Yes. They can do this. Although there's a limited selection of weapons they can use, apparently, I imagine that list includes most Grineer weapons.

Although I like the idea, I basically just read --> let's add more grind to the game.

But different prime helmets would be interesting indeed. I just don't know if it is possible lore-wise and stuff. I currently only have one frame where I don't like the helmets and it's not a prime either. I'm looking at you Zephyr...

 

it adds more grind to the game if it would be a random drop at the void, but if it were done like the rest of the alt helmets (with alerts) it wouldn't.
