Get a kubrow

-Find a group of enemies unaware of your presence

    -Smokebomb/invisibility

-Trigger your kubrow to strike using "Weapon fire" or "melee" buttons (btw this is a separate "bug": there was a fix a while ago which made companions do nothing until conflict appears, leaving stealth runs still accomplishable; however, they seem to attack whenever you press any attack button, including using a scanner. DE Fix this pls)

-Watch the enemy somehow magically aim at where the meant-to-be invisible kubrow is.

EDIT: As mentioned below, still applies with loki's invisibility, though I tested it with Arcane trickery with the same result.

  2. On the note of WTT: it'll help if you specify which you're trading for and which you're offering.

E.g. WTT>Streamline for flow. It's ambiguous whether you're offering to trade your streamline for someone's flow or whether you're willing to trade someone's streamline for your flow.

  3. Honestly, I think the biggest issue with using in game chat is it forces you to stop in the middle of a fast paced mission and you can't always connect to the chat server.

Oh, and cruddy notification when someone is talking...  I'd like to be able to have team and clan chat on the same tab.

For the first point: I just type while I maintain my momentum, whether that'd be by sliding, wall-flinging, air-melee, etc. I type fast enough for that (in short messages obviously), but naturally, not everyone can. An auto-move forward key would be handy though (cuz that's what I use in other games for typing)

Guess we should wait for chat 2.0.

  4. I usually don't type because >90% of the time, players joining my squad just want to rush the mission. I've grown tired of telling them "trying to stealth yo".

Sometimes there's the really rare instance of a player actually realising that I'm attempting stealth AND join in on it.

Not to mention: why type when waypoints/emotes are sufficient? :P

  5. That would be the one! I haven't gotten around to actually "exploring" it as I have tripped an alert each time. LOL And the last one I had help from another player who just bulled to the terminal, hacked it, and was already releasing the prisoner while I was still shooting back down the tunnel to clear the exit. I plan on putting all of this advice into play on my very next one though.

Don't let that stop you from trying to explore *after* the hostage is rescued.

Or try solo'ing the mission if you can't do that.

  6. @people saying that companions will provoke unaware enemies: that only occurs when the said companion is provoked/attempts to attack. Otherwise, unaware enemies proceed as if they didn't exist.

The stupid thing is that your companion (kubrows especially) will consider attacking whenever you hit the "Weapon fire" or melee button, including with scanners. I've had my sunika reveal my location several times simply because I was trying to stealth scan an enemy for simaris points, but then they struck at them. This (usually?) doesn't apply to a shade sentinel since their attack precept is specifically occurring when provoked/damaged first, but I think huras will still attack like the other kubrows.

I didn't think I specifically mentioned prescribed patrol routes but yes, enemies have them. Think of a "web" that mobs walk along randomly, yet specifically. Be careful though unless you're confident that the enemy will continue walking rather than turn around to catch you before you catch them :)

Also, yes, all rescue missions have alternative bypass routes. Some have multiple.

Terminal with a tunnel, huh. Is this "tunnel" windowed all over, and are there various pillars on either side of that "tunnel"? If it's the tile I'm thinking of, you know that you can go around (fly about those pillars) and enter a grate, leading you right into the prison.

(this one: CorpusPrison.pnglook at the far side/back corners. You can do some parkour around either of those to go up to a breakable grate, leading into the prison.

  7. Can't say for which cloaking companion is better since I'm still trying to get a huras myself, but if you're gonna use ash, you really don't need either.

What's your issue though? Stealth in general, or rescue missions specifically?

I'll put some general pointers for stealth as it is right now anyway:

    • Unaware enemies (excluding Wildlife, Drahk Masters, misc. enemies like turrets, and assassins/death squads) can only detect you within 15m infront of them.

    • To add to the above, their field of view isn't straight up 180° either. It's closer to a 100° cone actually (not sure if it's the same for the vertical plane), and starts from the head. From my experience, enemies can't really see you past a ~5m altitude above them.

    • If you don't already use one, get a scanner equipped. Codex scanner or Simaris' Synthesis scanner are equally applicable. These allow you to "pulse" all objects/enemies through walls* as well in a 50m radius

    • *=Doesn't work through doors between tiles/rooms, and some really "thick" walls.

    • On another note with scanners: if you're ever cloaked with shade/huras, remember that left clicking with a scanner (to actually scan an object/enemy) will take off your cloak, but zooming (RMB) will not dispel your cloak

    • Enemy sense/radar may also help you so you don't have to constantly ping with a scanner

    • Having issues with enemies clustering up at the same patrol point? Try aiming your stealth finisher away from the crowd if possible. Or alternatively, knock them down with a ground slam, and/or take them all out simultaneously before they retaliate (blade storm is one option....)

    • What about enemies peeking around a corner? Enemies in this state will stay in this state unless provoked. Enemies can return to an unaware status whilst maintaining a corner peek state. It may seem strange, but regardless of whether or not their heads are poking out of the corner, they're always watching just outside the corner, in your direction. Thus, even when at times their body is directly facing yours, their stealth prompt shows right there, where they're not watching.

  8. You have loyalty issues, tenno. You'll be a great specimen for the, Zanuka, prototype.

On a serious note: I thought you pay 25k cred to consign a kubrow to lotus, rather than earn 25k??

And really, I think the loyalty daily cap is reasonable. Take that off, and you're basically saying, may as well get rid off the loyalty thing altogether; all kubrows do 100% extra damage!

Isn't the whole DNA stabilising thing more of a concern than loyalty?

  9. If you're in another dimension/world, then logically, you shouldn't even be visible in the original world to begin with.

This shouldn't be an augment; this should be part of the default mechanics.

  10.

pulled this little tid bit of info from the wiki

Fragments of history suggest that discipline and chivalry are the cornerstone values of the Tenno

does this not suggest that they are honorable?

Although i admit that im probably wrong.

    Chivalry:
      • Gallantry, courtesy and "honor".
    • The noble qualities a knight was supposed to have, such as courage and a readiness to help the weak.
    • The demonstration of any of these qualities.

Given that we were abruptly awoken from cryostasis, and the availability of syndicate allegiances, this would be at most, partially true, I'd say.

Take a look at Red Veil, for instance. Not saying the founders of the syndicates are tenno themselves, but pleading allegiance with one would imply alignment of values (in terms of lore), no?

Point being, if you don't want 'nades because you value honor AND believe that the use of 'nades is dishonorable, then so be it. However, if you don't value honor OR don't care about however disrespectful 'nades may be or some other reason, why prohibit that? May as well not have syndicates and/or make it official that hexis is best syndicate because others go against traditional tenno values.

    Not everyone follows tradition.

As for the topic in general, I do not want grenades specifically, but I do want functional, throwable gear items that ricochet off surfaces. Mainly as a way to provide distractions to enemies for stealth reasons.

an RC camera drone of sorts would be nice too, because of the way doors open....

  11. I'm surprised that this has been adapted into an overwolf app! Needs more attention.

Relating to the app: UI is pretty crap tbh; Not resizable and consequently may be immovable (I couldn't see the close/move me buttons when it first loaded with my screen resolution, and honestly don't remember how I managed to move it). It'd be awesome if you could improve the UI a bit more than simply open a webpage (I had a look at the minecraft recipe app, and that seemed pretty cool: even with its own programmable shortcut from overwolf settings!)

It's usable though, and hella convenient actually!
