    Shield Flux is Transmute only.  Maybe if people would of complained about the smaller things, bigger things wouldn't of happened.....

     

    Shield Flux is a common mod, so it is a lot easier and cheaper to transmute both in mods and credits.

    If the majority of players are saying they would rather have  their Kubrow look exactly how they wanted (hot pink? lime green? etc), I am happy to pass this along to dev to seek and consider possible alternatives for this cosmetic outlet.
     
    Your issues with this are in DE decisions, no one elses, so do not derail feedback and discussions with fearful claims of outside influence when no such thing as taken place. 
     
    I absolutely get that it's the 'random' element in exchange for Platinum that is rubbing people the wrong way in the case of this cosmetic option. 
    Real world: putting a quarter in a gumball machine, wanting a pink one, and getting a blue one. You still have a gumball, but it's not the exact flavour you wanted. Put in another quarter to get a chance at a different gumball, but you're paying for the gumball every time. 
    Warframe's case: You're getting the gumball, and the gumball machine, for free, with wait times on delivery. If you think you want one free gumball to look different, you can throw a few quarters in the machine. 
     
    But again, will pass along to dev to see what their thoughts are. 

     

    But in this scenario you still have 3 gumballs, yet with warframe's case you throw away the previous gumballs.

    That basically sums up this thread-overblown bombastic whining with no basis in reality.

    First, the comment itself-you've heard of these things called imprints, right? Besides, you've got roughly a one in four chance even if you do it cold.

    Second, the attitude-"I'm going to make everything a bigger deal than it is so people care because I'm a special snowflake who needs to be attended to"

    When I started reading this thread, I was pretty sympathetic. I mean, it DOES suck losing stuff that you've put a lot of time and effort into. But look over there, it's a company that gives a crap! To quote from the hotfix:

    A new Kubrow Egg.
    A Kubrow Incubator
    Kubrow Food
    A Kubrow Stasis Slot
    A Kubrow blank Trait Print
    10 x Kubrow Mods.

    Now, I'm not sure exactly what the Incubator and Food lines are about, perhaps they meant power core and stabilisers? But apart from that, you got everything you need to start your own new Kubrow again, free of charge. And, oh look, even MORE than that. An EXTRA stasis slot, so you can have another shot at getting your breed if this puppy doesn't work out, AND the mod set. Even if they're giving you unranked copies, you could SELL the top mods and get back as much plat as you're likely to have spent on the puppies (and more if prices I hear are to be believed). That's if you don't keep them and save the grind time (I wasn't kidding when I said five hours of time for no results).

    Do you guys have the SLIGHTEST bit of gratitude that DE actually acknowledged that it was their mistake and have tried to compensate you, rather than saying "That's the chance you took with a new update"? Of COURSE not, because this game was made to cater to your personal whims, right?

    Get some perspective.
