  1. Replying years later, since I thought of this, googled it, and found this thread. Neat!

    I'm personally not a number-crunchy person what comes to my TTRPG tastes (my philosophy being, "I want my dice rolls to be sparse and meaningful"), so my kind of Warframe TTRPG would be story-driven and somewhat resembling quests in the actual game (do small missions to undercover a big story arch, like do a Spy mission to figure out where the enemy fortress is). What I would actually want to the RPG is the vibes. Like, impression of silent warriors parkouring across the room and wiping out enemies to complete their mission. I wouldn't want to have long fights unless there are actually tough enemies.

    Despite yearning the vibes, one thing is that I think as preferable: I think the TTRPG should find somewhat different niche than the video game. Like, the video game is pretty much about sleek and fast action, player's reflexes, pretty much hopping behind the driving wheel of your Tenno and BANG BANG. However, a video game is limited to its programming and also has so many options to dealing with set challenges (usually limited to shooting or hitting them). Tabletop? Well, because manual input is needed, it can't quite offer similar "hop on the fast vehicle" type of experience. On the other hand, players there have better opportunity to affect the system, ie. interpretation of rules. What if you don't want to deal with the Grineer by barbequing them with your Ignis, but rather you want to give them a neck lift and make them talk? Easier to do in a tabletop roleplaying game. 

    One thing I find interesting to think about is somehow using ready game assets and translating them into TTRPG data. Like, having specific percentage in Warframe Strength with mean this and this in the number of hit die, or this and this ability plays like this (like the fascinating D&D example above). Virtually it would be like, if you had a modded Warframe in-game, you could convert it into a RPG version with a bit math. However, balancing between a video game version and a TTRPG sounds pretty tricky. I'd rather opt to further streamlining the number crunching and making it so simple that the combat can actually go fast. Then the players could focus on the strengths of TTRPG, like character-driven story, creative problem-solving and being able to run custom cutscenes in your brain without a massive animation team.

    If I had an opportunity/need/calling to run Warframe fan TTRPG, I think I would most likely to build it on the top of a (loose) system that the game group is already familiar with. Like that D&D Tenno.

  2. Increases your upper body strength to allow you to perform impressive throwing feats. Yeet or be yeeted, Tenno.

     

    This idea came when my friends and I were talking. I mentioned a mental image of Rhino throwing an angrily hissing Valkyr at the enemy, and a friend commented that it would be awesome to be able to throw your allies. I figured, why not? That would be a cool feature!
     
    I originally tried to fashion this into a frame idea (even figured out names like Trebuchet and Capertoss), but then it occurred to me: "Why should just one Warframe be able to throw things?" But how to insert throwing into the games, as there are only so many controls?
     
    Enter Ballistic Exoskeleton Arms. They are gear items that can be worn akin to fishing gear, and it rekeys the number keys for throwing things. Watch me. (Names are not entirely serious here.)

    1. Throwing Mode: Yeet!. A multipurpose throwing mode (enemies and items). Activate this mode by pressing 1.

    a) Press the melee button to grab the targeted enemy. Aim and press the firing button to throw the said enemy to your direction of choosing. Tapping melee button again releases the target without throwing them. The thrown enemy causes and suffers from Impact damage and topple down, and the amount of damage depends on several factors (the mass of the enemy, velocity when the enemy hits the target, type of surface...). Bosses, capture targets, and very big targets are immune to this ability. The enemy frees themselves from your grib if you hold them for too long.

    b) Alternatively, you can grab an explosive barrel and propel it at your desired direction. The barrel explodes on impact.
     
    c) Alternatively, you can throw other items (power cells, data masses etc.) to transport them faster to desired locations. If an item falls off the map, they teleport back to their original position.

    2. Throwing Mode: Fast Ball Special. A more controlled mode for throwing allies. Activate this mode by pressing 2.
     
    By pressing melee button, you kneel down and offer another player to use you as a stationary catapult. The other player presses action button to balance onto your palm (in proper ninja style). Once balancing, pressing action button again makes then leave from your palm. You can then aim and fire to propel your ally into your targeted direction (or the ally can trigger the throw by themselves if they are faster). Press melee button again to leave the catapult position. Because your ally lands in controlled manner, they don't suffer from or cause damage or status effects upon hitting the ground (unless they have Heavy Landing).
     
    You can also use this skill to propel AI-controlled allies, with the difference that the targeted AI-controlled ally automatically hops onto your palm and allows themselves to be thrown (this could be in the 1. ability, though, but I figured it would be more logical to group this with player allies, after all this time the Warframe throws the ally in more controlled manner).

    Applications of Ballistic Exoskeleton Arms could include:
     
    - Handy (ba-dum-tssh) way to get projectiles from nearest source - your enemies.
    - Throwing explosive barrels at enemies
    - Throwing the hostage further away from enemies
    - Maps specialized for this gear, such as puzzles in which you need to throw your allies to unlock progress (throw an ally up, the ally drops a ladder for you). It could be that one can throw an ally further away than one can bullet jump.
    - C'mon, how cool is throwing stuff?

  3. Saying this before anything else: Please don't suggest "Don't play Warframe if you have bad connections / a toaster of a machine." It's not helpful. Thank you. I also made my dip into the search and tried to find related topics, but I don't think there is a general thread dedicated for the topic.

    Here we have a thread for brainstorming common game tech performance problems among players: bad game connections, weak laptops, old platforms etc. and how to deal with them. We could talk about topics like:

    • How to troubleshoot the connection to get best out of the limited Internet access
    • How to get best out of your wheezing old laptop
    • Tips for getting the game to run as smoothly as possible with the limited Internet access (both for yourself and fellow players)

    Tidbits have been asked all around this forum, but how about a collective thread on these issues? Perhaps this could be easier to be found by future players with similar trouble.

    From my experience as someone with game performance problems, I start a collective list here, and I take liberty to append this list according to replies to this thread. Many of these are based on common sense, but possibly those may also be helpful, at least to folks with less finesse with tech. I'm not personally a tech guru myself, so I'm happy to have more technical things into this list by people of that area.

    So, are you a person with game tech performance problems, and you can't improve your Internet access or device soon? Here are some lists to check:

    Outside Warframe

    • Minimize any possible bandwidth usage outside the game. You may need to drop uploading things, streaming, voice chat etc. while playing. Try out which things have big dent to your connections and avoid those.
    • Check also programs running on the background.
    • Keep your device as uncluttered as possible to free memory.
    • Use a directly plugged internet cable rather than WiFi if that is possible.

    Inside Warframe

    • Main rule: Try avoid becoming the host of the squad.
      • Ask other people with better connections to invite you into squads, and ask other people to start missions, so you don't get prioritized to become the host.
      • In Settings, set your PC Type setting on Laptop to further avoid being selected as the host.
    • If your game tech performance is poor, it may affect on other players too if you are in multiplayer. Be mindful of that. Someone will always get irritated. That is life.
      • Sometimes it may help, if possible, to warn your squad about your bad connections in advance.
      • If your connections are really bad, it might be just easier to do things solo as much as possible.
    • If your platform (computer etc.) is slow, you may want to lower the graphics of the game as much as possible. The result is still pretty nice in this game.
    • If you are playing in an open world (Plains of Eidolon, Orb Vallis):
      • Try to head straight to the open world if possible, rather than to go first to the related cities (Cetus, Fortuna). To my experience, this is much quicker than going first to the city, picking the bounty and then heading to the open world. You can still access bounties directly in the open worlds (Konzu's Radio Consoles over the plains, Solaris Operative right next to the door of Fortuna).
      • If you are going with a friend who has better game tech performance, ask them to go to the open world first and then to invite you (directly to the open world). To my experience, this is the smoothest way to get both of you into the game.

    I'm happy to get additions to these lists! This is pretty bareboned for now.

  4. Removed my entry, as I came to the conclusion that it was not the most respectful way to portray moustaches in Movember (fake moustaches as disguises). While not of gender that is expected to grow moustache, mental health is a real deal of me, and I should do better than use the contest topic in this kind of joking way, even if the joke itself isn't mean-spirited. I will not make another entry as I used my chance already.

    "Scanning for hazards." Palutu first scanned scanned with non-emitting sensors, then made a quick white-noised sweep with more refined emitting sensors. They needed to be quick and sure, even if it included risks of leaving signal marks.

    CRASH!

     

    The ceiling lamp did not survive the impact with a heavy wrench. The faint sparkle of neon blue indicated that the tool was propelled with more than just sheer physical force. Before the wrench hit back on the floor, a whole box of tools had been launched all across the Orbiter maintenance area. The bright blue glow crackled and made nearby electrical instruments to jump and flicker. Middle of that all stands the compact avatar of fierce emotions, screaming on the top of her lungs - a shrill sound only possible for a prepubescent child.

     

    A startled electronic sound tries to overcome the noise of destruction. "Operator Rhosyn! Please calm down! You are breaking the equipment!"

     

    But the Cephalon only managed to amp up the pitch and the volume of Rhosyn's scream. "Shut up! Shut up! SHUT UP!" She threw her head into her hands, and a shockwave of blue broke yet another ceiling lamp.

     

    Cephalon Kheet monitored the damage in terror. While this Void-enhanced outburst was too unfocused to truly damage the hull or any larger equipment, this display of Void powers inside the orbiter was frightening. This was not his Operator on her right state of mind. This was destruction - to her.

     

    "Rhosyn, you get hurt if you don't-"

     

    "You don't care!"

     

    "I do care, Rho-"

     

    "YOU JUST CARE THIS STUPID SHIP!"

     

    "No! It's not- Rhosyn!"

     

    Now it wasn't the ship damage that shocked Kheet. It was the unpredicted jolt that pierced through Rhosyn. She first looked like she was being pulled from multiple strings in a sequence, then fell on the floor with whites of her eyes showing. The neon blue still crackled over her limbs that twitched uncontrollably. Her scream had changed into something more alarming: panicked gasps, almost as if she was choking.

     

    Kheet did not stay idle. "Synth implant. Injection S12. Deploy now!"

     

    Several miniscule components under Rhosyn's skin responded to this command. Stored chemicals inside mixed according to predetermined formula and formed tiny drops of potent serum. The devices then seeped these drops directly into the blood circulation, spreading the chemical as efficiently and fast as possible.

     

    The Cephalon keenly followed the procedure.  "Work, work, please work now…"

     

    The blue crackling subsided. The twitches gradually wore out, muscles started to relax. Finally, only the remaining lamps illuminated the room rather than side effects of tapping the Void. Rhosyn, now limp on the floor, she was gasping air.

     

    "How are you?" Kheet's tone was hasty and alarmed. "Are you in control now?"

     

    Rhosyn didn't reply immediately. Instead, she breathed heavily, and in vain, she attempted to stand up. "Dizzy..."

     

    "The dose peak will wear out soon. But Rhosyn. Please. You need to be careful! This is the fourth time already. I'm worried about you. This is not healthy, you need other-"

     

    "Shut up..." This is now more tired than defiant tone. "Shut up…"

    Kheet silenced himself. But like the Cephalon had predicted, it took only a minute when the girl was able to climb back onto her legs. Supporting herself on the wall while walking, she made her way to her personal quarters.

     

    "Personal quarters?" the Cephalon questioned. "Rhosyn, there is only a sofa. You could rest better in-"

     

    "No. Not that pod. No."

     

    "Alright… then, I hope you rest well. I continue piloting."

     

    His sensors followed Rhosyn who limped to the personal quarters, picked up a blanket and curled up onto the floor, next to the starry window. She was still twitchy, but it indeed looked like she would try have some sleep. Reluctantly, Kheet turned his main focus back to the ship controls.

     

    "Tell me if you need anything. Please."

    On the bridge of a solitary Tenno ship, a young woman had knelt down front of the navigator. The star chart in front of her was decorated with a complex yet organized network of dots and lines. Her posture was rigid while her hand gestures mapped a route, and her mouth was a strict line.

     

    Cephalon Par watched this usual sight. Usual… yet subtly wrong. Operator Gwinn's motions were jagged, angular. Brushes over the hologram were too forceful. Sometimes she missed the data component she was trying to unlock and repeated the unlock motion again and again to get it work; that normally happened barely ever. What used to look like a dance of fingers was now like frustrated angry-walk at barely decided directions.

     

    "Operator Gwinn, ma'am."

     

    Operator Gwinn did not lift her eyes from the map. "What is it?" Even her voice sounded angular.

     

    For a moment, Par felt like he would regret what he would say. "I have a question, ma'am."

     

    "Then ask it." There was the unusually prominent hiss at the "s".

     

    "The events two weeks, three days, fifteen hours ago. Are they still affecting your performance, ma'am?"

     

    The line for a mouth drew even stricter. "Has there been something wrong with my performance, Par?"

     

    Par's hologram lost its color for a second or two. That’s right, he had asked the wrong question. He had to make damage control. "No, ma'am. Your performance is excellent. Your rate of executed missions and resolved conflicts is still outstanding."

     

    She didn't reply. Instead, she almost slung an icon out of her hologram screen.

     

    Par was still without the answer he was looking for. Maybe he should try another angle. That's right. He could not keep up with this days long stand-off with his non-responsive Operator. "Operator Gwinn, ma'am."

     

    "What now?"

     

    "Yes. You spend plenty of time with planning, ma'am."

     

    "I must do this. I don't get my mission plans ready anymore, as you well know."

     

    That Par could not deny. Recent events had forced Operator Gwinn to take responsibility on tasks and decisions that originally were made elsewhere. "Operator, your added workload is not necessarily efficient."

     

    No answer.

     

    "Ma'am, the whole... situation has changed. The workload is not the only issue that causes concern in me."

     

    Still no answer.

     

    "You are also still dealing with the fact that Lotus left-"

     

    ZZZRK!

     

    The star chart flickered furiously on the outburst of a golden aura emitted out of Operator Gwinn. As the aura faded away, her narrowed eyes tried to comprehend the tangled light stripes and get back to her plans. Eventually, she groaned and bolted up.

     

    "Ma'am!" Par stammered. "I did not mean-"

     

    Operator's cold eyes turned at the stand where Par's hologram showed. The strict mouth now formed a grimace, and the fingers had curled into hard, shaking firsts. Even her shoulders shook. She inhaled, she exhaled, it resembled more like mechanical bellows than actual human breathing.

     

    "Par," she finally hissed. "Fix the console."

     

    Par was already on it. "Yes, ma'am," he replied, barely louder than a peep. "Right away, ma'am." Great job, Par. Absolutely great. Absolutely great to drop in the Lotus bomb and make Operator Gwinn snap at you.

     

    Without affirmation, without a nod, Operator Gwinn turned around and stomped down the ramp. Par could notice her storming all the way into the transference room and closing herself into her pod. No sensor activated there; that had to mean that Gwinn did not want to be observed. Meanwhile, Par started to gather the data fragments to reconstruct the console display.

     

    It was still a stand-off. Standoff between Operator Gwinn and... the world.

  7. Hi folks.

    I'm Nuti, and this is a fanfic short story series that is simply named Two. It is a story of two Tenno, learning to cope with their lives after a life-changing loss. This is a kind of a story where I study these characters and sprinkle in some things that I like to write about. That's mainly about that.

    Oh, a little more. I originally had an idea for a RPG on similar issues, but due to my real life limitations, I became afraid of that I could not keep the game alive sufficiently long. So on the topic of the intended RPG, I decided to make a series of short stories instead. By writing these on my own terms and never really promising to make sequels, I intend to keep my stress low. This is more a personal project than a promised show.

    I don't speak English as my native language, so pardon me for my grammar issues. If I make repetitive mistakes in my English, I'm glad to hear where I can improve myself.

    Below, I put links to the short stories, and I will also link each short story to the previous and next one to help navigation. Therefore, you folks can feel free to comment in this same thread despite having the stories there every not and then.

    While outside all hell had been breaking loose, Gamma's mission so far had not come to much more than walking down a hallway and dispatching a patrol. Seeming just as bored as they had been executing the enemies, Dov and Andrea made their way across the ship, hoping that perhaps something more exciting would happen at some point. It took a few minutes, but they were finally at the second vault, a heavily fortified room, laid out quite similarly to the one they had just moved past.

    For just a few moments, it seemed like they would be stuck repeating mindless tasks over and over. Then a blastwave rends the hull, cutting through every layer of defense the door had to produce a ridiculously large cut in front of them, folding edges hard enough that even the doors they would have used to enter had been broken off of their frame. Oddly, however, there was no sucking, no escaping of air, no... anything. That was not normal, and neither were the instructions that followed.

    "Gamma Squad, change of plans. The recent... events have lead to Palutu's entry points becoming compromised, and the plans have changed. We'll be choking out the remaining forces. You are to exit the ship, and to deactivate the environmental shields through a maintenance system. I've marked it on your HUDs."

    Did... did he just say that they need to exit the ship?

    Elsewhere, Insali was experiencing something completely different. Where he was located, the gash was much thinner, and much more shallow, creating a hole just large enough for him to exit through. His exit, however, would not be as easy as the others'. The warping of the hull had been just large enough to begin warping the walls, revealing a glint of something metallic and silver underneath.

    Sudden change of plans. Hmmm. It would be most convenient to immediately obey the instruction, but then again, Palutu felt the information lacking. The Cephalon did not find the state of incomplete information ideal. "What is compromising the entry points? Please elaborate the situation. I am not able to optimize the course of action with lacking data." However, data for data. "One of operatives is currently in stuck near the first intended entry point. Does that have an effect on the future procedure?"

    Blood. Gore. Carnage. Death. The Tenno carry with them a trail spread thick through the universe, a trail of suffering and destruction, now embodied by the, for lack of a better word, annihilation of the patrol squad. Jolts of electricity flew through the crowd, bringing death to many, all while the rest were picked off with the grace of a whirling dervish, dancing through the numbers. Their frames dripped with lifeblood, every drop sapping just a bit of the battle high that had overtaken them, the bloodthirsty beasts receding back under the skin as reality realigned itself. Right... Insali was still stuck inside the room.

    Said Tenno would find himself face to face with... a countdown, as he approached the screen. 

    "Thirty seconds until whole room purge. Present identification."

    Perhaps now would be a good time to put those famed Tenno hacking skills to use...

    As for Palutu, their number of evaluations would skyrocket for a few moments as they process the sheer amount of information needed to evaluate the ideal course of action. Based on average Grineer ship builds, one could surmise that the door was far too strong for the Tenno to really break through. Furthermore, Palutu's installation, while ideally served by accessing all three systems, could work with only two, making the concept of remote hacking far too time consuming to be worth it. Lastly, the next console wasn't particularly far away, much faster to reach and access than anything regarding Insali would be. Furthermore, there was the possibility that the group would be able to remotely unlock the door Insali was stuck behind from the next point.

    "Calculation complete. Option one most time efficient. Waypointing new location."

    The immediate Grineer issue taken care of. That is optimal. However, same couldn't be said about the closed door and blocked access to the console.

    "Calculating options. Cursory calculation complete." 

    There are at least three options. The Cephalon procees to inform their squad mates -- including Insali who they attempt to contact over decrypted short-distance signal that would fade away quickly as distance would increase. 

    "Three solutions (minimum) available. One, find another way to a console, I am processing a route. Downside, route not quaranteed to be efficient. Two, attempt to break this door. Downside, the door is durable. Three, using the operative on the other side of the door as a link to hack into the console they can now reach. Downside, it is not as efficient as direct plug-in. What is your decision, operatives?"

    While talking, Palutu is working more on background. The Cephalon uses the map to seek the route to next possible console, seek the structure of the door, and evaluate the pros and cons of trying to hack into the console remotely using Insali.

  11. Hi! Having been a frequent user of the recruitment chat (mainly for void relic shares), I got some improvement ideas for the chat:

    1. Item links: Indicator for whether or not you own said item. For example, if the chat links an item that you own, it could be shown in bold text, or have a different color, or something similar, to differentiate them from items that you don't own. It could be handy with relic shares to be immediately able to see if you own said relic or not without needing to click the link to see it. It could be especially useful if you are farming and cracking open relics in masse and your relic stock keeps changing all the time.
    2. Relic share recruitment: Automatic filtering. Sometimes I feel like seeking relic shares, sometimes not, sometimes I'm just looking for something to do and want to have everything. Most relic share recruitment posts are easy to identify, as they normally contain a link to the said relic. So, what if the player could toggle one of three options on the recruitment chat: relics only, no relics, both relics and non-relics? Depending on what the player is fancying at the moment. Filtering the chat to have only relevant information could be nice, as the post pile up there a lot and now one gotta be sharp to keep eyes on when something interesting is there.
    3. More advanced relic share recruitment: Tagging relics. So the idea would be like this: You have set of relics, refined or not, and you want to participate a relic share. However you don't want to spend a lot time staring the chat, hoping to find a party to join there, and you'd actually like to have a mission or two instead of sitting like a duck. Here comes the solution: Tag the (owned) relics you want to intshare or radshare, and when someone in the chat (or in a more evolved system) mentions said relic, you get a ping and can go to view said chat message, and then you can decide if you want to message the sender and ask about the relic share. Similar system could work also for other items, like "hey I want to farm [Harrow Systems], anyone in?"

    These ideas would require the chat users actually using the item links so the info could be used. Or then there could be a more advanced recruitment system that bases on the items/nodes people tag. Anyway, the more I get to play and less to stare the chat, the better!

  12. Question: Do Grineer scanners work like in the game, ie. it doesn't blare an alarm if it's broken? And also... Palutu probably knows these scanners inside and outside, given how prevalent technology it is, so does Palutu know another way to mess it up so the squad can slip in without suspiciously breaking a scanner?

    Gamma Squad would need to act now, and decide whether they'd take their chances executing the number without a single one barking out an indication to their presence, or hiding in the room guarded by the ever vigilant scanner.

    "Standard Grineer ID verification scanner. No modifications. Destroying one won't trigger an alarm in the system." Though the team probably doesn't want to break the sensor so that it looks visibly broken.

    Noises. More peoole. Beta Squad's plan not fulfilled on schedule? Hmm. This is inconvenient.

    "Assuming Beta Squad being late. Requesting course of action. Time limit: Seconds."

    He wondered about the scanner. Obviously, the first thought would be to destroy it immediately. But what if that's what they're supposed to do? What if it's a dud, and destroying will trigger an alarm? And what if it's both? What if it's both a normal scanner and a trigger?

    "Don't destroy the scanner yet." he whispered to his teammates.

    "Scan started." Without further ado, Palutu runs visual non-emissive scan and comparative diagnostics to see if it shows any deviances compared to the scanner machinery in their database.

  15. Again threads like "what do you like most and why" threads because I like hearing opinions and spread positivity! This is my list:
     
    Equinox Prime, night form: So incredibly pretty! Especially when applied with dark colors and colorful emission.
     
    Loki: To me, the basic Loki looks more like a (stereotypical) ninja than Ash ever does. Just look at those eye lights peeking under his hood! Just look at them, they are oddly cute. He also looks like he has baggy pants. I like baggy pants.
     
    Mesa Prime: That hat. THAT HAT. I want a hat like that.
     
    Mirage: Not that much the design itself but her animations, like bowing, blowing kisses, coyly holding the fishing spear behind her, and so on. Really fits to her theme as a performer. I also like her collar ruffles, and especially I like her Harlequin helmet.
     
    Nezha: For some reason the combination of "a tiny person carrying something impossibly large and using it as an unconventional weapon" makes me happy. I also like his animations.
     
    Saryn: The vibe she gives can be described only as "regal". Her animations convey confidence. I like it. Stand tall with your heels, lady.
     
    Wukong Prime: It was appeal at the first sight. Not only I like Wukong's monkeyish animations, but also his Prime looks bring the monkey aesthetics home, especially with the new helmet that has prominent ears. And he has baggy pants, too!
     
    Zephyr: I like her having a prominent armor instead of looking like having a skin-tight getup. It just makes me happy.

  16. This is an idea I've had a while, and it resurfaced when Shawzin Emote was introduced. So, it would be nice to have some waist wear for Warframes in addition to syandanas and cosmetic armor (or as part of them). These could include things like waist armor, belts, sashes, coat hems, loin cloths, skirts...
     
    Yes, Syandanas get the "swish swish" department covered very nicely. But especially female Warframes look sometimes too... form-fitted for my personal tastes (though that can be often covered with Syandanas and/or tactical color choices). Let's say that mission start cut scenes with low-camera ninja landing tend to look pretty awkward to me if the Warframe in question has super defined butt... And Shawzin playing would look much much fancier if there was some cloth flooding around the Warframe, reminding us of traditional Asian musicians. The current pose without such additions looks a little bareboned.

    So getting some more clothing over waist area would be a nice option, and I would be ready to pay some money for pretty pieces. I know, Warframe skins are a thing, but it would be nice to have a simple piece of clothing that could be used for several Warframes, serving similar purpose than Syandanas.
     
    Some ideas for waist wear?
     
    Just simple belts, sashes, skirts, jacket hems, loin cloths etc. of varying lengths and cuts, preferably so that they can be made to look like part of a Warframe by matching the colors right. And then some fancier ones on the top of that. I think that Prime-style waist wear could be easy to apply the Prime Warframes as they already share similarities in their design.
     
    Some potential problems coming to my mind?
     
    - Probably biggest problem: Different Warframes having different waists, hence harder to automatically fit waist things to all of them. Perfectly understandable that armor and syandanas are much easier to apply, as they go over places in which size differences are less of an issue. On the other hand, armors also have options for adjusting locations and so, so similar could be applied to a waist wear, or then waist wear could be made of two components: "front cape" and "back cape".
    - Clashing with Warframes that already have waist stuff or hems (such as Oberon, Frost, and Vauban)
    - More moving parts in a Warframe and more potential clipping
    - Overall effort to add this all, and certainly there things developers would rather focus on more.
     
    But hey, I thought that there is no harm throwing an idea in the air 🙂 I would like to prettify my Warframes with these kind of things!

    Palutu immediately marks the location of the nearest promising console on Dov's HUD. "This one should work for my purposes. No patrols should be there, should Beta Squad be up to the schedule."

    Because it would be unlikely that others would hear Palutu's speakers over running, Palutu tells only to the linked operative: "More data analyzed. No, that terminal seems to be part of the original design of this ship. Yes, the machinery is too streamlined and smooth to be of Grineer mindset of design despite passing similarity. This is either not Grineer-made or then this is a rare offshoot. I will repeat this to the rest of the squad once we have stopped."

  18. GAMMA

    With sensors on the datamass and whatever is available in Dov, Palutu makes a check around to find any useful information. This could be structural information in the room, data signals around, or any oddities around. They also attempt to formulate suggestions for what to do next, as these individuals are possibly having diminished ability to make rational decisions due to increased pressure.

    "I'm ready. Unplug me. Seek another console." Palutu had been in for less than a second.

    The Cephalon then starts to fill in. They prop up the small speakers attached on the datamass, so they would be heard by other members of the Gamma squad, too.

    "That console was a shallow system, mainly separate from the other ship, and on the top of that, it is distinctly Tenno architecture by its nature. It seems to be a navigation slash guide console, containing files of the layout of this floor and instruction manual for new users. Defenses were most basic. It also gave instructions for accessing exclusive communications over here. I am currently sanitizing the map file -- sanitation complete -- for further use."

    Then... airlocks. Palutu hadn't been paying attention. Where the closing signal came from? The Cephalon did not remember tripping any alarms in the console.

    "Please state your plan, Operatives."
