  1. Precisely why I boycott the system. I've never used a riven mod and I never will. I give them away to clan mates or turn them into the pitiful amount of Endo they're worth.

Tell you what...I have a veiled pistol riven lying around. I've not even bothered to unveil it. It's yours if you want it. PM me in game, I should be online tonight. Better you have fun with it than me turning it into endo.

     Musical talent and skill

    Oh, this argument.

    Alright I'll humour you.

    1) The ability to come up with good melodies, understanding harmony, understanding how chord progressions work, etc. are absolutely worthy of being called "talent."

    2) "Skill" does not mean only your voice, your fingers on a guitar or a harp or a violin or a drumkit. If a computer programmer used computer code to generate sounds that sound pleasing, that's absolutely worthy of being called "skill." And believe it or not, "flow" and "groove" can be described by mathematical equations perfectly well.

I agree to an extent about your autotune comment but there are people who use autotune creatively and not simply to hide flaws in their singing (yes I think TPain is creative, come at me bro). Look, I'm being entirely honest here: your argument certainly does sound like musical puritanism to me. Nothing against you personally, but this idea that "it ain't music if it ain't 80's" kinda thing is something I find laughable. No rudeness intended on my part, I'm just trying to drive a point home. HOW music is created is irrelevant. If it sounds good, it's music. The ONLY argument you have that has any semblance of legitimacy is "I don't like it." Because different strokes for different folks.

  3. Okay so first off I think "bardframe" was an informal name given to her: her skillset was thematically similar to what a chanter/bard does, but I'm not sure what the problem with the songs being electronica is. A futuristic space ninja-bard would TOTALLY do electronica if you ask me. Does not have to be a *literal bard of yore* for the theme to work. Electronic music is as much music as any other form of music, and this argument that it is somehow "less real" holds no water whatsoever, since there is nothing that defines "real" here. If you give me the BS that "digital is fake" please delete your entire music collection, burn your CD's, and only listen to vinyl records from this point on. If you make the argument that they're not real instruments being used, what exactly IS a "real" instrument? Why does it diminish the musicality of a piece if it uses a synthesizer?

Regarding the look of the powers and the dancing,  I'm of neutral opinion so I neither agree nor disagree with the OP.

EDIT: yep I'm a little passionate about music. All music. Techno to death metal.

  4. The biggest problem I face is falling. If I fall the test is basically over. I try to be cautious but that slows me down way too much.

I'm using a Soma Prime with fire rate, damage, reload speed and magazine size mods, hip firing plenty, and using Loki. No additional mobility mods like Mobilize equipped because that causes me to overshoot my bullet jumps. I'm hipfiring as much as possible but I cannot seem to do it.

Any pointers on how to get past this would be appreciated.

    Thank you!

We don't know whether there will be a way to remove the cyst without making a kubrow with it at this time. It will be a question we will need to ask DE when they come back.

I see. If it cannot be done without a Kubrow, then it's deeply unsettling that....you know, essentially holding fashionframe hostage to force players to use Kubrows.

In any case, thanks for your reply!

  6. Man, I have to say you've been dropping the ball DE. This was by far the worst quest released so far. Mainly because with the premise (and oh that first mission was OUTSTANDING), it could actually be interpreted as SOLID commentary on social and ethical issues. But it was a great opportunity squandered away in favour of making the game senselessly grindy because apparently players have no life outside of Warframe. GOOD LORD that Index was rage inducing, mind numbingly repetitive, boring, and the quest itself has NOTHING TO DO WITH NIDUS. What? Erm...

Nidus on the other hand was an immaculately designed frame. I've been levelling him up and it's been a blast so far.

Sigh....you're driving me away from warframe, guys. Please. Stop shoehorning things such as the Index into quests, you know, "just 'cause". Stupid high build costs, new resources keep getting added to the game whether or not their inclusion in certain quests makes sense lore wise (WHY does Nidus need Kuva again?), Hema research cost (WHAT THE...)...I'm really getting burned out. Not on Warframe, but on how players are being treated. It's unfortunate, and very sad. I want to love this game, but you folks aren't making it easier for me.

The fact that the mod is randomized and requires a unique entry in the database instead of the cookie cutter mods that we all have.

Okay it makes sense now. But then it would make it a mechanic that's simply not scalable....why would anyone implement something like this?

    I find it rather perplexing

Considering that each riven mod takes a spot on the server and the load that kind of thing can bring to the table, it's not unreasonable to have the 'technical difficulties" handled by charging for extended service, phone companies do this with data, why can't DE do this with rivens that put a load on their server?

Please explain how a riven mod takes up more server resources than a regular mod?

  9. Hey.

Thanks very much for the QoL updates.

    Real talk. Disappointing.

Until a fix is implemented for:

    1) Mods that make OP weapons even more OP still dropping

    2) Mods that make weapons worse still dropping (NEGATIVE damage mods....wat)

    3) Mods like a CRIT mod for the MITER (that cannot crit) still existing

The Riven system is something I won't bother with.

I sincerely hope these will be addressed in the near future.

    Yes, your point? Non sequitur.

Just have fun with the game and don't complain.

When there are things I feel are wrong with the game, I will complain. Freedom of speech and everything. I've been respectful throughout, so I don't see the problem. I want you to TRY and stop me. Because the only way you can is by convincing me with reason that I'm wrong, not by asking me to shut up.

This is, after all, a FREE game.

Nope, not to me it isn't, I spent a significant sum of money on the game. Granted I did it of my own accord, but "it's a free game" is, at best, a poor justification for having systems that will hurt the game. Again, hurting the game is my opinion here, but please, for god's sake, give me a better answer than "it's a free game."

    ....Sigh.

I wish people knew how to make sense while criticizing opposing viewpoints without resorting to "it's free so STFU" type arguments.

By the way, if you're looking to avoid Finishers when attacking enemies, one way that I usually do is cast Slash Dash on a bunch of blinded enemies before swinging at them. Knocking down a blind enemy will remove the Finisher prompt, so you can slash away at them with no interruptions as long as you aren't looking down.

    THIS is some GOLDEN advice.

Holy crap. So I can actually use slashdash for something useful now. Dude, you're making me fall in love with Excalibur all over again. :D

Part of me wants to say that spin blind will override the original blind, but I've never actually explicitly tested it. I'll go do that now.

    EDIT:

Casting Mini-Blind on a properly Blinded enemy will NOT override it. You'll be able to perform Finishers as normal.

Fun fact, though-- If you mini-Blind an enemy past the original Blind's duration (e.g. if your Blind lasts for 15 seconds, but you start spamming mini-Blinds starting at 14 seconds and keep the enemy blinded for well over a minute this way) then you'll still be able to perform Finishers even though the first Blind has technically already expired.

The mini-Blind seems to function as a full-powered Blind (except with a low duration and range, of course) if it's cast on an enemy that's already affected by a full-powered Blind and is still prone to Finishers. It doesn't simply ensure that a Finisher-prone enemy stays Finisher-prone-- since it won't extend things like Parry Finisher windows past their usual duration.

    Wow I completely missed this.

Thank you SO much for testing it!

The reason I asked is because I was wondering if there was a way to lock enemies in a blind stun and NOT get myself locked into finisher animations when I kill them. But since it doesn't work I'll just find another way to kill things I guess.

Thank you once again kind sir!
