  1. ChangYou is growing up! They've learned how to do spoilers :D

Definitely excited for another Mara to get the spotlight. While I like the Prisma series better in itself, it was getting a bit repetitive.

It may have been a graphics glitch or something, but there are not "rounds/grenades" visible in the clip.

  2. From what DE has released information wise, it's *just* Excalibur Umbra. There is no "Umbra Prime", just "Umbra".

Basically, Umbra has gold Prime like bits, and the Chinese version of the game will have Excalibur and Excalibur Umbra. Excalibur Umbra is to them what Excalibur Prime is to us, the only difference is that it seems like we're going to be getting Excalibur Umbra after a time while it remains as a founder only piece for the Chinese version... And that the Chinese version of the game won't be getting our Excalibur Prime.

So, does this mean that its a time sensitive exclusive when we get it? or would it be added to the droptables? Believe it or not, many people assume that its a drop to compensate for the "founder only" Excalibur prime.

  3. This. Even the PA Accesories may come back in future PA. And for the snipetron, I don't see it coming back mostly because the whole lore breaking part. I could see them re writing the lore and releasing it or the vandal in an event though. This would cause a lot of salt from special snowflakes though....

Why? they've had their fun with it WAY in advance to us, and most probably dont even use it anymore in favor of more "recent" additions. If its any consolation, the first players who had the weapon can show how enemies can go from alive to rekt with their 6-8 forma'd Vandaltron.

  4. there used to be hate on limbo on pc, but like emniclam said, after being able to leave banish out of your own will, that pretty much went away. Takes a skilled player to use him and a competent one to know how he basically works, so I can see why console players might hate him (no offense to you of course, seeing as you probably like him enough to take the time to understand him)

I often get players in missions who keep telling me to turn it off despite them not getting shredded by t4 spawns, its sad really, they complain so much over their precious energy balls when i can banish them, giving them virtually limitless energy.

  5. The one that requesting high MR are a total idiot.

you don't compare games skill lvl with actual human skill lvl.

Look at it this way. My current clan actually take low mr to raid. Doing raid chat and taught them step by step on how to do raid. And they actually doing it better then most people.

So how can you judge this with MR?

    You cant.

people need to change their attitude towards others.

I blame DE for implementing such a system

Not really something DE created intentionally. Similar to keyshares, its something the players developed in a way to conserve time and boost efficiency. Remember when Mesa launched? That was my first encounter with keyshares, which were moderately rare before mesa keys came out.

Point is, the MR requirement is something that the players developed when tenno figure something out the first time, and think everyone else who doesn't, isn't competent enough to join randomly, so they look for a thing that "resembles" experience, which in this case, it doesn't. Thats the logic in a nutshell.

The main issue here is not the MR requirement itself, its that players are confusing normal play (everything none-raid), which mostly has little to no rules or even stages while raid (a game element that has actual rules applied) does require precise coordination. Using MR shows no experience of Raids as opposed to other content and just having weapons unlocked. the ONLY exceptions are the Raid badges, and there's no way to show it on the liset, or in your profile*(i think profile has a count of raids completed)

  6. I personally think Nikana is the only weapon that will ever receive a Dragon variant.

Nikana is a very significant weapon, for a lot of reasons, and Dragon is the 'perfect' version of it.

So far, thats because its the only one of its kind currently. Its a new element of "upgrading"  to a model 2, also given that this is a non-prime weapon. Similar to how tiers work, its the second variant of a weapon while keeping its original name and with stronger stats. Kind of like the Dex, Quanta or Wraith (not counting Prime) weapons except there's a blueprint for that.

Currently, this is on a tenno weapon. Theoretically, there could be a "dragon" version for grineer and corpus respectively, maybe infested.

  7. MR indicates you were able to pass the MR tests.  The tests are solo and there is nowhere to hide in a party.  Some of the tests require skill in order to pass.

MR also indicates you've played a lot in order to farm and build items.

Mastery rank tests are also easily abused. With the enemies often no harder than the AI from mid tier planets, all it takes is for a certain frame to be picked, like mirage on mastery tests 14-16 for example. There's nothing that requires skill in these test; you're just getting a gold star-sticker for doing basic mechanical functions of the game. Unless you want to consider using abilities at the right time, or jumping at the right time as a skill. otherwise dojo and pvp are part of the few components that require "skill"( despite the state that its in due to spamming attacks on certain melee loadouts), because unlike the mastery tests, there's no guide online to tell you how to do it, because you are against players, not AI. Ultimately, most plays want the mastery rank for bragging rights and wanting to feel special or superior to others because a bigger number is used to compensate, in addition to the +1 trade. Remember, anyone can level weapons up, that takes no skill, its just time played, that's all. And most Tenno are all about efficiency, so they will either practice how to do the test in the relay, or look up are "recommended approach" online. Even if someone hasn't used those sources, its just a matter of rinse and repeat until you get it right. Mastery 8 was the last point of "interesting" since at weapons are unlocked at that point.

I agree with what you're saying, but claiming that it takes skill to perform a static task, does not constitute as mastering something, which is ironic in the purpose of a mastery rank test.

If DE could, they need to rework the mastery rank test system, that actually requires some level of tactical element, preferably on the scale of what raids do, except a solo version.

  8. Spy missions should have more incentive to work in fewer numbers if you are going to encourage "true" spy play. More numbers of course means increased convenience, but that has been the only option (or better yet, preferable mindset) when engaging spy missions, while at the same time, working alone means less mistakes and better self coordination to ensure a successful mission, however with rewards being the same, there's nothing to favor soloing spy missions, and efficiency turns to be the better "incentive" in itself when working with others

Also, we need some Lightsabers for our beloved space ninjas...*hint* *hint*
