This is useful if someone gets abit too trigger happy with the Sarpa + Shattering Impact 😛

I did... Still lost Im afraid... But that might be because in all my time Hunting... Ive never played the Dedicated DPS Roll... only the Improvised DPS Roll... you know... when you try your luck with Randoms and realise theres 1 Mesa, 1 Umbra and Another Volt... so me (Also Playing Volt) has become the Unofficial DPS Role simply because I went with Madurai instead of Zenurik XD !!!

For organized squads you want to bring Unairu as DPS but definitely in random squads bring madurai.

Maybe this picture of a waterlimb will helpJENV0Xl.jpg

Sentient Enemies (And Noxes, and Demolists) have innate Damage Reduction... I dont know how much the Eidolons have but its alot... Note that Im not talking about the ability to adapt to your damage type... I mean before you even hit them most Sentients already start off with 50% Damage Reduction and then they start adapting to your Damage Types for even more Damage Reduction... ITs Extremely annoying.

That Reminds me... Ive been meaning to test drive the Velocitus for Eidolon Hunting... just Formad Earlier today 🙂

Volt Shields will increase the Critical Damage of anything Fired through 1 Shield by 200% (Does Not Stack with multiple Shields)...

Its the the Additional Electricity Damage thats Specifc to Projectile Weapons... as a Projectile Passes though each Volt Shield... it will gain +50% Electricity Damage Stacking up to 6 Times if it passes through 6 Shields... THis effect will also Combines with the mods equiped on Projectile Weapons... So if you modded for Radiation... The Projectile will have its Radiation Damage increased... If you modded Exclusively for Heat... then the Heat will combine with the Electricity to make Radiation Damage once it passes through the Shield... This is How some Players Defeat Eidolons using just Spoiler Mode, Virtuos Forge and Magus Melt.

I dont know how the Electricty Bonus affects Hit Scan Weapons or even if it does at all.... If I play Volt you bet your Sweet Patoody Im using Projectile Weapons 😛 that Includes Melee too... I throw my Wolf Sledge through them Shields 😄

What are water Limbs ? 😮

Hitscan weapons will still have the damage bonus applied to them but the bonus electricity won't combine with any of the elements on your weapon and will stay as pure electric. This is not bad though as eidolon's health still do take 50% bonus dmg from electricity.

Please read my longer response to SpicyDinosaur for an explanation of what waterlimbs are.

I've never had the water limbs issue, but I only go for, at most depending on how I feel, 3x4s (usually less.) I guess it would happen eventually, it just seems weird to accommodate. Maybe it happens more now than it used to.

I actually think I might have a Vulkar riven, what did you say the stats you want are? I'm certainly willing to test it out.

And yea my info is dated. I didn't realize so much had changed. Since the Eidolon Recruitment Hub is not as active and instructory as it used to be, (Now it's the Open World Recruitment Hub,) my info has lost a source.

Edit: Also do you have a build for the vulkar wraith? I have crit chance atm but no negative or multishot.

There is no such thing as a 3x4. [this number means the amount of sets of eidolons you are doing in one nigth cycle]x[this number means which eidolons you are doing] For example a 3x3 = 3 sets of all 3 eidolons in 1 night cycle. Since there are only 3 eidolons (terry harry and garry) it is not possible to do 3 sets of 4 of eidolons.

I don't think you're understanding what a water limb is. It is when you spawn garry/harry and they come out of the water and walk towards the shore. You are able to shoot the shields before they reach the shore as their shield hitbox will already be there its just the animation of them walking there that is playing. So if you deplete their shields their limbs will become vulnerable as the animation of them walking towards the shore is playing. If you break the limb while they are still in the animation the animation will instantly finish and the eidolon will tp to shore. This saves a ton of time instead of waiting for the eidolon to walk ashore. If you are using a weapon that shoots a projectile you will be unable to destroy the limbs until the eidolon walks ashore because of a bug. But you don't need to worry about this if you're only doing 3x3s and below. Waterlimb breaks are only really expected at around a 4x3 and up.

You will need critical chance, multishot and a harmless negative riven in order to have the vulkar be "useable". Otherwise it will be super inconsistent (sometimes not critting/not shooting 3 pellets) which means it won't always do a bunch of dmg.

The vulkar build is this: Don't make h cal higher than rank 8 or it will be too inaccurate. H cal can also be swapped for primed chamber but you will have to make sure you have a full magazine before you shoot. This vulkar build is also using volt of course. You might be wondering why it is pure heat, that is because volt's 1 gives electric dmg which will combine to make rad.OAIrpvS.jpg

Also if you are looking for a dps volt build here is mine: Arcanes depend on the weapon you are using. You don't need to follow this exact build but you will need shock trooper, vig swap, 200-300% str and around 150% duration, CP. Rest is preference.IQngOb4.jpg

If you are looking for an eidolon hunting discord I can link you one here: https://discord.gg/CFYjCcm There are nearly 1000 members and it is pretty active. There are lots of experienced hunters there who can answer questions.

    water limbs?

Lanka and Rubico have always been the meta afaik. And Vulkar is a status sniper, and eidolons are immune to status, only the initial damage affects the synovias.

Water limbs are when garry/harry spawn in the water and you shoot their upper limbs. Lanka was meta long time ago when chroma was still meta. Its no longer meta now because it can't hit waterlimbs. Rubico has always been meta yeah but that doesn't make it the best. In terms of dps its very good but in terms of 1 shotting there are way better options. You seemed to have ignored my point as to why vulkar is good. It is because it has high dispo and an augment. The initial weapon stats are trash but with a riven it can be extremely good.

  5. 43 minutes ago, SpicyDinosaur said:

Lanka will carry you as far as Rubico. Vectis lags behind both.

That is not true, sure rubico has more DPS than vectis but when you're 1 shotting that doesn't matter. Lanka isn't used in high lvl hunts because it cannot hit waterlimbs as there is a bug that prevents projectile weapons from hitting water limbs. If you're going to run high lvl hunts with lanka you're going to need a hitscan secondary capable of destroying limbs fast.

Imo Vectis > Rubico because it is not that hard to 1 shot limbs, yes rubico has much more dps but if you destroy the limb in 1 shot then that doesn't matter. Vectis has much higher dmg per shot than rubico and can easily 1 shot limbs. Vulkar has even more single shot dmg potential than both of them and even rivals lanka due to its extremely high (1.4) riven disposition and augment.

I would say rubico is the one lagging behind in terms of 1 shotting potential.

sh**. My Kuva Chakkhurr has base toxin damage.

Edit: I have the same problem with my Rubico.

Can I see your rubico build? And what frame are u using? Also the chakkur is not an optimal eidolon hunting weapon, sure it can be used but there are weapons FAR better than it that you can use. (Vectis prime, Rubico prime, lanka if low lvl hunts, vulkar wraith if you have a cc ms - riven for it)

Hello everyone. I started Eidolon hunts few weeks ago and encountered a very annoying bug. Sometimes WF not reacting to actions like attack, transference etc. Walking and looking around work so as equipping Archwing. Obviously can't do damage, can't even write in chat nor go stealth or use transference is not a big help to anyone and it is very frustrating.

Don't know how to reproduce but other people told me the same happened to them.

Can this get fixed asap please?

Yeah that's a known bug. It's called getting softlocked iirc. To fix i've heard jumping on and off your k drive works. Dying and reviving might also work

Trinity Bless to keep lures alive
Insert Damage McDamaginson frame name here
Volt Shield to further boost damage

Harrow to make people invurnable with 4, during the Eidolon's cry after you break a part. It's for preventing the magnetic procs...
and is outdated...and people seem to just run Arcane Nullifier these days...and as a Harrow main on Eidolon hunts, I feel betrayed by said people...

Those are all the ones I can think of.

People still bring harrow, he is very good because his 4 also gives 50% cc to body shots which helps the DPS volt break limbs

You can run ESO for focus if you get lucky with a team that actually stays for 8 waves.

Banshee is good for boosting your amp damage with Sonar.

You can be useful in an Eidolon fight if you kill Vomvalysts with the Mote amp until you get a proper amp, just spam the Teralyst hunt with pugs until then.

Sonar does not work on eidolons. They are immune to warframe abilities. Use volt if you want to buff amp damage. His shields give 200% cd

  10. You can play as the dps volt, they aren't required to shoot shields and don't rly need a good amp. All you need is a sniper like a lanka, rubico p, vectis p, vulkar wraith (if u have cc ms - riven) and mod it for heat-crit.

The reason you mod for heat and not radiation is because volt's 1 with augment gives electric dmg which will combine with the heat and make rad. You don't want to use an electric mod on ur wep because there are other mods that will give more dmg than it.

Dps volt build is vig swap, shock trooper, 200-300% str, and a bit of duration. Rest is utility/survivability.

Use the unairu focus school with the unairu wisp node and spawn wisps by void blasting the eidolon for the rest of your squad to use. This will buff the amp damage of whoever picks up the wisps by 100%.

The fastest way to farm focus is through eidolons as there is no daily cap but this won't work for you as of now. The next best way is to equip a nuke frame (equinox, saryn, volt etc.) and go into eso with a focus lens on your warframe and on the weapons you're using.

To rank your amp go to helene and kill enemies with it.

feels like eidolons is pve conclave equivalent. aka dead.

some significant bugs exist since always, some hang for 1.5 year already, some appear after every huge patch. some being fixed only partly, some not fixed at all.

that not only ruins your gameplay, but also making you stick to a very narrow amount of properly working frames/weapons/amps.

rewards not worth it because of scarlet spear ruined market completely. so in plat/arcane matters it's way faster to gain same plat different way (and exchange it for arcanes if needed)

so eidolons in current state only worth for leveling focus over the daily cap.

People don't really do eidolons for rewards, they do it because it's fun and imo the most engaging piece of content in warframe currently.

If I wanted to build a network of people to accomplish a task I'd be playing a traditional holy trinity MMO like WoW.

I've always been a pick-up type person, a guy you meet at the crossroads for a common goal and likely never see again.

It just isn't worth it to me to spend more time trying to find people than actually doing things, and that is just me specifically I'm talking about.

I mean it doesn't take much time to just friend request people who you hunt with that are good but if that's not your thing I can respect that. Different people like to play the game different ways.

  13. 2 minutes ago, Aldain said:

More trouble of finding a team than it is worth in the end to me.

To this day all I ever do is the occasional pick-up Teralyst with randoms, and that is rare on its own.

Once you hunt for a while you will find people who are good and them you can add them and slowly build your network. Then you'll have a bunch of people who you can hunt with whenever

    My favourite boss Battle.

Unfortunately i have no reasons to do It.

I have no reason to do it either, yet I still do it anyways because its very fun for me and that is the reason why I play warframe in the first place, I don't need any rewards. New rewards would be nice though to help revive hunting as there are way fewer people hunting than before scarlet spear because there is no real reason to do it other than focus and for fun

Oh yea definitely thanks for clarifying. I should have said if volt is present build for crit and fire.

But the actual eidolon is "weak" to radiation damage.

It is also not too hard to just get the 123 amp if you don't have fortuna. It is the best amp if you don't have fortuna parts

  16. 1 minute ago, (PS4)CrazyBeaTzu said:

People leave lures charged at the door because the eidolon kills them and you have to void dash or archwing across the plains to get more and re charge them, which takes forever because vomvalysts take forever to spawn.

A charged lure is like gold in a tridolon run (although too many gets in the way of sniping and is really annoying, dont get more than 6 lures)

No lol. Dont further complicate this. Any amp that's not the Mote amp is fine. The shield is for amplifying the amps damage. You dont even need to get the best amp parts from Fortuna. Just kill or capture teralyst and turn the sentient cores into the Quills.

Just do it once or twice a week is all.

For sniper builds just put point strike for crit, crit damage like Vital sense, and radiation which is fire and electricity. Theres other stuff but just put crit, crit damage and radiation.

You don't want to build rad if playing volt as storm only adds 90% elec dmg, you want to build heat crit. There are mods that will give way more dmg like heavy caliber, argon scope, vigilante armaments etc. Now you're going to say "But then you won't have radiation". Remember though that volt's 1 with augment gives bonus electric dmg which will combine with the heat and make rad

I hate it because of the time limit, and then the hour plus wait to do it again.

If it was accessible like the fortuna bosses, yeah, I would get back into doing them and not feel bad because someone didn't bring the right equipment which is downright punishing with the time limit.

I would even help new players just doing the teralyst if there was no time limit.

And after Scarlett spear, the excuse "but everyone will swim in arcanes" is irrelevant.

The main reason why I think if they removed the time limit it would be bad is because then it would remove all competitiveness. No more 5x3's 6x3s etc. Nobody would be compelled to do them efficiently cuz no time limit

interesting! didn't know Volt's shield actually combined the damage types, I assumed they were dealt separate. thanks!

Not volt's shield. With just his aug1 alone it will combine with the pure heat on ur wep and make radiation. The bonus elec dmg from his shield is slightly bugged and won't combine if your weapon is a hitscan weapon but will if it is a projectile weapon. extra elec dmg if ur wep is hitscan is still fine though as the eidolon's health take 50% bonus dmg from electric dmg

(disclaimer; I'm gonna be talking about this as if it's a set Meta, because it kinda-sorta is if you want things done efficiently. if you don't have the equipment I specify, don't worry, you can work towards it, or find alternatives, I'm going off what i'd use because it's easier to explain. I apologise in advance if any of this info is outdated, if it is, then others feel free to call me out on it, it's been ages since my last Eidolon hunt and the meta may have changed in a bunch of places. wouldn't hurt for me to know what's changed either!)

    - regarding frame, it depends on what "role" you want. Volt uses his shields to increase Amp DPS to take down the Eidolon shields. he's also good for retrieving the lures quickly. Chroma is normally used as a buffer to increase the team's damage. Harrow is typically brought as a both a buffer and to protect the team from the Eidolon's Magnetic AoE at the end of a damage phase. Trinity is usually brought for keeping lures alive. you will also see the occasional Rhino as a buffer, and Oberon as a healer, since Hallowed Ground can be used by players with rage to get energy from the magnetic AoE.

    - regarding your weapon, most hunters I know use either Lanka or Rubico Prime, Lanka is considered the go-to Eidolon gun. the main reason is because Eidolons soak up physical damage, whereas pure elemental damage is always effective. you do not NEED a Riven mod for it, but one helps. if your Vectis Prime is all you have, build it for Crit and add Radiation damage (that's Heat + Shock damage.)

    - regarding Amp tiers the numbers are referring to the parts used to make the Amp: the first Number is the Prism, the second is the Scaffold (alt fire) the third number is the Brace (the stat boost). the numbers go in the order that the parts unlock (1 = first unlock, 2 = second unlock etc.) . numbers 1-4 are parts from the Quills, which you get through Onkko. numbers 5-7 are parts from Vox Solaris, which you get from Little Duck. the Amp meta is probably different from how it use to be, I still use my old 223 setup, but I know different setups are used by meta squads now. it's just as important to get yourself a good Virtuous Arcane to go on your Amp as well, as that can be a huge boost.

ultimately though, your best bet would be to try and search for a group that is willing to take you on a hunt and explain the systems to you. that's easier said than done, but if you can find people willing to take the time out to help you, then that would be ideal. good luck, and have fun!

New team comp is dps volt, VS volt, harrow, trinity/wisp. Chroma takes too long to get his vex armour buff because of the self dmg changes. Wisp is brought over trinity at high lvls because lures don't take much dmg and wisp provides many more useful buffs than trinity. Dps volt mods for vig swap, shock trooper, 200-300% str and some duration.

Lanka is no longer used in high lvl hunts because it can't hit water spawn limbs but it is still a great beginner weapon. The most frequently brought weapons now are vectis p, rubico p, and vulkar wraith (if u have a cc ms - riven). You don't want to build for radiation as it is a waste of a mod slot because volt's 1 with augment gives electric dmg which will combine if u build pure heat to make rad. There are many other mods that will give more dmg than stormbringer so that is why we don't just keep it.

Meta amp and amp arcane now is the 177 and virtuos shadow.
