Simply put, the Resource Booster on the shop needs to be clear and/or consistent about what is and is not doubled.
At the moment, the misleading description reads: Doubles the amount of resources you get from pickups.
A sincere description would read: Doubles the amount of some resources you acquire as well as some miscellaneous items. See third party websites for details.
Examples:
Riven Slivers are doubled. Why?
The only use for them is as a currency in Iron Wake. But sure, at least they are a drop to be picked up.
Cryotic is doubled as well. Why?
You do not pick it up - it is not dropped. To my knowledge, it is simply rewarded to you upon a successful excavation.
Endo is not doubled. Why?
At least it is a pickup. Also, it is not a currency at any shop. You simply put it into mods to increase their level.
One would think it was a resource pickup - nope, it is a mod drop according to the Mod Drop Chance Booster.
Juggernaut parts are not doubled. Why?
Said parts are used in crafting. These parts are not blueprints nor are they used for a straight up currency.
Sounds like a resource, right? Wrong.
Fish from harpooning are doubled. Why?
Sure, you literally pick them up when you catch them, but they are not labeled as a resource.
Fish, right along with Juggernaut parts, are labeled in-game at the inventory UI as miscellaneous.
So again, why are Juggernaut parts not affected?
I do not really care about any of the why - but the description of the Resource Booster has to make sense.
Imagine having a desire to farm Endo, Juggernaut parts or even Pathos Clamps. A resource booster might help, right? No.
How is your average customer supposed to know what is and is not affected? Third party websites?
An in-game UI that's labeling does not align with the Resource Booster's description?
I can attest this confusion has cost the support staff time and energy, thus costing DE money.
My interaction with support over the course of eleven days was pleasant and satisfactory, which is the only reason I am taking time out of my day to write this up.
I do hope this feedback is useful to the team.
