so now that Gauss Prime is out, and an increase in his base sprint speed, I'm curious if anyone has done any tests yet to see which frame is faster: to my knowledge it was originally Volt, but maybe that's changed now? if anyone has timed runs of them or other footage, I'd love to see it. also feel free to share Gauss/Volt builds and share what you love about them both in general, consider this thread a place for all things speed!

Iirc it's still volt but the real MVP is still Titania followed by Nova.

First off, I am aware I will be roasted by Xaku mains for this, but I was looking at the upcoming primes, and Xaku is soon-ish.

A friend of mine suggested that they shouldn't be primed, because of what they are, a combination of 3 other frames that were lost.
Which made me remember, we NEVER got the Lost Frames that make up Xaku. Which I think was a HUGE missed opportunity.

So what I'm suggesting, is why not get them in prime form only? They are lost frames, so its not unreasonable to not be able to have the non prime versions of them that the tenno make today. We already have a couple weapons that only have prime versions, why not these 3 be only prime too?

The idea of the lost frames is already baked into Xaku's lore, parts of their bodies are already designed on Xaku's model, and one of each of their moves is already set up in Xaku's kit.
Doing these 3 as the next primes when Xaku's time comes up would be a very unique

Here's a link to a reddit post I first saw them visualized on, and an image of the frames in question. I am aware its a fan edit, but still.

They'll probably go the Revenant/Nidus route and give Xaku prime some special lore explaining how he was created (probably by the void/alternate dimension like Revenant Prime was).

  3. The way I'm hoping the story will go is a sort of "stop the future" kind of storyline.

Think of it like the end of the current Fortnite storyline where one of the (few remaining) characters went back in time to the original Fortnite to change the end event, which basically stopped the events of chapters 2-4 (or at the very least changed them significantly) and created chapter 5.

What if we get a storyline where at the end, no matter what, The Man in the Wall wins because he escaped the void into the Lotus, and then we have to go back into time, stop Ballas/Narmer from taking over the system, save the Lotus, and then stop the Man in the Wall from escaping to prevent this "inevitable outcome."

So if she was turned into a warframe what warframe would she be turned into? Well we can safely rule out any male warframe for obvious reasons, leaving just the female warframes.

So based on the warframes stories I have a few possible theories. But I'll start with the one that I don't think is likely.

If she did become a Warframe, it would be a new one (that would probably also be super unique one obtained from a major quest like Excalibur Umbra).

And that wouldn't even mean she'd be playable either, they could just give her lotus treatment or something.

However, it's unlikely that we'll ever see her ingame since even Ballas used Lotus to replace her and Lotus (optionally) believes that she is a continuation of Margulis's consciousness. If Margulis was still out there and wasn't the Lotus then Ballas would have done something about that by now.

Go on. The only reason any element of player interaction in shieldgate abuse (an odd interaction for sure that only got its mod because DE identified that players were making their own fun with it and, being a game designed around the notion of “Make your own fun”, it made sense they’d keep it as an option in some form) is necessary is because players haven’t figured out how to stand around invincible for an infinite amount of time without input; any element of skill is due to the lack of being able to remove it and is not desired, and it’s not even a very good example of gameplay design

Well yes but no. Shield gate was always designed to be the way it was, just without the key. It would make more sense to say that brief respite is the actual thing being exploited, and even then DE has made frames like Protea and Wisp that intentionally benefit from shield gate (but at this point it doesn't matter, DE did rework shields so it's more balanced now).

And you already said the other thing: if it wasn't for shield gate, everyone would be building for armor + adaptation which would be a lot more of standing around tanking compared to being killed for a simple mistake in shield gate.

Not to mention that shield gate doesn't protect the player against toxin damage or staggers. The amount of times I've died to getting stun locked in steel path balanced out shield gate for me, it's just that people love to spam primed surefooted to nullify this weakness (and believe me, if there was an arcane or mod to remove all toxin damage, people would use it).

Did they remove the obsidian sedai syandana?

I recently merged my PC and PS4 accounts because I had a bunch of items on my PS4, I had the Obsidian Sedai Syandana which I liked, but when I looked in my syandana menu it was not there so I checked my inventory I found it, I then went on the wiki and I could not find a trace of it, did they remove it?

Obsidian/Jade/Opal cosmetics will not cross over across platforms, sorry about that.

A returning player shouldn't have to come to the forums, or look up guides to figure out how to play the new content.

They should if it's a live service game, because those games always have meta shifts...

For example, in Destiny a bunch of stuff got nerfed and more stuff will be nerfed. People used to run infinite grenades on solar hunter but now you can't do that anymore, so obviously those people have to find a new build for the new content. It's just how these games work...

Easily done with Primed Flow or Archon Flow. One mod and you're there, which works out much better

True, but maybe some people don't feel like having to go out of their way for it... Not to mention Valkyr 4 is energy intensive.

Also purple shards just got added, not everyone has a ton of them yet unless they want to sacrifice their red ones.

Kinda surprised that's not the biggest reason why players would abandon "Warframe at home" for a better system.

Honestly I think more people will play WF because of cross save, for example, people going on vacation or something can actually play on their accounts while away from their pc/console (it's pretty normal for people to have the switch as a secondary console for games like Zelda, Pokemon, and Smash Bros).

You have to ask yourself why DE added Heavy Attack in the first place.

To give you something outside of spamming normal attacks? To give you one big attack instead of multiple smaller ones?

Just because some weapons are better at heavy attacks compared to others doesn't mean they're all useless.

Your comparison on Rapiers doesn't even make sense because one is a single handed weapon vs a two handed weapon that literally says in it's description (galantine for example) that it's made for multiple enemies. Also Rapier is faster compared to heavy blades and doesn't need as much attack speed to feel good.

Not to mention that rapiers are stab weapons, not slash weapons, otherwise it'd just be another sword/Nikana which are the categories used for cutting swords.

It doesn't matter if it's harder to combo because the whole point of tennokai is saving your combo so it legitimately doesn't matter if you're building it more slowly or not.

congrats! after losing 5 times to it I just decided to use Styanax with Nourish, joined a random pub, and just spammed my 4 to make everyone in the group invincible forever lol.

Its a fun fight, for sure. But I'm not a good enough player to just dodge everything, and I didn't want to bother making/ changing builds just for the one fight. And if I want to bash my head against a wall for hours until I win id rather replay Elden Ring lol. So cheese for me it was!

Couldn't you just use Revenant/Wisp immunity spam in that case?

This makes most melee obsolete all because they don't have high base crit for "Blood Rush" or don't have a good Heavy Attack. Stances with forced Slash procs are all in. Everything else is ignored. It's a nice playstyle change for sure. At the cost of putting lots of melee weapons into the mastery fodder pile.

And incarnon weapons didn't? Bro you're acting like most melees were meta or something, but it literally hasn't been this way since guns got buffed (and that was before incarnon guns with crazy multipliers).

They added melee arcanes at the very least so I think this is a good change overall.

    warframe is a nice game

It's such a nice game fr.

Definitely one of the best free games, the only real competitors in terms of content are anime gacha games like genshin lol.

Perhaps I'm simply being nostalgic, but I have been feeling as if the pace of modern day Warframe to be a bit troubling (not to be dramatic). I find myself missing those moments to stop and "smell the roses" if I may. Warframe is truly a beautiful game and I find it a shame that so much of it is rushed through at a breakneck speed and intensity as if efficiency rules all.

I'm genuinely curious if anyone else feels as I do; this is not intended to stir up S#&$. Please leave your thoughts below!

    🙂💗

I kinda understand that. I remember starting the game in 2020 and the coolest thing ever was watching a video on doing Lua Spy and being able to do it from start to finish without any mistakes.

Oh yeah back then I also thought Limbo was the coolest frame ever because he could just ignore damage and run through lasers (said video was by iflynn and he was basically saying how good Limbo was, which started a phase that ended up with me using a Limbo Prime in New War).

All of that sounds just like something eluding to the whole 1999 stuff. Time travel, the interference involved and, perhaps, accessing the other scenarios of us that we saw fall during Wally's handshake. Wally has sight of these eternalism instances and we very well could be in for some fun with those.

Ironically, I'm now starting to think all of our Sun/Moon/Middle choices will have us on different paths in an upcoming update. You very well may be the Tenno engaging the Lotus, while my Tenno gets caught in the void storm after the Lich fight. That would be hella cool if that were the case!

    Actually that sounds sick.

Like in Fortnite OG (when they recently brought back the original map) where one of the characters went back in time to change future events, but instead it's the tenno trying to undo whatever lets wally escape or something.

Imagine we go through multiple of the major quests or we get a better New War where we don't lose and take on all the sentients and the Lotus/Erra ourselves.
