  1. Armour.

Both of them have 150 base armour which basically negates the difference in HP.

Throw in a few armour mods and the correct helmet and you become a flying tank.

As for the mass thing, a heavier object will always have higher inertia, therefore it will take more force to accelerate it.

F=m*a is true in all reference frames.

Newtons laws are rather interesting in space.

an object in motion stays in motion, you start flying off, and you won't stop unless a force is applied, an objects that are stationary will stay stationary.

The second law I have already covered in F = m*a

and finally for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction, if I apply a force to an object 10000 times more massive than myself, it will experience 1/10000th of the acceleration that I do from that same action.

    Physics is cool

Yet another person who completely ignores the question and focuses on trying to explain the real world connections to a virtual environment.

  2. space = no atmosphere      no atmosphere = no air resistances

A Warframe with more mass, while moving through the vacuum of space, will have more inertia than a lighter one, meaning that it will take more force to alter its trajectory. The faster you go, the harder it is to stop and accelerate. Essentially, the heavier Frames should have less maneuverability.

  3. Just a quick question, does the weight of your Frame affect the speed of Archwing? Is a Rhino going to be outstripped by a Loki when it comes to an Archrace?

I've been trying to determine whether or not this is true, if all Frames are created equal in terms of space speed. If not, I approve seeing as it helps add that little bit more customization and variety. Do I go with the highly armored Frame, durable and slow but better at making the tight corners, or should I run the speed demon, capable of making it to an objective quickly and making it out when things get dangerous?

If not, then I feel that that's a bit of a lost connection. If there's no difference in maneuverability then there's no reason to choose anything other than a Rhino or a Frost while flying through space. Customization has always been a big part of Warframe and I'd like to see Archwing be a bit more dynamic. Even if it might not follow the science behind momentum in space, it would still be a big part of Archwing to have options like this.

    Hornet out.

  4. One a really cool idea that I think needs to be incorporated ASAP is a dedicated race gamemode featuring Archwing. I think it would be seriously fun and wouldn't need much to make it work, just a few objective markers and maybe a few added HUD elements such as position in the Race.

Free flight tilesets might be a bit difficult due to a lack of obstacles to navigate around, along with an apparent speed increase with lighter frames (uncertain if true) but Trench Run seems very appropriate. Every Frame would have its mobility perks, heavier Frames seem to have a slower speed but while also having better control and mobility. While speedrunning the Corpus sabotage mission using Frost, I found it very easy to avoid obstacles while my Loki couldn't move two feet without smashing into walls. Similar to racing in real life, some vehicles are better on the straights while others excel in the corners. Ultimately it's down to the players skill.

I feel that this gamemode would bring a little variety to Warframe, missions which weren't too based around combat and would certainly increase the PvP aspect without sacrificing the Cooperative experience.

  5. Was playing a round of Archwing Interception when I went to go grab a mod floating around the back of the map. Grabbed it and was then treated to Lotus telling me I was out of bounds before immediately extracting me with no time to get back. Had no chance of getting back into the map and couldn't rejoin.

I'm sure even invisible walls would have been a better solution.

  6. I don't know if I'm the only one experiencing this issue but it is extremely frustrating. It takes upwards of 5 minutes to launch the game, and every time I do a mission, it takes 2-3 minutes for it to even begin loading. Often times this means I can't do short exterminate missions due to the fact that by the time I've loaded in, my team mates have already killed all enemies. Leaving missions is somewhat longer but not overly an issue. For what I can see, no one I've joined has similar issues.

    Any suggestions out there?

  7. Is anyone else getting the same glitch as me? Every time I try do a Mobile Defense mission in the Void the game is completely broken. When I plug the data unit in, nothing happens, I get no health bar, no timer and no extra enemies spawn. I then have to abort the mission because the Data unit never comes back.

    Any solutions out there?

  8. Just logged in after receiving Update 14.10 looking forward to playing some Extraction games. I saw 6 squads playing it but when I selected the mission, it just sat there for a minute looking for a squad to join at which point it just reverted back to "looking for players" without joining anyone. I've tried this on a bunch of missions and get the exact same thing whenever the game attempts a squad join. Heaps of people in my clan are complaining about it and waiting for a hotfix.

    Any solutions out there?
