  1. This is one of the older maps and very small. For Syndicate missions, there will be five (5) trophies, four of which will be in a series of corridors outside the main Interception area. The fifth trophy seems to spawn inside a secret room next to B control point. There are a series of crated openings you can see through, but not shoot out. It appears one opening is blocked by an enormous crane-type machine.

Any idea how to get in?

Remember to check your nvidia control panel settings....

LOL. Totally forgot to. Would have been the first thing I did after installing the game, back in the day! But it turns out that NVidia has made some changes to their 3D management: many of the items that would have been shut off or turned down are now on or maximized, as if someone finally realized that no one buys a $500 dollar graphics card to keep the electric bill down a couple cents each month! Remember how it would always default to a power savings mode? Not anymore—the global setting is Optimal Power.

The only thing I saw I thought should be on was Triple Buffering. I've not noticed this causing anything negative in game, so I will leave it alone for now.

I did shut off Anti Aliasing through the Display menu, and the frame rates jumped up by a fair margin. That seems to have been enough to make me happy for now.

  3. Everything that can be on is on.

I've one of the older i950-series processors, 12GB RAM, and a 780 GTX with 3GB VRAM. Performance has been fair enough, unless there was a lot of Infested blowing up around me—until I reinstalled Windows and lost my Warframe settings.

Performance was pretty bad, afterward. Turning VSYNC off helped. I think I should cut Anti-Aliasing, as I'm running at 2K, which is fairly sharp by itself. Maybe there is something else I might run off, instead?

  4. For the past month or two, I've been having trouble finding every Syndicate trophy available in a mission. It had been rare that I would not find them all, now it is rare that I do.

I can understand this is possible on some maps, maps which have grown very large in recent months, with new, complex tiles added to them.

I generally play Sindicate missions solo, to avoid trolls.

That said, and only very lately, I'm not finding everything in even simple Grineer tile sets, after running back through two and three times. It is as if some trophies are spawning outside the map.

Any trophy hunters notice the same?

  5. It is as if the changes were designed by people who do not play the game.

If this goes through, it will mark the point at which I stop playing Warframe. I've already spent too much time and money on it, so this isn't such a bad thing.

  6. I'm not certain about the other two, but Cephalon Suda data are randomly appearing with missing textures and effects. The vertical faces of the trophies will be invisible, rendering the trophies themselves largely invisible. The tops will be black with ugly gradated green spots. The interior blue "fire" effect is present on higher tier trophies, but none of the trophies have the familiar blue glow. I have seen this on an Infested/Corpus tile set and an Orokin tile set.

I have seen Steel Meridian trophies without the red/orange band and glow as well, also on a Corpus tile set, maybe a week ago.

  7. So for future generations, at least until the star chart is changed up again:

    Olympus Blue Pigment:

    • Mercury\Odin Interception. Try to drag the rounds out long as possible for the most spawns and the most drops. After four rounds, the Lancers will be over level 14 and will no longer drop pigment.
    • Mercury\Elion Capture. Enemies never stop spawning, and I think Lancers will remain level 7 to 9. It's not the most exciting of missions, but you can stay until you have enough pigment or can no longer stand the slow pace.

Obviously, the reason this pops up in a Google search is because people have a problem getting Olympus Blue, because for many of us, fighting such low-level enemies is something we would never think to do, beyond an occasional Alert mission. Same problem with Glacial Blue—you have to go after the very lowest level Crewmen (Venus\V Prime would likely be a safe bet).

  8. Yeah, Ceres is going to be too high for an endless mission run. Lancers have to be under level 15. No Elite, Arid, or Frontier Lancers, which negates Mars and Earth, in addition to many higher level maps.

The only low-level Grineer endless mission I have found is Mercury\Odin, which is an Interception. The pigments will drop there, but not that many in a solo game. Still, better than none at all.

I could run a number of Exterminate, Rescue, Sabotage, or Capture missions, but the 20% drop rate is low enough I'm not sure those runs would be worthwhile.

I'll go kill Captain Vor to see how it might work out. It's a waste of time; very few pigments for very few enemies.

A Capture mission might work out, as the enemies never stop spawning.

  9. Lancers: Olympus Blue Pigment

Supposedly, Lancers are the most common of all Grineer, as Crewmen are the most common of all Corpus.

I've probably killed hundreds in the past two days.

Not a single Lancer has dropped Olympus Blue Pigment. I've had a similar problem in the past, trying to find the magical Unicorn Crewmen who drop Glacial Blue.

Does anyone know where to hunt the magical Unicorn Lancers who drop pigment?

    Thanks!

  10. Sorry, no Photobucket screen shot.

Today's (12-31-17) Sortie part C was challenging because crewmen would not leave one particular storeroom once spawned. This is the storeroom with two lockers opposite the entry and up to several breakable chests. If the first set of crewmen spawn there, the mission does not progress, as far as I know. I had to abort one mission because of the bug. The bug affected the next mission, but only one of the later groups that was supposed to report to station B first. Other groups would report to station C and get rescued eventually.

It is possible that after several minutes, the trapped crewmen would spontaneously exit the storeroom. I saw a second group moving on the map, though I was not with them to verify their origin.

    Thank you.

I hope I never have to play with ignorant people like you.

I understand you can get away with this because you are insulting someone with a criticism of the game. Those insults are allowed.

You've been playing since October. Two whole months. It is possible that your target has a little more experience than you.

Just don't do public matchmaking if you can't handle it.

Yeah, because Heaven forbid DE actually step up to the plate and fix one of their greatest mistakes.

I don't much care for the entitled thinking that places Limbo above every other player in the game. "Everyone else can play around me!" Really? It's rather convenient to claim there is no problem when you are the one causing the problem.

    Actually sounds like our President.

Pro tip, you can still use abilities to hit enemies on both sides of the rift.

Pro tip, kills are not everything unless it's an exterminate.

Pro tip, the stats screen means nothing so long as the mission is complete.

Pro tip, stasis is good in bursts and most limbos use it in bursts.

Wow! Are you a real professional gamer? How much money do you make playing Warframe?

Whenever anyone offers a "Pro tip," I tune out everything they say. "Pro tip" may work on television, in commercials, but in video games offering "pro tips" comes off as pompous and condescending—whether intended or not.

Limbo is a troll frame. At times, I suspect it was designed—at least in part—to troll other players. It could be the case that Limbo is nothing more than bad design uncorrected out of spite or pride, but the reasons why no longer matter. Limbo is a troll frame. Most everything he does irritates other players and lessens the game experience overall.

The worst trolling is having Limbo prevent advancing a mission. Yes, in all their wisdom, DE included a warframe that can put a complete halt to many mission types. They've not addressed the situation, perhaps out of spite, or pride, or because they are busy creating fishing mini-games, or because someone decided that fixing a bad frame does not make any money. Yeah. All good reasons, right?

The Cataclysm Nuke didn't last long, fortunately, but Stasis has lasted, because changing it would amount to admitting yet another a bad design decision and require resources needed to monetize every other part of the game. Freezing enemies isn't anything new, but freezing enemies and preventing other players from harming them (however temporarily) is at odds with all other game meta.

Most of the time I encounter a Limbo player, he is not bringing anything to the game other than irritation. Most generally, I have to work to avoid his Cataclysm bubble and Stasis. Occasionally, I encounter a Limbo player who wants to dominate the team and insists everyone play a role under his command. I always let that Limbo player know what I think of him before leaving the game.

As you may have gleaned from some of the responses, there are players who really enjoy having a frame that places them in charge of the entire squad.

Not every Limbo player is a troll. Some are. Many do not know any better. A few stay in control and use Limbo to beneficial the squad, but these are exceptions to the rule.

I preferred the original Limbo to the new Stasis version, but the original Limbo was a pain, as well. Remember not being able to get pickups? That was a blast. Being cast into the Rift, over and over and over? I have to wonder who signs off on all this.

At least Gara was Nerfed into oblivion, so her opaque Mass Vitrify should appear infrequently in our games. Glad I didn't spend Platinum getting her!

now you're deflecting - your reason given is bubkis. nothing has changed, the Missions are as they were years ago.
so... just say you want more stuff. that's what you're asking for, so just say it. don't veil it behind untrue claims.

What I'm saying is untrue because . . . you say so? Who are you that commands such authority over the rest of us? Is this your game? Are you on the design team? Professional gamer?

I've played the game since it was in Beta. I think I have the sense to realize it has changed. Unless you would like to reveal yourself out as the lead designer, I don't see your opinion weighing more than mine.

You clearly have a vested interest in seeing grind increase, I will give you that.

    because nothing has changed.

For you? If you were the only one who played the game, or the only one who matters, your point would be valid.

I realize you have an obvious passion for the game, but the game cannot be designed around you, alone.

The list of people who benefit from obscene drop rates and resource availability is a rather short one. Those who would benefit from one minor change are legion, but perhaps they just don't matter?

you're harping on the drama pretty hard - people speedrunning are completing the Missions in about the same time as they always have.

So everyone is a speed runner, now? I had no idea.

Your reply begs the question: Why is it important  to you that drops are not adjusted for the larger map sizes and longer mission lengths? Would you suffer a pay cut as a result? Do you have a lot of mods you need to sell?

    giant such as..... Capture Missions?
because those are basically the Missions with the largest World Seeds.

it's not like Acolytes appear in Eidolon or anything. none of the new Tilesets you're referring to since the Event are even valid locations for them to appear (Orokin Moon, Grineer Fortress, Eidolon).

No, buddy, they are taking old maps and doubling, tripling, and quadrupling tile use, sticking more and more of the same together to create some HUGE maps we didn't see a year back or more. And DE are constantly creating new tiles and sticking those into old maps. I'm not talking about the Plains at all. The "old" maps are in a constant state of growth, and they are getting big. BIG.
