  1. The RNG loadouts usually hand me something I can, if not exactly excel with, then at least get positively cracked once a couple Decrees roll in.

Seriously, people.  Get your Decrees going.  They're your leveler when the RNG deals a horrible hand out, there's almost always going to be SOMETHING in your first set that can work for you.

  2. Or it could be that Stalker threw a Warframe off before it was sent.  New War spoilers incoming below.

    Spoiler

Given that Stalker helps Drifter out during the New War proper, I wouldn't put it past our local edgelord to, by his own "logic", declare Drifter innocent of the crime of murdering the Orokin and decide 'nah bro, we're cool, lemme help you out'.  Of course, this being Stalker, he does so by hijacking a spot reserved for another Warframe and teleporting himself in, but who's keeping score?

  3. Just make a console next to them hackable, but it cannot be Ciphered, you only get one go, and it defaults to the hardest level of hacking.

If it succeeds, the Solaris is freed, and you gain 50% of the Standing then if you sacrificed a Crown.  This Standing also matches the tier of Crown that would spawn in the mission.  If you fail, the Solaris is taken away and you lose that same 50% Standing.

Using a Crown would work as it does now.

  4. I can support this.  Maybe start at 75% clear (ie, you get a good outline of your Warframe but a very clear sight picture) while aiming down the sights) and make it adjustable under 'Gameplay' in the options menu.

If you want MAXIMUM STYLE POINTS, maybe make the color of said opacity affected by your Emissive/Energy color (a toggle, of course, otherwise it defaults to dark gray)

My guess is that the kids in the Zariman were just the first generation of Tenno. Once they were recovered and studied by the Orokin, they probably found a way to artificially turn other kids into Tenno. That's just wild speculation from my side, but It sounds a bit more coherent than a single shipped packed with 30 million kids.

Plus, if we're being real here?  It certainly wouldn't be out of character for the Orokin to do this exact sort of thing.

  6. So, the quest:

    • Great introduction to the mechanics of the [spoiler area] and a good intro to Glaives (since this is intended for MR4s who likely don't have much choice in equipment).
    • Good new villain [Spoiler contains Deadlock Protocol spoilers]
    • Spoiler

Albeit one in name only;  I get the strange feeling Parvos and us might outright be allies given his last mailing and his seemingly friendly attitude toward Biz and Eudico, though given he's still holding Solaris hostage this is a definite 'maybe'

    • Manages to make Nef Anyo, of all people, very slightly sympathetic while still reminding us he's a callous monster
    • More Vox Solaris is always a win
    Spoiler

Buuut the Xoris over-reliance, even if it's a great tutorial for how to throw Glaives and make them go boom, feels like it comes out of left field and can be a minor pain for those who don't use Glaives on the regular, or who have their Heavy Attacks bound to something weird.

I agree up until they force you to use a glave, I hate glaves and all that thing did was make that last fight ultra clunky.

Other than that I loved every shred of the quest. There was a lot of "Nailed it!" that was going on.

My only lingering fear is that I might have to keep dragging that clunk around when I go back into the rifts to (I assume) collect Proteas component blueprints. Fingies crossed that I don't and it can collect dust in my arsenal.

    Spoiler

If you don't want to, you don't have to.  You'll lose an opportunity for bonus time by freeing imprisoned Solaris, though.

I actually quite like it, myself.  Been a while since we got a new Glaive, and it's ability to hold a combo forever means I can use Corrupt Charge without consequence.

  8. The Prisma variant has good augments and is a lot more practical then the Twin Grakatas, with the same mag size, faster reload, higher damage on a bullet-by-bullet basis, higher status chance, and somewhat easier recoil.  On the other hand, the Twin Grakatas are perhaps the most 'fun' weapons in the game.  You're basically firing walls of bullets with doubled up assault rifles, but the reload takes forever, you reload often, and your ammo economy is on par with the USA's.  Starts off looking good, but rapidly crashes at the first sign of trouble.

  9. I'd argue that that ignoble honor goes to either Nyx (Outdone in her own niche by Loki's 4, Mind Control is useless as ever, Psychic Bolts hits too few enemies, and Absorb is still impractical) or, ironically, Loki (Other frames can run invisibility, keep it up better, and aren't saddled with two useless abilities; He's only great due to Radial Disarm at this point which, while still an amazing CC tool just doesn't offer much use in the grand scheme of things)

    I find it unlikely.

Specifically, the Buisness is a fighter and a secret agent - in fact, if some of the talk is any indication, one almost as good as a Tenno. It appears that it is that which he is atoning for. In so many words, he's John Wick.

This explains his access to military equipment, and perhaps even his nickname. He was the best in 'the business', to the point where he was 'The Business'. He still has all those old contacts, and clout to use them.

Which leaves me with one simple, burning question.

    Who killed his Kubrow?

You simply outgrow him. Armor changes helped speed that up. And him being mostly melee has always made him easier than his first form.

He needs to be gifted a 3ed form, maybe sometime during the New War story, to keep him relevant.

All the other hunters could have at least had a second form by now too.

This.  More than anything, Stalker (really the assassins in general) simply stop being a threat and more like a piggy bank waiting for a hammer once you do certain things, and even then the Corpus and Grineer assassins simply require you to be able to deal large spikes of damage.  Shadow Stalker can at least eat a round or two before dying.  I'd argue the lot of them need to be reworked into something other than an artifact.

  12. It isn't really that he's weakened, it's more that Operators have Amps and so many means of resetting his adaptation.  He's barely able to move nine times out of ten due to sheer, sundering firepower being focused on (initially) a stationary target.
