  1. Archwing as it stands is too small, too compact, and makes the terrible mistake of giving us 4 abilities and a single type of gun like a conventional Warframe, and you have to stop blasting away to do anything too.

So here's my pitch: Scrap Archwing weapons, scrap abilities, and give us a loadout more similar to SSZ and/or Warhawk, with different types of missiles and guns and the like. Maybe the type of missiles and such you can use is based off of the Archwing, maybe the primary weapon can be different things like (accurate) flak cannons and machine guns, I don't know. Also, let us fire while spriting, maybe with the weapon tucked under us like an actual spaceship weapon.

Rework the enemies and maps to be more in line with this more movement-oriented combat. Screw space drones and Grineer segways, I want to fight actual Grineer equivalents of X-wings. Provide us with larger ships to destroy, corvettes and frigates smaller than the might of a Galleon, that are invincible unless you destroy their turrets and weakspots.

Instead of bouncing off walls, let us do a wall latch and then spring off a wall or other surface so we can zip right back around and continue killing things.

Change Archwing defense so that you're defending an actual spaceship instead of a stationary hunk of cargo.

  2. Really should have just made them into some sort of autolock pistols.

Maybe you could only move really slow in peacemaker, walkin' along like a cowboy, only able to headshot what's in your cone of vision, but you could double-tap directional keys and dash in different directions - maybe you could have built-in gliding on her bullet jumps, giant diving leaps in mid-air, that sort of thing.

  3. Extremely satisfying gif. That filthy Corpus trash deserved every nanosecond of that agony.

    It still actually happens.

And they did say they were working on a whole bunch of gore updates - Ospreys will have armor chipped off and fly around before exploding, MOA's will have their own gore, all good things, so my advice is wait.

  4. There ISN'T a damage 3.0.

There is going to be a multi-shot re-work, Mod re-work, and sniper re-work, NOT damage 3.0 (and no, it is NOT necessary. We have a diverse and unique damage system that does a very good job. Lets keep it working that way)

Mmmmrrrhhh. Armor vs shields, Slash being the demigod of physical damage, and zero incentives to mod magnetic politely disagree. Some tweaks are needed.
  5. Let's talk about progression vs. customization. Modding's a progression system but it's trying to be a customization system at the same time, which means we have very little customization.

I mean, is there any real diversity in our builds? We slap our damage mods on, maybe a Corrupted mod, a mod to enhance crit or stat depending on the base chance, if we have stats we always try to go corrosive never Magnetic or Blast or Gas, a multishot mod, and we always forma it V because nothing on D is really helpful. For warframes it's a little better - we look at what abilities we're going to use and build towards a specific aspect and sometimes we have to sacrifice something with a Corrupted mod. But you're not very likely to see big differences between two players with one Warframe, and you certainly don't add any other mods beyond Vitality or Redirection, you don't add on any wacky utility mods because it's a waste.

Remember TheGreatZamboni? He wrote that big long post about how awful modding was and he had this great little concept about a new progression system for warframes and a frankly awful concept about weapon alterations. I think that, despite his saltiness, there was a bit of brilliance in it: he created a progression system that was an alternative to mods as they stand.

I think what we need is a hybrid: a progression system that gives you the upgrades you need to keep going through the solar system, and modding as a customizaton system that lets you customize so much more than what we customize now. Things like the Conclave mods, things like the fancy Exotic perks in Destiny. I want to be able to build my gun, adapt it, not just make it better.

Apparently we dropped out of the top 20 on september. That's rather depressing, really.

I guess Warframe hasn't really had a big growth spurt in a while, but games like ARK and Smite and Heroes of the Storm are still growing at a rapid rate - but still. Who knows where we are now, what with Football Manager 2016 and Overwatch and Fallout 4.

  7. -Less AoE

    -Slows him down

    -Limited vision

-Enemies must be fully petrified, taking near ages for heavier units vs killing them on a tentacle.

    -Leaves him open to attacks.

I'm certain they've learnt their lesson, I highly doubt people are going to use the augment when Atlas has much better ones coming

It freezes the enemies, then someone else can kill them, and Trinity can keep him alive all the while by putting EV on his victims.

They did sound kinda apprehensive about putting it in though. We'll see what happens.

  8. Ive read your posts. Im basically the only one talking to you, remember?

So basically you want DE to just make an entire new game?

ACTUALLY, what you are talking about is pretty much what they are having to do if they are going to get rid of multishot. We'll see what happens with that.

But essentially you are asking for a complete rework of the entire game, just to free up two mod slots on half your gear.

Not really. I think the man's asking for what Scott referred to as the nuclear bomb, that hits scaling and energy and weapon balancing and Focus and modding all at once. And I agree.

Where we part ways, though, is how hostile one must be to achieve that goal.
