  1. It's a tragic case where it's a good idea (lay a corrosive bubble minefield of death) that falls apart when put to practice (we can kill it before it hits the minefield), and it seems like the Stug's just going to forever be in this weird little spot where it's... Sort of there.  I've no doubt it can be a decent sidearm with the right build and setup, but nine times out of ten, there is a sidearm better suited for the task at hand.  Extermination or Capture?  Quick, high-intensity burst.  Take the Twin Grakatas, the Akstiletto Prime, or the Euphona Prime.  (Mobile) Defense or Interception?  Might be where the gun's best suited, but it's outdone by the Castanas or Talons.  Hijack, Disruption, Defection?  Forget the Stug, you're constantly moving.  Take a bullet hose.

It's a good concept, but it's statistics don't do it any favors, and it doesn't much fit into normal gameplay.

Now, with that being said, can you make it good?  Well, yes.  Use Vauban's Tether Mines or Vortex to force opponents onto the Stug's bubbles, and focus on pure damage with a side of stats - Crits aren't exactly the Stug's strong suit.  Lay down a bunch of minimal-charged bubbles and force opponents over the minefield.

Then stop being selfish and play solo. Thos ewho want to play with others and help lichs want to play the game the way it was intended. Just ignore your lich completely accept stolen items and stay solo for lich missions. You can brute force the code by guessing and either way the cap is level 5 of a lich it doesnt get that much harder. Accept that not attempting is progress hostage for the rest of the squad and extremely trollish imo. Devs need to either enable multiple lich spawns or introduce a mechanic that penalises not attempting at all.

And Arkenstar I call BS in my 7 lichs ive never seen that happen unless as i stated its a friendly lich. They spawn back to back but never at the same time (unless friendly)

Right back at you, buckaroo.  If you want to go after your Lich so badly, go it alone to ensure it's your Lich that spawns in.  I'm not wasting a revive because I had my own Lich clock in first for that day's murder session while I'm still figuring out what goes where so I can claim his gun for myself.  Also, about those stolen items - Oh no, what's a thousand Credits when I got 1.5 million?  What's 1 Common mod out of five copies I got that mission?  Oh no, he stole a rare precept mod that came with my Adarza, time to commit honorable sudoku (/s).  Only items that are gonna anger me are Sortie rewards, anything Ayatan, and any Blueprints, and even then, oh well.  I'll get there when I get there.  But don't make me play the game at your pace because you're so impatient to claim a shiny object for yourself.

Also, don't know if you've noticed, but Liches can claim more turf as they level up.  And their missions get harder.  And they can steal Requiem Relics (which is actually another item that angers me.  Stop stealing what I need to make progress.)  Right now, I'm trying to get Requiems so I have shots at getting the mods I need to deal a permanent end to my Lich, I don't want him taking over any more turf so he doesn't mess with Kuva Siphons/Floods and possibly yoink my Relics out from under me.  Ergo, not gonna let him level up.  Ergo, leaving him the hell alone while I get Murmurs so I can piece together which mods are needed to begin with, so I'm not doing your method of attempting to delete him dozens of times at worst.

In short, stop being a selfish ass, kill your Lich solo if it's that important to you, and let people like me piece together the code they need to get rid of theirs.

  3. I have had Liches appear back-to-back before, like as soon as one went away the next got their turn from the Lich line to make us ride the pain train.  I ignore mine because I am simply under-equipped to deal with him (by which I mean I'm still figuring out the murder code and getting the 'please do not come back' cards), and don't feel like getting my back broken for the third time this week.  I'm not going it alone because you got unlucky with Lich spawns and I don't want to get the Bane special this time.

Oh that's interesting, I almost completely forgot about Vazarin, I've just been one-sided with the focuses and haven't touched half of them since the Naramon nerf. I might have to farm me up some of that Vazi focus, seems like it's time to experiment a bit.

I really haven't had any problems with his survivability on missions, it's just that dang simulacrum testing where his deficiencies come through when 100+ level corrupts surround him and start blasting at the same time. Unfortunately, I like to test all too often and forget that the game itself isn't that hard but I like to know that Excalibro can tank-smack anything , anytime!

Thanks for chiming in and helping the community!

Hey, no problem.  It's also a great ability if you wanna be a team player or help heal people while running a non-healing Warframe, and those seconds of invuln can save a def objective from an incoming grenade, or a teammate from something that would be fatal otherwise.  And it works on you, too, letting you free up a Magus for something else, like Lockdown.  Only problem is, it's not Waybound.

Vazarin in general is a very underrated, but safe bet if you want to help but don't know what everyone else is packing, which is all the time for me personally.  Everyone loves free healing and invulnerability.  Except maybe a Chroma who needs his Vex Armor built up, but that's honestly about it.

  5. In terms of healing/providing a quick 'OH CRAP' panic button, one seriously underrated approach is Mending Dash.  It lets you heal a % of HP to any ally (Yourself, your Sentinels, and your pets included) you use Void Dash through, and provides a few seconds of invulnerability on top of that.  Best part, it works on defense objectives, and (provided they've begun to regenerate HP) the healing is intense.

Though, it's not as great in the thick of it, which is where Excal shines best, so take that with more than a few grains of salt.

Kuva Liches stealing important thing is not really unfair.
What is unfair is that it doesn't give back all the loot.
I've lost an ayatan sculpture of sortie that way, so I assume it can make us lose other importants things..
If his list of loot doesn't conserv everything it's not a big deal, but at least that the importants things on the list be "flagged" to be given back.

That's an acceptable compromise actually.  Flag 'blueprints, Sortie Rewards' to be returned.  Just, please stop letting them grab Requiem Relics.  If they keep taking the thing we need to kill them, that's the only part of the system that feeds into something of a negative feedback loop.

  7. Hello, guide-maker!  Just wanted to share, your pic of Vaporize is outdated.  The range was buffed way the hell up as of Update 25.7, and it also stacks with mods.equipped to the gun.  Quoth the wiki:

Missed Vaporize Changes from Update 25.7.0

This was initially meant for the upcoming release of Dethcube Prime, but it squeezed through the Mainline cracks.

    • Vaporize's base Damage of 600 now multiplies with Mods equipped to your Sentinel's gun.
    • Increased Vaporize’s max Range to 30 meters from 4 meters.
    • Decreased the cooldown to 10 seconds from 30 seconds.
    Additional Vaporize Changes
    • Vaporize now has Punchthrough and can hit multiple enemies at once.
    • Updated the FX of Vaporize.
  8. If it's low-level and my team's already got things settled, I'll make sure to throw my lot in, but if there's a mining hotspot near me?  I'll cut some ores and gems free, because, hey.  You guys got this covered and I'll be back shortly.  I won't waste my time entirely farming while my team's running a Bounty, ofc, that's pure evil.  But if we got this?  I'll help myself a bit more.

  9. Okay, I'm fine with a Lich nabbing resources, but as long as said rewards aren't anything rare/irreplacable/blueprints/rewards from the mission itself.  If they are, that's a serious problem.  Like actually a problem.  I don't want to burn an hour on survival only to find the Lich stole three rewards.  That's just dumb.  But if it can nab common/uncommon mods and resources?  That, I'm okay with.  Well I'm not okay, it's stealing my stuff, but it's not going to make me angry beyond all reason.

  10. Also, Ivara IIRC can only be nabbed later on in the star chart because of where her BPs drop from to begin with.  Realistically, Loki's a better "early" choice (as he comes from Neptune's boss, IIRC).  Rhino's the easiest frame to acquire early on, and he'll hold his own for a large portion of the chart.

Also, OP, if you have the Cred to spare, acquire Vauban.  He's getting a rework next week, and IIRC if you have him by then, you'll get a gift for assistance in tweaking Booben.

  11. As far as I'm concerned, Catchmoon was pretty nuts to begin with.  Big projectile that flies further/faster then Arca Plasmor, hits out to 40m, can easily hit 100% SC (I use Zipfire)?  It's bonkers.  This sort of nerf's the only way they can balance it out.

As far as practical use post-nerf... Y'all like Glaives?

  12. Realistically, you should get Rhino.  He's a good frame for new players.  No micromanaging powers outside of hitting 2 and 3 every so often, very simple, very easy to understand, and the build reqs are cheap as hell.

Ash is a pain to farm, because his normal set is locked behind Grineer Manics, and his Prime set is Vaulted and shows no signs of being unvaulted, unless ofc they change that and get him out of the Vault for the next series.  Alongside Trinity.

  13. Operator's not that great at the start.  Keyword being, 'at the start'.  Once you start really investing into their Focus, you can make them absolutely monstrous, either for Eidolons and in normal gameplay.  They activate all Focus passives instantly instead of requiring Transcendence first, come with two sources of knockdown, an invisibility that self-charges, a whole series of weapons that self-recharge, and if you dig into Focus, they can also provide instant invincibility/healing, free Energy at your beck and call, add damage to all outgoing attacks, and so on and so forth.

It's difficult, but put the time in.  You won't be disappointed.

When people with Double digit MR select their newly built frame, don't put any survivability whatsoever in it, and don't bother really trying to keep themselves alive when they hit up Hydron. Having to pick up a 100 health/100 shield warframe every 2 seconds because they expect to have infinite health when they try swinging their leveling melees in enemy faces is pain.

I at least try to stay out of the fight or use guns, but I never, ever, no matter the frame, leave home without adding Vitality first.  At the very least.

In that case monkey boy, it's probably the clones casting the gems, I don't play mirage much either lol, I'll have to ask the Mirage enthusiast in my clan when he jumps on.

If I had to take a stab at it, the Mirage is likely just throwing out multiple casts.  I dunno, do subsequent casts destroy the gems or spawn more of them in?
