When applying the Zundi skin to the Hystrix Prime (and presumably the normal Hystrix too) the Zundi skin has two different reloads. When using the defaul poison quills, the Zundi skin reloads as normal, swapping the magazine out. However, if using fire, ice or electric quills, the default Hystrix animation plays, a non-existent magazine is removed from the top of the gun, and the actual magazine at the front of the gun sort of levers open and shut.
