  1. What I loved about the quest was that moment when you had to escape with the Tenno in your arms: it was executed so well that I could practically feel the weight of the truth bearing down on me. When I realized I had no powers and weapons, the things that had made me feel so powerful in the first place, I felt so helpless and I thought I was going to fail and have to repeat all over again. Then I clicked the mouse button and I was like "oh shiet VOOOOIIIIDD POOOWWWEEEEERRRR".

Then at that last fight? Those last cinematics when the Warframe reactivated, Stalker disappeared, then when the screen whited out to reveal the Tenno customization? And then when the Lotus had to reveal the truth? My reaction was this: "hory shert DE you executed this perfectly".

Maybe it's not the most original concept. Maybe there could have been better ideas. But because DE executed the storyline so darn well, I have to truly congratulate them. They did a fantastic job there, and I'm looking forward to seeing Warframe develop even further.

  2. I'm taking a hiatus from this game. A LONG hiatus. I'll be back when the stupid stops hurting.

I'll be lurking around, most likely, and I'll still be working on projects for the community, but I'm done with the game and lore for a while.

The end of an era. May the hiatus treat you well, loremaster: we shall miss your passionate theories.

  3. My post in another topic about Radial Javelin, I see that a few other people have suggested some of these things as well.

    > Javelins slow targets by x%/x%/x%/x% for x/x/x/x seconds upon a successful hit (similar to Molecular Prime's slow). Slow is affected by power strength, while duration is affected by duration mods.

    > Number of Javelins is multiplied by current melee combo counter upon casting (normally you'd at least have a 1.5/2x combo counter, so that immediately bumps it up to 18/24). Unaffected by any mods.

    > If Exalted Blade is active, Javelins ragdoll enemy on hit.

This way Excal gets a Damage-Stun ability that is a more active version of Radial Blind: rather than stop them cold at the cost of doing no damage, Radial Javelin will slow down and weaken a group of enemies, allowing you to finish them off via melee. It also adds a degree of skill: if you rack up a large combo counter quickly, you can slow down a larger group of enemies.

EDIT: Most of the posts seem to agree though, that RJ should not be a flat damage skill, but should add a different form of CC for Excal as well

  4. Hm... I'd actually go for tweaking it like this:

    > Javelins slow targets by x%/x%/x%/x% upon a successful hit (similar to Molecular Prime's slow)

    > Number of Javelins is multiplied by current melee combo counter upon casting (normally you'd at least have a 1.5/2x combo counter, so that immediately bumps it up to 18/24)

    > If Exalted Blade is active, Javelins ragdoll enemy on hit.

  5. Excalibur: First ever frame, and I've stayed with him as my main ever since. Pre-rework I liked him for mobility and coolness, post-rework he became my go-to frame for everything and anything. For some reason I tend to handicap my weapon loadout to enjoy the game more when I use him: if I started using my more serious loadouts pretty sure I don't have to pull out Exalted Blade so much.

Banshee: Squishy as hell but in my opinion she is the best support frame. Her first ability is amazing CC, and with the augment makes armored enemies cry. Second ability is the best damage multiplier bar none, and the augment allows you to disregard aiming after a while since everyone's covered in glowing spots. Third and fourth are two different forms of CC: one is mobile CC that allows you to stunlock everything in sight as you run past, and the other is immobile CC+ damage that can lock down an entire map when positioned right.

Saryn: After the rework, she's now my favorite close quarters frame: although she can't really tank a hit, her abilities work so nicely with each other that playing her never gets old, and running in and out while spreading viral and toxin procs everywhere is just amazing.

    Special Mentions

Atlas: One Punch Warframe for the win! Tied with Saryn for close quarters Warframe: his ability to punch everything is just so fun that I always equip him with shotguns and gauntlets for that extra steamrolling power.

Oberon: People deride Oberon for being a jack of all trades, but his versatility should not be underestimated: played well, you can keep a team alive through healing, turn the enemy on each other, and surprisingly tank damage that would otherwise be deadly.

  6. So in conclusion:

                                              Twin Grakata                                                                Aksomati

Tch-Tch                                         Worse in every way (including magazine)

Clem                                except for slightly better ammo economy and better reload

                                           Graaakaaataaa

                                             More damage

                                             More fun

                                              More Dakka

    Is this right?

    Yup.

  7. Dude...

You just made me realize that real ninjas were most likely farmers. Most of the ninja implements were converted farm tools.

What do we do in Warframe? We farm.

So we're actually fulfilling the true identity of the ninjas, by pretending to ultra awesome space warriors, but we are in fact farmers who just so happen to have access to one hell of an arsenal.

    Plus we have cool moves.

  8. Lotus Tree from Homer's Odyssey

"The lotus tree is mentioned in Homer's Odyssey as bearing a fruit that caused a pleasant drowsiness, and which was said to be the only food of an island people called the Lotophagi or Lotus-eaters. When they ate of the lotus tree they would forget their friends and homes and would lose their desire to return to their native land in favor of living in idleness."

  9. RIP Nyx Prime's Spine

Pose looks a bit exaggerated to me tbh but it's still pretty awesome. Great weapon perspective and coloring though.

If this isn't on Prime Time I don't know what would be

  10. Not confirmed- but 99% probable. The 10 second teasure they put out for the second dream showed stalker being surrounded/approached by sentients.

DE has been very very tight lipped for once- even when that leak came in codex with a ton of mods, there wasn't really anything that showed anything coming in U18, which is even more surprising. I wouldn't expect confirmation of anything coming in U18, we'll just have to wait and see what all it holds next week when it's released.

It's true though, I'm surprised at how secretive DE is for this update. Usually we'd get lots of teasers and/or things to hype about weeks in advance, but the players and fanbase have practically no idea what's really coming now.

my hype levels are slowly but surely rising

  11. -snip-

Just my opinion, but while the AI may be the root cause, the problem is that at our current level of power, any dedicated effort invested into rebuilding the AI from scratch will just be rendered pointless due to them not lasting long enough to show off their AI. Once the multishot/ weapon damage rework rolls around, maybe that's when we can start talking about AI overhauls.

On-topic though, the "unalerted" time window already exists for melee kills, so all that's needed is to somehow make it work for automatic weapons. From what I've seen, the current state is that the moment an enemy receives damage it is immediately alerted unless the shot kills it. Because automatic weapons don't always kill on the first shot, if you have a running stealth multiplier and you get a non-lethal shot on the next enemy, the multiplier immediately cancels because the enemy is alerted, even if you have a Hush mod equipped.

Just wondering, do burst weapons keep the stealth multiplier better than automatic weapons do?
