  1. Owing to our recent emergence among the Tenno clans, Corvid has a long way to go before it begins to make a name for itself.

    corvid-logo.jpg

However, with an new clan comes new opportunities and new end-game content as we are in need of capable Tenno, able to manage a growing clan, recruiting, funding and building our Dojo to its fullest potential. If you think you have what it takes, feel free to enquire.

As of Now: Trading and vault donations are online and open, All halls completed, Lab building completed. Upgrade to next clan rank (Storm) on hold until new recruits arrive, power requirements met with 4 reactors online, Dueling Room construction complete, Orokin Lab construction complete, Preliminary Clan emblem submitted to DE for review.

Tenno capable of higher Clan Management needed, most notably those with organization roles in previous clans who plan the layout of a Dojo and keep it functioning.

Clan Emblem Competition: Due to my questionable artistic talents, a Platinum prize is on offer for those who come up with the Clan's new Emblem. Prizes of 500p, 250p and 100p will be awarded to the Grand winner and the two runners up respectively, the Grand Winner having his or hers art instated as the new Clan Emblem.

    Rules of the Competition

    1. Art must abide by DE's constraints for a clan Emblem, including being in PNG format and be 128 x 128 size.

    2. Subject of Art must feature Magpies, Crows or Ravens in accordance with the Clan's name. (Corvid refers to the latin name of said birds.)

    3. No content, violent, suggestive, sexual or otherwise will be accepted and the submitter reported in accordance with DE's guidelines of rating.

    4. Competition will commence once Clan reaches a suitable size.

    5. Submission details will be given to those who wish to submit and will not be posted online. Personal messages to me will be answered and email given by private chat. Alternately Art may be posted on this thread. Plagiarism will not be tolerated.

I wish you all a good day, and welcome any who wish to join Corvid.

  2. Honestly, give it ragdoll abilities and I might consider it worthwhile to use the vortex function. Really not worth sacrificing a large matrix of explosives for a weak damage over time in a tiny radius with a short duration. Otherwise, just spam and detonate immediately.

  3. Simulor really needs to actually ragdoll enemies with the vortex bubbles to be of any use rather than doing a weak &#! damage over time in a tiny radius. Most of the damage seems to come from the spheres combining randomly with absolutely no control over when it happens. The guaranteed electric proc on detonation is nice, too bad the explosive radius is completely out of whack, sometimes hitting loads of enemies at once or none at all. Honestly, for what it does, the combining spheres in its current state would have been better off not being a feature if it meant we could have set up a bunch of hovering mines for easy headshots without all the bombs spazzing out and joining into one.

  4. Just a quick question, what exactly happens if you support one side of the invasion but the other wins? Little concern as to where my points would go if I were to support the losing side.

Currently helping Salad but Anyo seems to be winning the current invasion. If I support Salad again, will I lose points or will it still count?

Furthermore, any idea if whether or not the mission reward will be given if I so happen to have supported the losing side. Got a few people saying that the weapon from whichever side wins will be received regardless of who is supported.

Can't seem to find any answers on chat soooo decided to ask here.

  5. One thought I have been toying with for a while might add just that little bit of endgame reward and motivation for veteran players is the option to finally meet the lotus, once you have managed to impress her enough with your dedication to the game.

I'm not saying it needs any particular ceremony or even any game changing rewards for accomplishing it (Although that would make it all the more rewarding) I'm just thinking it would add that little bit more reason to progress past Mastery Rank Ten seeing as pretty much all content has been made available by that point.

Concept is pretty simple, reach a certain Mastery Rank (Maybe 15-18) and the Lotus sends you a message detailing how she is pleased with your dedication to the Tenno cause and has agreed to grant you an audience with her. Bit of a cutscene appears with you standing before her and receiving praise for your work or something similar.

Perhaps the concept might be taken further, players who have accomplished this, receiving a unique sigil and access to a few new features such as the option to fund and acquire various new Dex and Vandal weapons being developed by the Lotus as well as having the option to adopt Kubrows consigned by players earlier. God knows Lotus is running out of space and bags for poop wherever she is.

Now saying that anything really has to be revealed about the mysterious nature of the Lotus, just that some new endgame content might be appreciated. Not to mention it might tie in a little to how much attention she apparently pays the player, breaking them out of Zanuka prison and giving all kinds of help on quests. Stands to reason she might want to finally give thanks to her best warriors.

Let me know what you think of this idea whether you like it or hate it, I just think the game could use something along the lines of a serious endgame goal.

  6. A few hours ago, I did a Infested Invasion alert which offered a Mutalist Alas V Coordinate. However, once the alert was finished, no reward was sent to my inbox and I never received the Coordinate.

Several people I have spoken to have had the same problem, completing the Infested Invasion node on Ceres, Ker but not had the reward offered delivered to them.

Usually this would not be too big of a deal if it wasn't for the fact that Mutant Salad Coordinates are probably the most valuable resource offered in Infested Invasions and to have done the missions to receive one and not been rewarded is a pretty tall order.

I hope that there is some form of solution to this as I'm sure that many people have missed out on their chance to finally get the Mesa Warframe.

    Hornet Out.

  7. End-of-mission reward is fine for me. I can make myself replenishing my fieldrons/detonite/mutagen supplies ( I mean assembled) and btw for relatively easy missions you earn quite a lot of everything. Do grind with friends so you have 4 keys instead of one and as a result you may probably get the whole set for one run.

I say, no to any changes, thank you so much.

Expect to increase the quantity of said missions very soon.

All well and good to replenish materials that you only use on a few weapons, most of which aren't even that good but who in the world wants to have to go back to their Dojo after a mission in order to trade some Ammo Drum mods for some coordinates after every mission, using up daily trades in order to have a shot at getting into the mission and getting something good out of it? You just end up with one guy holding all the cards with few chances to return them if things don't go to plan, assuming he doesn't just cheat people out and sell them off. Shouldn't have to put you faith in the hope that things will go according to plan.

  8. They shouldn't even be dropping in invasions. Sometimes infested invasions doesn't appear for DAYS. It's too freaking random. They should be dropping from new infested enemies throughout the solar system, or from Derelict.

That's basically what I said for the second option. Golem Coordinates already drop from Derelict and throughout the Solar System basically means Invasions or Eris. I suppose it might be fair to have them drop from Dark Sectors though.

  9. Just a couple of ideas on how DE might be able to fix the excessive amount of grind involved in recovering the Mutant Salad key and in turn, farming for Mesa in general.

First Option: Make Mutant Salad the Boss for Eris. There's no boss node there at the moment and I somewhat expect DE to put Mr. V there at some point after all the hype for the new update wears off, making it much like many of the Frames which we are used to, killing a boss in order to grind out the parts. Mesa will still be an endgame frame seeing as how Eris is one of the later planets to unlock, many bosses needing to be defeated in order to start acquiring her parts from Mutant Salad. It certainly would help to break the excessive grind trend that more recent Frames have been forced into (Zephyr's Oxium, Beacons for Hydroid, 300 excavators for Limbo). However, due to the fact that Alad V is seen in early game and that the Mutalist version of him certainly deserves some form of "Special Treatment" when it comes to finally meeting him and kicking his &#!, I feel that my second method might be much more appreciated.

Rather than offering his coordinates as an end-of-mission reward, dependent on the generosity of RNGesus, simply make Mutalist Nav Coordinates operate in the same manner as Golem Nav Coordinates, dropping from containers, lockers and enemies that you happen to interact with during infested invasion missions. Of course, in order to add some grind to the process, either reduce their spawn rate or increase the the cap on how many are needed to craft the Salad key. This would certainly help to solve several problems with the mechanics of the game, making it easier to obtain the coordinates for one thing as well as removing the problem of only being able to receive one coordinate per invasion which happens to be offering it. Furthermore, it would certainly provide a greater level of reward for participating in Infested invasions, rather than them being ignored by almost all of the player base, their rewards currently being lackluster to any but the newest of players, many of whom being unable to complete said invasions.

I hope DE takes these points into consideration because all I am seeing right now in my clan chat are complaints about how difficult Mutant Salad keys and Mesa are to get and that there is such thing as too much grind.

    Hornet Out.

  10. Why in the world couldn't DE just made Mutant Salad the boss for Eris? Infested planet, infested boss, should be a tea party. Alternately, why not just make the Mutalist Nav Coordinates drop like Golem Nav Coordinates, dropping from lockers, containers and enemies while running Infested invasion missions? Raise the cap requirement for the Salad key to add a little grind but at least you are not restricted on how many times you can run the mission to farm for them. Would also give a reason for running the invasions, rather than them being left to rot for two weeks because no one can be assed playing them.

  11. When I first saw Sigils and how they needed to be equipped in order to gain standing, I was under the impression that higher ranking Sigils would give a greater multiplier to standing gain. Seeing as how they don't, why in the love of Christ would I ever want to waste my hard earned standing on something that benefits me in no way?

  12. Colossal bug where a novice player invited me to complete his first Archwing run where the the Balor Formorian was messing up the Corpus big time. Instead of Archwing deploying, we were all running around on an invisible floor in the middle of space with the Formoian's giant F*** you laser killing us. We could fire our guns, use our regular powers and swing our melee weapons around but not jump or reach the objectives which were posted about 200 meters below us. When I was killed by the giant laser and used a revive, the lag was so phenomenally bad, I was forced to abort the absolutely ruined mission. Have to say though, my Boltor Prime certainly wrecked those Zeppelins faster than any other enemy I had seen.

  13. What sort of testing did you do? I'll add on to yours.

I'm skeptical as to whether or not helmets / rush affect sprint speed.

Did a few 1000m sprints with standard Rhino.

With vanguard, he reached the 1000m point in about 13.8-14 seconds.

Without, he reached the 1000m point in about 13.8-14 seconds.

Tried these tests with Frost P, and he reached the 1000m point in around the same time.

Only did 3 tests each, but the same thing happened with Saryn, with and without rush / Hemlock. Around 14 seconds average for both.

Tested with Loki + rush, and he reached the 1000m point in 10.1-10.3 seconds.

Without rush, Loki reached the 1000m point in 10.1-10.2 seconds.

So base sprint speed definitely affects Archwing speed. Rush and helmets... don't think so.

I just did some simple Drag Racing with a friend just to prove the theory and I'm certainly glad that someone else did a bit more intensive digging. Obviously Loki has a serious speed advantage.

  14. IMO the whole mode needs a LOT of work. Idk why DE advertised what is obviously a late alpha/early beta as a finished mode.

I certainly agree that Archwing needs more work, more features, game modes and weapons, I'm just glad that DE put a little more customization than just shields, health, energy and armor than what I first though. I just like it that the Frame you use also makes some difference in movement.

  15. Uhh, no.

It means literally the best frame is factually rhino prime with an arcane vanguard (High health, shields, armor, and fastest move speed, tied with loki).

    So the OPPOSITE of diversity.

I suppose so. I still prefer it this way though.

  16. After a series of tests involving a race between Loki and Frost, I can confirm that which Warframe you use does indeed affect the maneuverability of your Archwing.

To me this seems like a very welcome feature, meaning that there are is more to Archwing than just throwing on the Frame with the highest shields and armor and that certain Frames will be better suited to different missions.

For example, while Loki excels in Interception missions, able to evade enemies and reach radio towers quicker, he is woefully inadequate in the Trench Run missions, unable to make the tight turns, smashing into walls and lacking the space to run from enemies leaves him vulnerable due to his low shields. Frames like Rhino and Frost have no such issue, able to absorb damage from enemies at close range as well as being able to corner effectively. Much like real-world racing, some vehicles are better in the straights while others excel in the corners.

Now I know that all of you will be eager to show off your smart skills by trying to explain the real world physics behind space flight rather than actually appreciating this information so I'm just going to explain why this works. Basically, a Frame in motion has mass and inertia, "heavier" Frames requiring more force in order to accelerate, decelerate and change direction. Basically, the more mass you have and the faster you go, the harder it is to stop it. Last time I tried to get an answer about this issue, all I got were people not reading the question and just telling me stuff about their physics class.

Anyway, I hope this has been helpful, and that you might rethink your Archwing build, favoring a little more speed over armor. I for one love to run with Loki so those Interception missions go a little bit faster.

    Hornet out.

  17. i HOPE that faster frames would be faster so the brainless rhinos dont rule the skies to ... only of the thoughs i get rash

but i think DE did it again ....

It would sort of fit into the science, "Heavier" objects require greater force to accelerate and change direction than lighter ones. All Frames would essentially have similar a top speed but the ones with greater mass such as Rhino would take longer to reach that speed, come to a stop and change direction.
