  1. A light frame? You mean like the one we already have? Mirage?

And the first time he was teased they talked about colors, not light, its an important differentiation. He is based on the chromatic dragons from d&d.

Yes and no, Mirage is themed as a Trickster. I see what you mean with her relation to light, but also remember that DE was going for the Smoke and Mirrors approach to her powers as stated in one of their previous Devstreams.

Edit: My mistake immolaror1001, Chroma is color, and I completely forgot about Mirage. and Loki who was the trickster.

I have nothing against Chroma's design; it has a nice "feral" touch, although most people consider it wrong to relate this design to a dragon.

But at this point, we should not consider this a Dragon Frame. Obviously this design in no way, excluding the tail, resembles a dragon. The first time Chroma was teased, his powers were said to be based on light. What we have is a Light Frame, not a dragon.

Technically, we could still get our Dragon, There are a lot of players who despise the model, and complaints are be posted by the minute, to the point where DE would have to look into it. If we as the players are successful in getting the Devs to look into this, DE would either update the model, or classify him as a Light Frame, as he should be, and make the next frame a dragon.

In past Devstreams, when a frame was teased with a concept, the results were usually accurate, and the models often had a symbolic reference to there concepts.

    ex: Mesa-Gunslinger, Zepyhr- Wind, Hydroid-Water/Pirate, Ember-Fire,etc

Even so, The concepts influence both the model AND it's powers. I can't see how Light is tied with a dragon, other than breathing fire.

Chroma's powers are also more solid evidence of why His theme is light, not a Dragon. His powers, as stated by the Devs, are introducing a new mechanic where colors defined what type of damage his moves inflicted.  NOT something that can synergize well with a Dragon.

We were promised a Dragon frame. And most of us who watched Tennolive were excited to see it, but after the reveal, even most of the audience seemed to be dumbfounded with silence at what they saw. Yes most of us thought there would be some likeliness to a European or Asian dragon, but realistically, Chroma's model looks more like an amphibious  mammal, and most people prefer and love to call him an anteater, I prefer to call him a Ninja Wookie.

What are your thoughts on Chroma? Do you think he should be considered a Light Frame? Or can you give me reasons to why this looks anything like a dragon?

  3. I actually though of how something like this could work; when you select it in you loadout, it takes two weapon slots(secondary, and melee). During battle it would retain the normal weapon switch functions, but the hybrid weapon in question, would be drawn out differently depending on which weapon is already out. For example:  Primary->melee, and secondary-> melee would have unique animations.

  4. Curious as to what those 'more motivating rewards' should/could be? Any suggestions?

How about a skin that "grows" when you gain more energy? My idea is more or less an upgrade to the rift sigil. Better yet, how about a sigil that gives off a bright aura from replenishing shields, and gradually dims when you shields are full. The point is, the best rewards are the ones that do something cool besides it looking pretty....and being a rhino tramp stamp.........

  5. Certain weapons that were in the closed beta stage (Braton Vandal & Snipetron Vandal) are and will always be exclusive and for PC only that is something that was stated a few times already. Wraith weapons, event weapons are open to return anytime whether or not that happens is up to DE.

Joining in Jan'14 as you have does not mean that you immediately deserve access to gear from 2 yrs ago.

Now regarding loyal players, firstly I play everyday for more than 2 yrs. After work, helping my kids with their school stuff and their activities I have every right too play. I do not play for an unhealthy amount of hours as you call it, still I am loyal even if it is only for 15 minutes to check on my clan & alliance stuff and meet up with my staff to make sure all is well.

Yeah I stumbled on the game in Dec 2012 but did not start playing till Feb 2013 guess what though it doesn't matter whether or not someone is playing daily they got the special gear at the time because they were hear its that simple that has nothing to do with loyalty but a matter of being a player at the right time. As for not playing do you even know or can you even tell who is playing vs who is not? No you can't so don't state that people are not loyal because they are not playing.

Some weapons (boar, snipetron, etc.) could make a comeback as quests, but no weapon would even be put in for just platinum because that makes it a Pay 2 Play and DE will not go that route for good reasons.

You want to be a collector? well I guess you can start your collection now, but you can't go back and ask for exclusives to be returned because you were not here.

  6. You know, people really shouldn't take "the community agrees this weapon is OP" as gospel. People widely consider Boltor Prime OP and then when DE did a poll they found that the lion's share of responders said nope, it's fine. :\

Theres a reason for the synoid's stat. All syndicate weapons are meant to be abnormally stronger than their normal variants. Except the Ballistica.

  7.  [Devstream Question] ---So far we roughly know the technical aspects of the focus system, are there going to be any special visual impacts on the warframe to show other players that they are in focus or are in process of doing so (Transforming)? Like a special animation for each frame entering focus. AKA Super Saiyan Aura for the tenno? Or customizable armor  parts that only shows during focus.

Or maybe something simple like a custom focus palette swap during focus?

    some ideas:

    a snarling, buffer muscled rhino

    a mini cyclone around zepyhr

    swords/rocks floating around excal/mag respectively

    Ember covered in fire

    Radial Discharge for Volt

    After image effect for mirage

Mesa showing off her guns in an intimidating fashion

valkyr grows a tail and longer craws, and moves like a lion/tiger/big cat chasing prey

nekros gets a robe/ cloak syandana with souls floating around

I really want to know tomorrow how the team is handling focus animation-wise and grahpically.

    also: Hi Rebecca!

  8. Although DE has said that any frame is eligible to be primed, this could also be inferred for clan-tech. Clan tech from the tenno lab are weapons made by the tenno anyway. And the Dragon Nikana is just a buffed version of the original, not its own class of weaponry, since the Dragon prefix is used to differentiate between the two...Although it brings an interesting concept to potential upgrading of weapons not restricted to just clan tech.

  9. During a defense mission, I complimented a fellow teammate's Quantum Badge, introduced back in Tethra's Doom, and he told me that it was nothing special, and I asked why. He said that he wished that awesome features were implemented in the badge. He didn't like the fact that all the Quantum Badge did was "shone little tentacles that only waved back and forth, virtually calling it bland. Back in Tethra's Doom, I only went as far as getting all of the event mods and the Gorgon Wraith, but didn't care about the new Quantum Badge until I saw almost everyone in my clan had won. Currently I'm hoping for a new quantum badge in the upcoming event for Alad V to make up for Tethra's Doom. Then I suddenly came up with a concept that my teammate, and the rest of my party said was sick.

My concept was to be very significant exclusive to the upcoming Event:

-instead of the standard Quantum badge which resembles an explosion or a Fomorian core, the Infested Quantum would be a bud shaped badge with infested design

The special effects would be applied to the Infested Quantum badge as follows:

-the bud's roots would ""grow" on your warframe over time.

-the length and thickness of the roots would depend on how many shields/health you have.

-depleted shields and low health would cause these roots to wither away and dangle off of the frame, where they would break off and regrow on your frame.

-gathering energy/health orbs would cause the roots to pulse and the bud grows gradually

-picking up/activating life support would cause the bud to "blossom"

    - while idle the roots would grow onto the floor, wall, even onto fellow teammates.

-teammates with the Infested Quantum would grow roots on each other and would "leech/siphon" energy to whoever doesn't have maxed energy

    - the Infested Quantum would "drag"  a few pickups (max: 3) when you walk by them, to resemble the infested's nature to consume.

If you guys think that this would make the next Event more rewarding, although its a cosmetic, share this thread so the devs will take note.
