  1. Looks like you're on PC, too: If you've beaten a junction, sat down and started up the rail and all that jazz, and didn't get your drops? Log out, and log back in. Make sure the junction is still cleared on your map, and you SHOULD have your items waiting for you. You have to 'physically' plug it in to activate the station, to boot.

If that doesn't work first, and the junction is still clear when you re-load into the junction proper, it's time to submit a ticket.

  2. I gotta disagree: The intention of having them being optional pickups, as well as having "Hey you have to stop and destroy me" resources is intended to help SLOW people down. And that's honestly a good thing. I can get why a lot of you feel the need to rush through, race through, plow through a mission. I do. But it'd be nice to have something, anything, that rewards (or at least doesn't punish) actually wanting to just PLAY the game rather than make it a race with your Insta-Death power rolling through. We can have both, without one hindering the other. I hope.

What MIGHT help people who DO prefer to rush through, and even those that take it slow, however?

    1. A distinct passive audio cue for stars. This might not help deaf players, but considering how tiny and how fast paced even a slower gameplay walkthrough still is, and how busy the environment can be? This can help other players locate it, and tag it for others (something I really like doing, esp with the also neat Ceph Fragments).
    2. A more distinct glow unique to them. I think I find more cyans than amber just due to the more distinct nature of their glow; it's often hard to tell 'Is that a star, a resource, or pistol ammo' at a distance right now.
    3. A more unique <INTERACT> box.  We use the same generic interact/toggle UI for so many things, we become habituated to it when it pops up or don't even notice sometimes; more often than not you may have ran over a star, and just thought your companion interaction option popped up, and ignored it. Having something more distinct might help with this.

On the subject of decorations...... potted plants when? seriously, I like all of the silver grove plants and would really like to get potted(or some other form of container for the moss and frostleaf I guess) variants to place on my ship.

I was actually a little surprised something like this wasn't a side reward from finishing the Grove quest; you get a decoration for completing the Inaros quest.

  4. This has been repeated so many times already, but I think just more voices stressing this big design issue is worth it. But thanks for the platform to even state it:

We're already starving for mod slots on items. You create so many really interesting utility mods for weapons and warframes alike; and I just can't use them, due to other 'standards of living' mods that take priority just to play/get survivable results.

Sticking to a mod-based solution to the item pickup issue is just going to make it even harder for players to want to use any new/future really neat mods you make for sentinels/pets in the future.

It really makes me think of your recent PC Mag interview:

In particular, the sentiment and realization: Simple equals good. Sit back and ask yourselves:

    1. What are the possible reasons we would want, as devs, vacuum to not be universal?
    2. What are the possible reasons we would, as devs, for vacuum to be universal?
    3. Between these two outlooks, which generates more problems equally for the devs and the player base?

Simple equals good. Figure out which method would really streamline what your metric as devs is; Either way, I'm willing to bet adding to the already big issue of mod-slot starvation isn't it.

I am thoroughly underwhelmed by the Synoid Heliocor. The clones are completely worthless (and only one at a time). Other than that, it's pretty much a straight downgrade from the Heliocor. Channeling sucks, and Killing Blow doesn't even work right anyway (see thread below). Pure mastery fodder.

Seconding all of this; I was shocked how the stats didn't reflect the use of the weapon at all. Honestly, I'm kinda expecting a hotfix to address some of these underwhelming stats. The passives sound neat, but. Not that neat.

  6. They look neat, I guess, though I'm sort of confused how this makes getting Endo easier.

Personally, I'm more confused/curious as to how these are supposed to be "lore-amplifying"; Ceph Simaris was supposed to be that as well, and he got scaled back pretty quickly. How will this address building/expanding/detailing pre-existing lore? The dev post doesn't go into detail, though perhaps the stream did?

  7. Yeah, he was my go-to for good feedback on releases and Baro updates, but I don't blame him for feeling burned out for "content regurgitation" rather than creation.Be nice if he shows back up.

His videos on builds/frames are worth checking out, if you haven't seen 'em. Good resources for new players.

  8. So its been a good while since Archwing movement got changed. And I've been trying, since having built Amesha and deciding to finally try to farm for Atlas (Amesha really helps with J-Golem fyi) to get  a handle on the new movement rules.

    I haven't.

I'm willing to admit that even as a veteran player, I may have a case of "the dumb". So here I am asking you folks to help me out: How in the world do I reorient myself in Archwing, when I find myself upside down or flying sideways for minutes at a time? I've been told the change set it to where you're supposed to only readjust yourself while moving, but that doesn't...doesn't seem to be happening. At all. I'm probably doing something wrong, but I can't tell what.

Additionally, since I didn't see an archwing movement specific guide in the forums and we don't really have a tutorial in-game: What movement tips and tricks, suggestions or advice, would you have/want to see in such a guide/in-game tutorial?

  9. This may be related to a bug I was just about to report: I've been scanning Eris cephalon fragments while farming for Atlas parts, and while I keep getting told I've 'completed' the Warframe Technology (2nd to last Eris entry) codex entry? It won't update and unlock.

  10. Sounds like the issue is less about affinity, and more about a concern about being leeched off of on groups you're in.

It can be pretty annoying when you're trying to pub an objective, and someone who you just can't get rid of/avoid keeps showing up in a squad. This is really an annoyance at higher level Sortie, where you literally have people joining and hiding in a safe spot and going AFK. And then just rejoining if you fail/break the squad to try to avoid them. While less rare or vicious at lower levels, I kinda get what you mean. Sadly, DE doesn't seem comfortable with any current suggestions on how to handle kicking folks from a squad. Last I heard, they were more concerned about player abuse.

Sounds like in your case, you're not so much suffering from silent/non-responsive/afk players leeching, but possibly just new players or even confused players. Try chatting at them (when not being relentlessly attacked) to see what's up.

That is something to consider, really. The keys are used in void sabotage.

Right? And multiple groups are using Void Keys to force open void portals. I think the Liset has some sort of void travel abilities that've let Tenno avoid that, however? Or something? There's radio chatter akin to that sometimes.

The Void Keys still exist in the lore, we just don't use them in gameplay. Think of it like opening a standard door in another game, for example. It doesn't show you going through a keyring and unlocking the door, but it can be easily assumed that is what is happening.

So yeah, repeating myself here. Void Keys still exist, we just don't physically use them in the gameplay.

That makes sense, though it's odd that we don't see any interaction with them, and that the Liset seems to take precedent. I must have missed the devstream comments about planned updates post War Within.

But I guess that addresses my questions about the art design, without going lore hungry (which I am).

  12. I'm kind of surprised people aren't more focused on gathering keys for the soon to be vaulted primes, honestly, but I see what you mean.

Storing up on Syndicate points to cash in for key drops is my current tactic, if  you're looking for a plan in the meantime.

Seems like an aspect of the game is being taken away. It may just be a more agressive tactic to get people to buy plat more for all I know.

It's worth noting that with the current relic system, you don't actually LOSE your old relics that have a drop chance for vaulted stuff, like you used to with keys. You keep them. Even when mag/frost/nyx gets vaulted, your relics can STILL drop parts for them. That's a new level of access that wasn't there before with keys.

It of course also means you'll need NEW keys for new drops, but. It's a decent trade off. So far. We'll see how well it works when people try to get Necro's Prime under the new relic drop system.

  14. I sort of thought about this by accident just now: If void keys aren't a thing new and old players interact with anymore, having been replaced with relics? Then Vor's design doesn't make any sense. The current Void isn't opened by keys. It's just accessed to via a relay. Or invaded by the portals? It's very confusing.

The question is, does Vor's design make less sense/less relevance since players don't really interact with Void keys anymore? We use relics, that look nothing like Void Keys. Come to think of it, that might actually make a lot of other designs more nonsensical.

Is there going to be an art update? Or some way to make keys make sense in the lore now that they're 'gone'? Dragon Keys and Infested Derelict keys aren't exactly the same, but relics are used to craft them...I'll admit, I'm a little confused.

He literally has one plugged in his chest. And the thing is, I dig his design. But void keys just aren't a thing players interact with anymore so. How did he get one? What even ARE they now? Are we going to edit his design to make it more relic-like?

Yes the challenge is there, but the reward for actually doing it isn't.

Ah. Okay, so we're not just talking just wanting a challenge here. We want the carrot.

Hmm. What about something like Judgement Prime?

    latest?cb=20140619213420

Like a form of corrupted Grineer arena. The ability to turn in points earned via Arena combat to do a Void Fissure run form of Arena mode, complete with challenge mods? Maybe have it have endless drop chances, but at the lowest unrefined tier drop chance only? We've already got Judgement Points as a thing, and Void Key assets that technically don't make sense anymore (Shouldn't Vor be using a relic now?)

That'd allow people who really want it to indulge in the challenge they claim to want, while still having a carrot. If you really want a challenge like this, I'd suggest hitting up the Fan Concepts section of the forum with ideas for the sort of challenges you really want. Couldn't hurt.

  16. I'm a little curious as to what the state of trading chat is for console players, to boot, since that's honestly been my only source of lenses. I get a lens I don't want, I trade it for others. That, or buying a larger one with plat, usually earning the plat via a syndicate mod/weapon sale.

Is trading just more difficult on consoles? I'm wondering if there are big barriers there that'd make trading harder to the point where you really, really need such alternatives. If so, solving those might be even easier AND solve other potential problems.

  17. Have you ...BEEN in the trading chat in-game lately? Because you can get mag/frost prime.

That's actually one of the few ways a lot of people who don't have a lot of disposable income for plat/time to farm for tradables get it. Farming for newer stuff to trade for older stuff works great too. The options are there, it's just...incentive to keep playing. Which is in DE's best interest.

I really feel you're dead wrong about the future unvaulting problem: If anything, they'll probably unvault more than one set of stuff at a time, and for a longer period of time. The relic system would need tuning in terms of drop chance for the 'fresh' relics, though.

The introduction of this new system almost destroyed the thing we know as "end game". Void Survival or Defence or Interception was one of the main reason we play the game for hours (admit it you peasants).

DE, please return that feature to us.

Uh. Wait. Have you been to Sedna lately? Because they already added what you're asking for.

    latest?cb=20160502120236

They revamped Sedna into insanely high level endless Grineer Arena like. A good time ago. Kinda. Kinda surprised nobody mentioned that in this thread yet. There was an even a whole event over it. With mods. And conclave maps reused for PvE.

Do you just not like it? Considering your quest for a challenge/peasantry references, it'd be literally even more than what the Void offered.

  19. On the plus side, you don't lose access to stuff you had access to via relics.

On the downside, you'll have a harder time finding the specific relic in the specific era you need/want.

If you haven't joined a Syndicate and ranked up in it, I'd suggest you do so. It's pretty much the only way I bother to get relics anymore. I'd also suggest running relics in the same Era as the items you want in public, as you might run into someone trying to get the same item in a squad. Happened to me plenty.
