Did you do all 96 keys at once without resting your game?

And this is a valid question.

To throw some more 'science' at your frustration OP:

Computers are not simulating true randomness. They use algorithms to give seemingly random results and often they use generated seed numbers for those algorithms. Restarting Warframe will give you a new seed number which may result in a more favourable seed number to be assigned to your client that will provide you with your coveted part sooner.

This is still somewhat random, just not random enough in its true mathematical meaning.

This is still not the game cheating you. This is just how computers are able to generate random (as in: random as possible in computer science) things.

To add a thought: I suspect Warframe is actually cheating RNG in the players' favour: a lot more players are getting these rare items after extensive farming than it would be realistic mathematically based on datamined drop rates.

(Datamined information is never the full picture let alone obtained in a legal and allowed way so you can only accept those as truth with a pinch of salt.)

  2. The human brain is incapable of processing RNG. (Rather, simply just probability. If you press me hard enough I'll stop being lazy and cite research results on this.)

When something has a mathematical 0.5% chance of happening it means this: It is possible for 100 attempts to all yield that coveted 0.5% chance result and that 10.000 attempts with the 0.5% chance result not occurring.

0.5% chance doesn't mean that out of a 1000 attempts 5 guaranteed will be successful.

It means that out infinite number of attempts 0.5% of infinite will be the that result. The smaller the number of attempts the least likely that the actual % of outcomes will match the 0.5% rule.

Applying this to Warframe: without even tampering with RNG in the game, just using the best, most mathematically correct RNG in computing: your experiences are fully within tolerance and it is, however unlikely, still possible that you will never ever see that Nikana Prime drop in any amount of time you burn in T2S.

This is a possible outcome of that low drop rate.

96 tries in probability calculations are not high enough of a sample to provide enough results to even guess the probability of any possible outcomes.

To tie in with my first sentence: this is very difficult for a human brain to process. This is why you feel that the world is against you and that the game is rigged.

Human brains are evolved to handle chance poorly so you attempt daring and stupid things if the rewards are high enough and if the cost of failure is high enough even if the chances of it happening are low you will avoid it. (People are afraid of flying but are playing the lottery. Best examples on this.)

TL;DR: The game doesn't need to be rigged for these results. You are just unlucky.

    Wow, big one.

I actually like some notions in this!

-Saryn is not the worst by far. I disagree.

-A buff to her kit may be in order. I also feel that her kit requires a lot of work to pay off. I DO like the reward her kit gives but it takes a bit too much work/carpal tunnel indeed.

-Level 105 heavy gunner is an easy target.

    • Ash: press 4? Yes, Ash is problematic and people still want that cheesecake to be buffed. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) But press 3, use melee finisher.
    • Excal: press 2, no need for the ult. Finishers toast anything.
    • Ivara: Sleep arrow, see above
    • Equinox: press night form 2, see above
    • Random frame that triggers finisher: trigger finisher, see above
    • etc...

What I wanted to point out is that taking out a single level 105 gunner is cakewalk with anything once you can mod weapons/frames. Not really a good baseline for comparison.

    - Buffing her abilities:

    • Molt buff: yes please. 4 sec invulnerability phase like Iron Skin/Snow Globe? Sounds good! More base health is also nice to have.
    • Toxic lash buff: too much. 2 energy per spore is fine: Enemies start to have multiple spores on them really soon and in the end you'll end up with more energy while meleeing then before you cast 1+3 even with 2 energy per spore.
More melee damage is not needed that much, combo stacking and a good melee weapon solves that part.
Added lifesteal for the duration of Toxic Lash is a neat idea, however, Molt should not have built in Regenerative Molt then. This should be either that or this one.
+100% reach, buffing allies paired with the current guaranteed toxin proc and spore popping with +2 energy per spore with some extra toxin damage? I like the sound of that!
    • Miasma buff: killing level 70-80 enemies in full ability stacking? Too much.
We should add a longer lasting stagger, I like the armor melting idea as well and some base damage buff.
We could also factor in power duration like this: The more duration you use the faster each instance of damage tick happens and the longer it staggers and the longer it lasts.
There, Miasma is now faster and deals more damage. Toy around with duration and tick frequency and base damage and you can eliminate the need for using too many strength mods to mod for all 4 aspects to make a good Saryn build.

I still think Saryn is good, could be just a little better - bit more CC and a bit more user friendly. But she is far from being trash and quite close to a good frame.

Now is the question, 13k damage in what time? Saryn ult maybe deals more total damage than before, but i hope you are aware that the new one ticks a specific part of it's total damage each second thus making the actual DPS worse than before.

    -snip-

This. And even that isn't really standing out compared to other frames.

My post was exactly about not just using her ultimate. Old Saryn - half a second for 13k corrosive vs new Saryn - constant 50% hp debuff and consistent DoT at the cost of carpal tunnel*. She basically does what Nova does... Nova gives you double damage and slows/speeds up enemy units, Saryn halves their health and softens them up constantly instead of offering CC.

(Only drag in AMD if you actually use it yourself. I love that skill and I love Nova to hell and back but I rarely see anyone actually AMD bombing with her. Also, both frames' abilities are curbstomped by Nullifiers like any other frame's so that is not a valid argument.)

Anyone saying that she is nerfed compared to her old state never really understood how she worked and why she worked 'so well' nor tried nuking level 100 enemies with her.
The only reason I used her like that in the past is because of the unbearable Ash player spam in random pugs who leaned back in their chairs staring at the Vomit Cam TM and patting their backs saying that they are the best players. It was satisfying killing stuff after Bladestorm highlighted them but before it actually killed them.

*On the notion of carpal tunnel: If her 1st ability could be buffed to be even softer targeted with a slightly larger spore spread radius. Also speed up her 1st and 3rd ability's casting times. Just to give some actual feedback on her.

Yday I went to the Grineer sortie with Saryn and viral Torid. Man, she was very bad. Always out of energy because of 2-1-4, still very low damage. This frame is dead.

Yep, very vague, so useful... Leech eximii? Energy reduction?

There are a million reasons why you run out of energy... In my experience I was swimming in energy with a level 19 Saryn in Eris dark sector survival solo survival. Without triggering my Zenurik passive and my Corrosive Projection aura isn't an energy booster either. I just kept on popping those spores with Toxic Lash and spamming all my abilities.

I think the main reason people think she was nerfed is because the glitch that meant that Miasma saw an exponential damage gain once you knocked the duration below 1s is gone. A good build of Saryn meant you could do over 13k corrosive damage without taking a dip from 75% efficiency.

Now this is gone, but you gained a lot of useful tricks:

    • An infinite spam of viral and toxin procs? -Check!
    • Energy regain and elemental toxin damage boost to melee attacks? -Check!
    • Get rid of any procs affecting you and shedding some aggro? -Check!
    • And on top of that you have an ult that deals damage over time, staggers and if you use it on crowds you already softened up with attacks you can even do triple damage? -CHECK!

    Wow, such nerf...

Now Saryn isn't a nuke but deals a LOT MORE damage over time than ever before and her kit falls off a lot later than previously.

The only point where I think Saryn could be called worse than before is the fact that it is hard to melee, parkour 2.0 and cast all four abilities at once. At least I can feel my hands seriously tiring after an hour of playing her new kit.

Every other complaint feels like an excuse to whine that there is hardly any option left besides Ash for a press 4 to win frame. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

  6. Sorry i was just proving a point she got paid sour skittles for it i mean its a fear deal right ?

PS: thats a joke just to show how dump the idea of boosting for this situation was in my opinion.

I get the joke, but u wot m8? Why is this a response to my reply?

I believe DE is in the clear with all this and I feel bad that this has caused this many issues to them. That's why I posted what I did.

  7. I miss those days when you could get 3-4 forma BPs in a long defense mission. My endgame was basically 6 formaing every weapon I liked for whatever reason and all frames with the best builds for them.

Now I am sitting on over a dozen interesting guns that have some potential or I just like them and I am very very reserved about what to commit to. I even abandoned formaing up frames and straight up just bought Exilus adapters from the market when I needed some as forma became the single most valuable resource I have.

Changes happened around last September. Since then instead of forma I get Orokin Cells...

I just wish for just one endless mission where you could grind for forma. Just one location, really. Let those who whined about not getting enough primes enjoy their orokin cell drops in the void but those of us who liked forma get a place where we can actually get them.

    -snip-

I did that sortie too and I have to go with Coaa... You don't need Frost.

I had an Iron Skin rhino shooting stuff, a Trinity who didn't EV and a slow Nova. They were pretty OK as far as basic stuff goes but I do have to point out that I never seen the Rhino do a Stomp or Roar, no EV from Trinity, pretty much the Nova was the only one who used more than one skill and knew what their frame was good for.

Pretty average early morning PUG in central EU, the team didn't chat or if they did it was in broken English or in Cyrillic letters so I just guessed at what they wanted...

And still: the only time the drill died is when someone activated one alone and then ran off to facestomp some grineers...

Even with this squad I managed to keep the drills alive with a Nezha impaling enemies with my 4 to stop them. It was barely a tickle on them but did the job. I felt like using Nezha this morning so I went with that and I knew he had some form of CC so I used that as much as I could.

Could've done the same with a Rhino, Ivara or Equinox to name easier to pull off CC that isn't obvious. Volt with Electric Shield or Frost or Limbo or a Vauban dropping Bastille and/or Vortex in key locations would've been a lot easier, I'll admit or even I could've done a lot more mass murder with my Nova and AMD... and this is just by thinking about what I could've done differently for the same results and not expecting a team that works together properly.

All I want to point out is this: you do not need a specific team composition to go through most of these missions. A specific one helps a lot (like 4 corrosive projection auras on grineer missions) but there is more than one good solution.

TL;DR version: BREAK THE META! :)

(had to edit that one in)

  9. I feel a bit like OP with the Sorties.

I do them when I feel like them, but I decided that I'm not going to sweat over each one. I do the ones that I can solo with ease. If they are too heavy with defense missions or would take too long for my mood I'll avoid them. If I don't feel like playing Mag I ignore Corpus ones altogether.

Generally speaking my problems with sorties are this:

*Players who cannot wrap around their heads how each frame can contribute to a given objective and adhering to the overused and boring meta to the point of ridiculousness: This made me avoid recruiting chat for a while now. Certain frames help but skill with your frame is actually 90% of your success and certain frames have just as good or even better synergies than the current Nova/EV Trinity/Frost/Random DMG ability spam frame set up.

*High level corpus units: Corpus Techs with their one shot Supras supported by a healthy dose of revive denial drones (Sapping Ospreys) covered by 4-5 overlapping non-bulletspam weapon denial bubbles (Nullifiers)... This just irks me to no end. Nullifiers punish anything that is not a high rate of fire automatic weapon and when the floor is carpeted with sapping mines there is no easy way of going near them. All that combo needs is just one Corpus Tech to cover a way around them and you are pretty much dead in a position where your teammates cannot revive you in without losing the objective. Not impossible to beat by any chance but definitely on my list of "Nope, thank you!" moments.

*My last concern is that, at MR21, the rewards are not that compelling: I've finally got all the Nezha parts I needed while I already collected 3 Dera Vandal sets and got a truckload of lenses. I'm at the stage where I'm just selling/trading off all the lenses I get and all extra parts that land in my hands so the only carrot left on the end of the stick for Season 4 is that fabled Legendary Core. That doesn't really motivate me with its low drop chance. To go through uncomfortable missions for 30-60m at times, maybe even multiple host migrations due to point 1 mentioned above and only getting a lens I don't need or some fusion cores that can be acquired faster in other missions is a bit demotivating.

Despite all this I still say that Sorties are good and DE had a good idea with implementing them!

Having a constant and easy to access way to high level content can actually show balance issues between frames and enemy unit compositions. It shows which frames can perform well within their skill sets, which ones have an unbalanced set of skills or just plain weak.

All I wanted to say with my issues with sorties why I decided to take a casual route with them.

  10. I did that with a rank 20 Vulkar Wraith despite owning a 6 forma Lanka and 4 forma Vectis prime... Nullifier shields nullify anything besides fire rate anyway.

And those who forget about Mag when fighting high level corpus deserve their suffering :P

  11. And I thought I was alone with this.

I'd like to point out that changing this depends on when your weapon stats are checked. I'm guessing when your shots make contact with the enemy then you get your stats checked for damage rolls so altering how this bonus is applied to the stats can be quite problematic within the game engine.

This would also explain the behaviour I explained in the first post.

So this may not be such an easy fix as it sounds in our heads. Still I feel it is better to put this out there rather then staying silent.

  12. Hello all!

I've finally managed to get my hands on this mod and did some playtesting:

On hitscan weapons you aim down your sights/scope and fire and Argon Scope works as long as you are within 9s of a previous headshot. Just as it says on the tin.

On projectile weapons it is a bit different:

You aim down your sights and fire.

Now two things can happen: you either release your scope/aim button to search for targets while your projectile lands or keep aiming at your target.

If you release your scope at the same time as your projectile: no bonus applied.

If you keep aiming down your sight while the projectile lands: you get your added critical chance.

It seems that the critical chance bonus is only applied while you are aiming down your sights when your projectile hits regardless of when and how you fired your projectile. Which means you must remain ADS while your projectile is traveling.

To me personally this doesn't sound logical as you can fire off a slower projectile, then start aiming to get the bonus (provided you are within the 9 second window) and this also means that you can fire off a projectile that halfway the path loses the bonus because you zoomed out.

I'd love it if your projectile would have the bonus applied to it if you were fulfilling the requirements in the moment you fired it - thus in control of it - and not only when it hit the target - when you were not in control of it for a time.

(For this example let's discount Navigator. I'm sure it also cancels out Argon Scope anyway)

I wonder if this change could be implemented or if this bothers any other player at all.

  13. Been doing the same as you but with Valkyr. So as you can imagine, dispel made it a problem. But not really, he only does it once. Kite him around until dispel ends then go tanky and start hitting him.

Hehe, just did that. Except Dispel never went away and he just despawned without dropping the common mods I keep getting.

  14. I have to agree, practically any above decribed method is better than the current one. I am sorry DE, I like the flavour of the event but the way you decide to hand out the rewards for completing it is not fun.

I get it that you cannot always win, however, using very low drop rates for rare mods on enemies that are only very briefly appearing means that most of the playerbase will not have the mods.

If it weren't for me getting sick I would have even less of these mods. Add that to the fact that for 6 hours straight just grinding the the nodes and not a single rare mod in sight makes this game feel a lot more tedious than my actual job which I get paid to do.

All in all I don't feel rewarded for the amount of time I poured into the event at all. And yes people are aborting missions because of this. I started doing this too while feeling dirty about doing it. But if I can help it I don't want to have a 100 Shrapnel Shots and Body counts (and I even like that mod).

DE please, make this a bit more rewarding.
