  1. Had a thought at work today regarding the current status of dueling. Really, there isn't much to it and I am not talking about the conclave but of the clan dojo dueling.It's pretty simple, 2 frames beat off eachother.

    What if, 2 tennos can duel in a gladiator kind of style? Ranked duels where they are limited to either only their melee, primary, different weapon types etc.It'll follow the conclave system although I hav'nt thought much about conclave mods as to whether it will be fair use or not in a duel. Warframe mods could be taken out just like the conclave.

    For the arena I could imagine a vast space, maybe with different themes depending on what planet the arena is on i.e sandy arena on phobos, ice/snow/blizzard on europa. The arena can have different obstacles like in the simulacrum depending on what rank you are in the gladiator system, which i will get to on later. Surrounding the arena can be a mass crowd of different people(?) from the relay, maybe some grineer, corpus. Each gladiator match, there will be a betting system but i'm not sure how that will work so i'll just mention that and leave it out for now. Also, different players can spectate the match from the seats around the arena(im not sure what they're called lol).

    As for the ranking, each tenno kill will rank you up in the leaderboards, and there will be different tiers where you will fight different players. Fresh meat, middle tier and championships blah blah blah i havn't really come up with names for the tiers but you get what i mean. I'm still thinking on how many  kills are needed to rank up to different tiers so i am open to any suggestions.

    There will be no reward system, however, a special sigil, badge or/and even a special syandana can be awarded for each tier, with the highest tier being the most flashiest cause why not. 

    There could be an arena entree fee or an arena key bp that must be crafted before entering the gladiator games, but can be only paid or used once, then, you're free to go.

    Special decapitation or execution animations can be used when your opponent is defeated i.e when you kill a player, a special animation plays in a cutscene which shows the opponent getting its head cut off by the winning player although that could be abit too gorey and harmful to the lore, so i am thinking of the winning player shaming the defeated opponent by walking over his body or something.

    I am open to all suggestions and criticism regarding this topic, however, i will disapprove any cheeky or smart remark which offers no contribution to this topic.

    Again, i am open to all suggestions and i will probably update throughout the future depending on the suggestions you guys offer, and after all, this was just a side-thought i had, a very big one too.

  2. here's a tip:

    bring a friend with you, preferably a newer or newbie player. i quit for a long while too, almost  a year and a half, and my friend, who was still new to the game but quit around the same time i did, decided to go back playing. finding new S#&$ in the game together is really fun, like "WOAAAAAAH YOU CAN DOUBLE JUMP WAAAT" "SAY WAAAAAT??"

    I see that having seperate trade chats could be very annoying to the player indeed. Do you think having a ctrl-f feature to easily find a common interest in sales/trades a good idea?

    With different ideas. I would suggest my idea within the comments section of his/her's topic but i'm afraid it'll get lost in there, and so I decided to post a topic stating my idea, which clearly disapproves of the idea of an AH, and rather, suggests an implementation of seperate trade chats for selling, buying, trading.

    Instead of holding an Auction House which could potentially destroy Warframe economy and ruin my chance to scam the lucky sucker (huehuehue), DE could implement a seperate chat for WTS, WTB and WTT peoples.

    I believe that would be a great improvement to the current trade chat. I also think a tracker(?) or infograph that shows the average price of certain items, a more reliable pricecheck although I can see it being altered by players mass selling items on high prices, so I wouldn't suggest that, just a side thought.

    Any suggestions and/or ideas appreciated!

  6. I might craft these weapons and take them on for low to high end game tiers.

    My question is, do they fare well through low-to-high tier levels if properly modded?

  7. Neat idea, but it would be very difficult to implement.

    For starters, the whole reason we have the lock on melee system is because it makes it easier for us to use melee, otherwise we'd keep missing. Which would be the case if it was PvP.

    Then there comes lag issues, and balancing as well (because tank frames dominate the entirety of the Archwing field)

    Yeah,i usually run with my rhino on archwing missions,and tank frames are more of a use than other squished frames.

    i'll think of a solution to this

  8. It'd be cool if there was Archwing PVP.

    Lock on melee/leaping will still be there,but lock on attacks can be countered if timed correctly.

    Maps will be smaller,although there can be larger maps for bigger teams/players.

    Conquest will work similarly to interception.

    Player count will be(if possible,due to engine limitations) 16v16,8v8(smaller maps),24v24(on medium sized maps),and 4v4(for smaller,squad based maps)

    Shields/Health will be based on the Archwing,with a bonus 200health/100shield.

    In conquest,when the losing team only has one captured point,the team will have a 15% shield/health buff,with a 5% dmg buff. If the losing team captures another point,the buff will be removed.

    I know the player count may sound ridiculous but hey,it's possible(hopefully)
