  1. @GlitchySynergy: It isn't really a bug. Ragdolled enemies can still be hit and damage is dealt, but numbers don't show. Numbers show again whan they get back up

    After watching the video, yes, in Vortex that shouldn't happen.

    nope, although what you said happened too some patches before. now they dont take damage at all from bullets or melee at least, the same goes with crowd dispersion/pull i can record those as well if you dont believe.

    Here is a video showing the bug. Everytime i use vortex and other ragdolling skills, enemies ragdolled become invincible or at least their hitbox moves somewhere else. This only happens when im a client, when i play solo or hosting everything is normal. Also this doesnt seem to happen to other people for some reason. Its really annoying...

     

    it may be hard to watch in lower qualities, use 720p.

  3. i just got him to 30, he's pretty good for high level survival and defense missions. tesla's damage is fine i think, dont forget each tesla has multiple charges and you can put as many as you want, plus they stun enemies. the damage really falls in higher levels but the same goes for any skill that doesnt have armor ignore and we all know this is going to be looked at. the rest of his skill are very useful, bounce not thaaat much but can open some shortcuts in maps, getting rid of toxics near the pod, trolling teammates....

  4. when i use bladestorm,

    -i see my sentinel die when it touches a toxic ancient

    -i see myself dying because toxic ancients gather at the place where i will return

    -i have difficulty in estimating how long it takes (is it 2 or 4 sips of my coffee)....

    -i do like how my carrier get all pickups around the field in such short time

    -i really like the animations (a bit like v.a.t.s. in fallout)

  5. By the same token, it seems you don't know a thing about polite discussion. For your information, Ash was the first frame I built and is easily my favourite - Blade Storm is partially why. Quite frankly I don't care that it isn't the most 'efficient' way to deal damage compared to other methods, or that it's slow. It looks great and offers something beyond just 'press a button, things die', which more of the ultimates should aspire to.

     

    Ash does not need to change to be more like other frames, and certainly does not need any readjustment at a time when several frames border on unplayable (Ember, Trinity, Volt). I'd argue that all Blade Storm needs is some refinement of the individual animations, but other than that, it is spot on. The coolest ultimate in the game, bar none, in my eyes.

    what it offers is auto pilot for several seconds as you stare into your screen watching things die, exactly like all other damaging ubers only it has no special effect like stun and takes too long to finish, how is it different again? i just want it to be useful and i explained several times here and in my topic why its not. if you had checked my suggestion you would know i dont want it to be like other ubers... oh wait you already did....

My mistake on the constitution, somehow got that mixed up.  Regardless, as I stated above, which you evidently did not read at all, in very high level missions, you need shield regeneration in that time period because when you finish, more likely then not you are EXTREMELY vulnerable.  Not quite as vulnerable as Volt, but still very vulnerable.  If in that time you did not regenerate your shields, you would most likely be hit much harder by the inevitable bullet storm that will hit you.  Also fun fact, smoke screen crits only count with swords, dps isn't everything, because if it was there would be literally no reason to use almost any powers, and you are not immune to CC attacks when invisible, which, if you are surrounded by heavy units, can pretty much instantly kill you the moment you become visible through knockdown followed by high damage attacks.  

     

    I really am baffled as using gunplay primarily as invisible ash, as it makes it literally a straight downgrade to loki's invisibility.  If I understand you correctly, your tactic is to use it when surrounded, jump out, and then open fire on the stunned enemies?  In other words, the first part of your strategy is solely based on wasting valuable seconds of your invisibility to do the same thing a loki would do?  In fact, its even worse, because a stunned enemy is much harder to hit in the weakspot (unless its an infested ancient).

     

    Regardless, your final words indicate that your jimmies are pretty rustled for some reason, just because you lost an argument to someone on the internet.

  7. Why are you shooting when invisible?  You have literally no benefit compared to loki when doing so, who gets a longer invisiblity time.

     

    And its around 3000 with max focus and constitution, which you should at least have the former.  

     

    Also the only time I can imagine the extra time having a negative impact on you is on high level solo defense.  There is literally no other circumstance that comes to mind where having time to deal ~3000 armor ignoring damage on 13 enemies while invulnerable, and recovering any lost shields, will severely hurt you.

     

    Now I know the immediate response is "well what if one of your teammates go down?", to which I would respond, wait for the animation to finish, smoke screen, revive.  The added benefit to that smokescreen is that if the enemy is doing something bad, namely like destroying the defense cryopod next to, it staggers all of them and buys you time.

     

    Then again, if you are playing ash on defense, you might want to rethink your strategy.  Not every warframe is best cut out for every mission.  I wouldn't hesistate to bring a frost along on a high level defense or MD, but I many be a bit hesitant to do the same on an assassination mission, particularlly for someone like lech kril.

    im shooting when im invisible because guns have better dps, if im finished with slashing multiple enemies then guns kill faster. with focus its 2600 damage, constituion only affects power duration what are you talking about? the extra time always has an impact, as i said countless times you kill a lot faster and efficient with the rest of your arsenal, you dont need to regenerate your shields with bladestorm, you can go freaking invisible. and im playing ash on every mission. i stated objective facts, if you want to continue replying with random nonsense go on, im done.

    When is 3000 armor ignoring damage on 13 targets worthless?

     

    Its a hell of a lot better than volt's ult, or mag's ult.  

     

    Smokescreen is pretty decent, but its pretty hard to get 13 targets by the time you are done, unless you are doing like venus or mercury, or all your targets are light infested.

    first of all its 2000 damage and varies between enemies. obviously its not just the damage that counts, it takes too long to switch targets, too long to finish the whole cast. by that time you couldve done more damage and faster with the rest of your abilities, play ash and you will see, unless you already played ash but didnt use him as best as you could. its not better than any uber in the game, at least volts, mags, frosts, banshees do their work at mid low levels. bladestorm is crap at every level.

     

    also you say its hard to hit 13 targets with smokescreen as if it works the same with bladestorm. with smoke screen you can shoot or melee and the mini stun allows you to get in position to hit multiple opponents with melee. thats basically when you should use it, clear groups with high damage melee attacks since ash has no faster way to deal with groups. or of course for stealth or escapes.

  9. If it turns into "press 4 to kill everything" like Rhino, then I would just have to play Loki. The style involved with the current Ash ultimate makes it "better" in some respects than the other ultimate attacks. It depends on what you define "better" as being.

     

    I wouldn't have the assassin frame nuking everything on the map. It wouldn't make any sense. I wouldn't change the mechanics of it at all. If people keep complaining about how they can't kill everything on the map with their stealthy frame, then I suggest upping the speed, target count, how the targets are acquired, but never making it "shadows" or clones of Ash pulling him out of the strikes. That would make it a hollow sort of experience.

    i agree a massive CC uber does not fit ash at all, i have an idea about it check if you like through my profile>topics.

Of all the ults in the game, Ash's ult is one that needs the least attention.  The bad part about bladestorm isn't the time it takes, its the time after it.  If you activate it near a group of enemies, and you don't kill them all with bladestorm, then they immediately start firing on you when you teleport back.  While not a huge deal in low level content, in high level places like T3 void it can be a death sentence.  Pretty much your only chance at survival is if you have a high amount of shields and health, or you have a shade that immediately cloaks you.  The time that Bladestorm takes allows for your shields to recharge, and allows you to recollect yourself before jumping back into the action, especially if you have high shields that take time to recharge.

     

    Before we start screaming for a rework of bladestorm, let fix volt, or mag, or frost, or ember, or about half the other frames in the game.

     

    The only ults that feel really good now are Ash's Bladestorm, Rhino's Stomp, and maybe Nekros' SotD.

    bladestorm is useless.... you dont need invincibility you can go invisible from smoke screen, you kill faster with smoke screen + melee, shurikens and your weapons, there is no reason to use bladestorm. the damage is high compared to other ubers but worthless compared to what you can do with smoke screen and guns, plus its veeery slow. if you cant see that then maybe you dont play ash.

  11. I for one am completely satisfied with Blade Storm. It is the best ultimate in the game right now, because it is unique and visually very appealing. The damage it does is perfectly reasonable, and grants the player a useful break from the action when used, allowing them to regenerate shields and avoid damage. It's also superb at getting rid of hard-to-hit targets like Ospreys en masse.

    No functional changes are needed. DE should be concentrating on the frames that really need attention right now (Ember, Trinity, Volt) rather than tinkering with one who is already fine.

  12.  So, let's start the long writing...

    1. I started this tread because i wanted to see different builds for Rhino, and which one is the best all-arround build. Sorry if it wasn't clear enough for some people...

    2. Have i ever said that my Rhino is the best?! And maaan -.-" : "It isn't even maxed", buy some glasses *diot! Every skill what i have in this warframe is maxed out and it costed me not 1 million game money ;).

    3. Why i use these skills:

         I saw that not everybody has all the skills in its warframe? Why? Even if its without any boost stuff, a Rhino has strong and usefull skills.

        Sprint(+Vanguard) and Stamina: It makes me crazy when i see how fast a Loki, Nova or Volt is compared to Rhino. With the maxed Sprint and  that   helm I can reach an acceptable speed level, so that the others dont need to wait for me at the finish line(+ i can sprint for a very long time    :D).The stamina skill helps me to fight for more time with my meele weapon.

        Shield reg. skill: Probably not the best skill in the Warframe world, but not useless!: A Rhino with maxed Shield has exactly 1110 points(not with    vigor..) wich is very nice, and if you can get cover for 2-3 seconds too, with the +90% shield reg. its probably all regenerated again.

        Aura: Why i use that? Because i fight really much with my meele weapon and that +18% damage is not negligible.(And now it comes, the troll stuff: woo you dont have any good rifle? Ofc. i have, Ogris, Supra, Gorgon, Hek, Dread, Snipetron Vandal, But! mostly i use my maxed Acrid ^^). The energy siphon,.. nice stuff but i think its useless for Rhino, i get enough energy from the mobs.

        The maxed Steel fiber..if that's not good then what? The stupid low-mid level greneer can't even hit me. A 20-30 person group can do some inpact to my health.

    4.Youtube video: I get only dislikes, probably because they have not watched that video exactly, or they dont know what a polarity slot is, or they dont know what game Warframe is xD

     In that video I just wanted to show how my warframe's  skill build looks, that finally i could max those skills, and hear other people what suggest and what they build is, nothing like"Im the best!" -.-".

     So, trolls please better go to sleep, and dont waste your time, and other people's time.

    dont worry, i think the topic was nice and funny, people got to show their builds and compare. if some took it the wrong way away with them.

  13. Frankly we have enough explosions. Ash and Loki are silent killers. The biggest "explosion" Ash has is a smokescreen, and I'm more than fine with that.

    agreed, i have an idea for bladestorm thats not the usual cc uber, would be nice if you checked.

  14. i agree bladestorm is terrible, some people posted the same idea as yours but a bit different, although i have a suggestion of my own... i made a topic about it, check if you want. 

  15. Do you know that Ash is almost invulnerable during the slow animations? He can even pick up mods and energy while in his Bladestorm, making it one of the most unique Ulti. 

     

    He might kill slower as a result, but is able to regenerate shields and gain 'protection' while in his casting animation, like Nyx. 

    only he can do that with smoke screen already :D

    Allow ash to highlight targets or prioritize all Heavier Units in Range

     

    IIRC doesn't ashes Ult do the most raw damage (but isn't armor ignore?)

    it is serrated already i think and it ignores armor but still the damage and  time it takes to finish the uber cant compare to what you can do with smoke screen/shuriken and weapons.

  17. I have no issues with bladestorm....

     

    its unique, and a nice change to the usual press 4 flashy stuff for 1 second and continue, 

    but im not suggesting any uber like the usual massive CC. how can you not have issues with bladestorm? objectively it has no practical use except maybe when you face those weird burrowing enemies in phobos or a lot of ospreys/drones, the animations go back to the original ones and switches target very fast, other than that nope.

  18. Function > Form

     

    I have strongly considered only slotting smoke screen on my Ash. His abilities really do stink. This is exacerbated when you consider that his one useful ability is actually worse than Loki's version (apart from the fact that his doesn't stealth your sentinel, which may get fixed anyway). Despite it being the subject of much disdain, even radial disarm is better than bladestorm.

     

    To be fair, Ash isn't the only frame that may suffer from this problem. When abilities have to directly compete with weapons, they need to be a marked improvement. I guess the flashiness has its appeal. Perhaps that's reason enough for some people to utilize a given ability, but why can't we have our cake and eat it too, as so many frames already do?

     

    Right now if I choose to press bladestorm or shuriken, I'm basically expending energy in order to kill things slower than I otherwise could, had I simply used my weapons. It's worth noting hat the gap continues to widen as better and better weapons are introduced.

    shuriken is useful though, 2 targets at once and you save ammo, stuns ancients, cast while jumping or sliding so you dont lose time. still not a fan of the auto aim but the ability is ok. bladestorm on the other hand...
